22/01/2026: Our travel agent booked our group here recently. We were a large group. They were very efficient serving the drinks and pizza to us. Our group thought the pizza was fantastic. I would say 2 people could share the one portion if you usually eat 3 slices. If you have a larger appetite then the full pizza portion is food. Everyone in our group had various pizzas and they thought it was great. Highly recommend them if you are visiting this area.

I strongly advise against going there. The meats served in the evening are the same as the ones on the lunch menu the next day, the fries served at lunchtime are reheated in the evening, and if you like prison-like service, you've found the right place. The owner and staff don't seem to know the meaning of "Hello" or "Good evening." The warm welcome and friendliness of José and his team, not to mention the quality of the food they used to serve, are long gone.

03/12/2025: We had a construction site right above us in the building, and we were looking for somewhere to eat lunch. The staff is very friendly. The first day, we had a quick sandwich: they were very good, no complaints, and the staff were really great. The next day, we had more time, so we sat down for a hot meal: I highly recommend it! The dishes are excellent, and the desserts are too. A big thank you to the whole team!

Pleasant terrace and quiet interior, with a phone-free zone—perfect for relaxing.

Don't come here looking for a 5-star hotel ⭐️
Instead, come and treat yourself to the luxury of local cuisine and the warm welcome of the Alps, without the clatter of ski lifts, but with the discreet departure of a gondola that will drop you off right in the heart of the slopes or at the starting points for hiking or snowshoeing.
The welcome in January was so pleasant that I returned in March. An exceptional year of snow!!!
Between the delicious breakfast, the soundproofed rooms, the cheerful staff, and the setting where it's wonderful to dig in your snowshoes in the company of a friendly dog, I had a wonderful time.
Thank you Maxime Christina and congratulations to the owner.

15/12/2025: This Léon de Bruxelles in the northern part of Auxerre is typical of the chain: you go there without any surprises, but you know you'll get a decent meal.
The menu is, of course, focused on seafood, but offers a few options if you don't like fish. I tried the Léon Casserole, which was good, although the amount of fish was a bit small and probably frozen. Be careful with the garnish: although it says sweet potatoes, it's mostly potatoes (about 80%). The paella was okay, but it's more of a French-style paella, nothing exceptional, and the rice used isn't ideal for this dish.
Note that the drinks are quite expensive.
Overall: It's a reliable restaurant for a quick meal if you're not looking for anything original. A decent choice.

04/04/2026: A restaurant I highly recommend for its warm welcome, excellent service, and homemade food. Sea bream with baby vegetables, accompanied by a salad, followed by apple crumble with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Delicious.

04/04/2026: Everything was good, but the portions were too large. It would be better to serve two plates for the amount of food on one. I ordered cod, and the piece was enormous; it could have been divided in two.
For dessert, I had the floating island, but it wasn't an island, it was an iceberg, it was so big!
Everything was tasty, but there was just too much food!
Afterwards, I had a lot of trouble falling asleep because I'd eaten so much!
And that was without an aperitif or starter... I'll go back, but I'll ask about the size of the garnish next time.
The price is reasonable. The staff is good too!

30/09/2025: When we were told we could use the UP lunch card at the entrance, I was supposed to be able to pay with it. However, when the bill arrived, it was impossible to pay with the lunch card, neither with my card nor my wife's. To claim they were accepting the card but then not actually accept it upon arrival seems dishonest to me. (The card hadn't been used before, so a €25 charge was possible, and it was a Thursday!) It made for a poor customer experience.

07/04/2026: Honestly not sure what went wrong that evening. The restaurant itself has a lot going for it — **the dining room is warm and full of Alsatian character**, exactly the kind of setting that puts you in a good mood before the meal even starts.
Which made the experience that followed all the more disappointing. The restaurant was half empty, so I wasn't expecting to wait **an hour and a half for three mains** — but there we were.
What really bothered me was the kids' menu showing up **after we'd almost finished eating**. My son got a burger with a bun so dried out it was basically a cracker, and fries that were way too dark — sweet potato or not, that's just overcooked.
The veal kidneys were actually nicely done, you could tell there's real skill in the kitchen. Just a pity they came out lukewarm.
And the kir at the start? Full of sediment at the bottom — felt very much like the last pour of a tired bottle. Not exactly the vibe you want at the beginning of a meal.
To top it off, with a completely exhausted child ready to fall asleep at the table, we still had to **wait over 10 minutes just to get the bill**. In a half-empty room. At that point you just want to go home, and even that simple ask felt like too much to manage.
Maybe it was an off night. I'd like to think so, because the setting is lovely and the kitchen clearly has potential. But between the timing, the temperature, and a string of careless details, it's hard to recommend right now .
31/12/2025: We came as a family to spend three nights in this cozy and clean hotel. What a wonderful place surrounded by vineyards! The restaurant is superb and the food is delicious, not to mention the warm welcome from all the staff who are so attentive to their guests. An unforgettable stay and we're already looking forward to returning. It's an excellent place; I highly recommend this beautiful, magical spot.
