05/07/2026: Last night we saw on the Black Cat's Instagram account that entry was free. Imagine our surprise when we arrived and had to pay €10 to get in! It's completely unacceptable to engage in false advertising! We'll never go back to the Black Cat again.

07/08/2026: A terrible experience, I strongly advise against going there!
A 45-minute wait for only 6 crepes, even though the restaurant was empty. The staff was unfriendly and completely disorganized; no one communicated with each other. Three out of the six crepes weren't even the ones I ordered.
The crepes were cold, dry, and tasteless, the cheese was hard, and the fried egg was practically hard as well. Even the fries were tasteless.
In short, avoid this place! Very disappointed, especially considering the price.
20/07/2026: The fries were unsalted and the meat was undercooked. The staff, however, were friendly.

04/09/2025: We came as a couple. The crepes were so thin that my partner had to order two 😲 The prices are high, too high for what they are. We didn't have dessert. And none of the ciders on the menu were available.
We do not recommend it.

The owner is awful. I was attacked as soon as I arrived. Go somewhere else.
14/06/2026: Used the cash machine in their bar, just to play pool. Asked for a split to play pool, they agreed. Then got very angry at us and borderline squared up to for asking how the pool table worked, as it wasn’t the same as one we had used before. Was so dramatic, then complained about us not having bought a drink yet, 5 minutes into being there, on a Saturday night in June when it was completely empty. Will return to Morzine, but not to this bar.

23/09/2024: This Hotel more than lived up to expectations. It is an extremely well run ship. Highly professional staff, very welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Location excellent. Food amazing. Spotlessly clean. Only negative - no lift. Staff were on hand to help with luggage.
21/09/2024: We had a great experience there, outside tables were fully booked so we got to sit inside on a high table, food was amazing, staff friendly although the restaurant was packed

11/08/2024: Arrived on the 6th August with our caravan. The pitch is tight and right opposite the noisey park with inflatables so screaming kids in the evening makes it hard to relax. The electric hook up doesn’t have water also as other campsite do in France. There needs to be a swimming pool
On this site as it is very hot in the summer and the lake isn’t comfortable to sit on a slop. Can I suggest you make the beach area longer! So it’s not comfortable to sit on. The staff in reception are nice and the animation. The staff in the shop are super slow. don’t just go and buy one thing at this shop as it will take you 10 minutes to pay . You are best off getting supplies from Lidl up the road. Will not stay here again it’s too busy for me and also actually quite expensive for 70 euro a night.
11/08/2024: Beautiful campsite well located, 5/10 minutes from the beach depending on your location.

31/03/2024: Awful experience. Staff are rude, demanding you squeeze in and dump clothing, helmets on the floor. Food tastes of soap. Chips were stone cold. Place is a joke, worst mountain restaurant you will come across.
19/03/2024: Service good. Meal poor. This had been one of the few remaining decent restaurants on the slopes in Chamonix which hadn’t been taken over by a corporate group - until now.. Unfortunately it is now a chain of 18 restaurants. I ordered fish and chips for 26 euros. The fish was battered fish fingers out of the freezer, virtually no fish in them, chips also from freezer. My partner ordered vegetable crumble, he thought it tasted like microwave food reheated. Felt ill afterwards as not been eating UPF for several weeks. Gave it 2 stars because service was very good.
