08/09/2026: We were looking for a fairly unique or themed restaurant. This one ticks all the boxes: mountain, Savoyard, Swiss... in short, the mountain theme. The restaurant is located on the banks of the Oise River. It's really peaceful in a very green setting, really lovely. There's parking right in front of the restaurant. There's a terrace, and the dining room is quite spacious with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The mountain theme is easily recognizable thanks to the colors and decor. We were served by the couple who have run this establishment for a very long time. It shows in their experience and their manner (direct and friendly. Don't be offended!). They're quite funny. The menu is simple, well-written, and well-presented. The signature dishes are the raclette and the fondue. The food is excellent, and the portions are very generous. The price reflects the quality of the service. Important: BOOK IN ADVANCE!

05/05/2026: I really enjoyed my dinner of pork ribs and rice w/ the créme brûlée for dessert. My server was friendly and helpful despite my nonexistent French. I would call this more of a local place that caters to those working at/visiting Le Bouget with a comfortable atmosphere with excellent choices.

19/09/2026: On the recommendation of a restaurant that wasn't open on Saturday nights, we went to La Grignotière. What a great find! Simple, authentic, and delicious cuisine. The marbled foie gras is excellent, the frog legs sublime, and I highly recommend the fried fish. A great place!

12/10/2026: A beautiful place, exuding the calm atmosphere of a British café, with a very kind waiter who was delightful from beginning to end! The homemade apple pie is to die for, with perfectly balanced cinnamon and equally excellent homemade chocolate. A truly worthwhile spot to discover, right next to Shakespeare and Library.

27/07/2026: Beautiful and delicious products, always of excellent quality. We know why we come to the Yellow Shop and, above all, why we keep coming back: it's just too good! Special mention for the Linzer Torte, which is delicious.

26/09/2026: While passing through the area, we grabbed some beef tongue and moussaka from the takeaway vending machine. It was very good, well-prepared, and the portions were generous. I hadn't had beef tongue in a long time, and I wasn't disappointed. Thank you! 🫶

21/09/2026: Slow service just for two pots (mussels marinière). Between arrival and departure (one pot, one dessert, and one coffee per person): total time > one hour. The restaurant wasn't full. But there were only two people serving and taking payments, and they were lovely (friendly welcome). A somewhat mixed experience, which I won't repeat.

22/06/2026: We received a very warm welcome. However, there was an unpleasant smell due to the aging carpeting on the upper floors, and I was very surprised to see carpeting in the restaurant as well! The elevator and air conditioning are very noisy. It's a shame because with a few improvements it would be fantastic.

10/06/2026: The hotel is very well located. It has a lot of charm, with a balcony overlooking the salt flats. The owner's warm welcome, helpfulness, and kindness are particularly noteworthy.

14/09/2026: Good meat, decent service, reasonable price, and continuous service. Perfect for me.

12/09/2026: It's a shame to use frozen products when you're by the sea. And to top it off, they made us sick. The service was misogynistic and not LGBTQ+ friendly. Furthermore, if you order an aperitif and drinks with your meal, they bring everything at once. Before you can even finish your aperitif, the main course is served.

16/06/2026: The hotel is definitely the nicest in the area with beautiful views of the hippodrome and sea. The fitness and spa amenities are great, and the food and wine are quite good. Restaurant service is typically South French, that is to say, merely ok on a good day. My room was a bit worn with the room door, terasse door, and toilet flush button all barely working. However it was very roomy. Housekeeping was hit or miss over the 11 days of my stay, sometimes forgetting to replace or clean things and towards the end my beauty products were taken from the shower and never returned. Front desk staff is kind and helpful. Breakfast buffet is good, but very pricey at €25 for what is available. Dinner and drink prices are more reasonable.

19/05/2026: A 5-star stay from beginning to end (and even before, when we booked our stay). Comfort (room, bedding), cleanliness, responsiveness (important for us as we have a disability). Friendly and personal welcome. Super friendly and dedicated staff across all departments, from the restaurant team and wellness area staff to housekeeping, reception, and the management team, who were always present on-site. The hotel is well-located by the sea, surrounded by all kinds of shops and restaurants. I highly recommend it.

02/10/2026: A great find in Villeneuve-le-Roi! 🇵🇹 A restaurant offering delicious, authentic Portuguese dishes, with a very nice and varied buffet. The food is high quality, the portions are generous, and the service is quick and efficient. A pleasant place to rediscover the flavors of Portugal in a friendly atmosphere. A great find, I highly recommend it!
