18/03/2026: A quality café-restaurant with a good reputation. The bar prices are reasonable, as are the restaurant prices. The decor is perfect. I highly recommend it! However, it's now closed due to safety concerns... We can no longer go there. What a shame!

27/06/2026: The food was tasty, but the areas where the food is prepared and served were very dirty. There was no sign of proper hygiene standards being followed. The entrance to the toilet is also located very close to the food products, which raises serious concerns. Overall, while the taste was good, the cleanliness and hygiene conditions were unacceptable and need significant improvement.

13/10/2026: Where do I start? Terrible, just terrible. We were staying in Bayeux in early September and done some research before we left Ireland (the home of good Guinness). Being an avid Arsenal fan i wanted to see the Champions League game so we checked out the availability of sports bars. Found this place and one of the owners is Irish. So we thought that will do nicely. Went in on the Tuesday evening, a reconnaissance mission if you like just to be sure that the match would be shown the following evening. Went in and a young man was behind the bar, thought I picked up an Irish accent, wasn't sure though, so I asked for a pint of Guinness but didn't watch the pour. Thought I was in safe hands. Wasn't great, bubbles on top, no domage and not one tide mark left on the glass as I drank it. The same as other pints dotted around the place. The owner appears. Went to get another one, see if he would do it any better. Asked for the WiFi code, he didn't know it, empty glass in hand he goes to the kitchen to find out what it was appearing several minutes later with newly found knowledge. Would you not pour the pint first and leave it to settle?No. Same as before but what would you expect when it was one straight pour!!!! Unfortunately we found this to be the same in every establishment we visited in Bayeux, not one place could pour it properly, not one. Guinness could do well to go around to these places and show people how to store and pour a proper pint. Changed to wine after that. The place got a little busier as the night went on but the owner sat at the end of the bar for a good 2 hours non stop scrolling his phone leaving the young lad to it. No interaction with the customers at all. Occasionally looking up at the queue at the bar. We went to leave and I deliberately stood beside him while herself was using the facilities, putting on my coat and looking at some framed military medals, just waiting to see if he would say anything but no. Never took the head out of the phone. Needless to say we went elsewhere the next evening for a meal and drinks to watch the match. They missed a trick there. AVOID AVOID AVOID

15/08/2026: The welcome was friendly and smiling, no complaints there. However, everything else was a huge disappointment. The place is very small and there's nowhere to sit, which isn't very pleasant. The prices are also quite high: I paid €20 for two waffles (one Nutella and one salted caramel) and two drinks, and frankly, considering the quality, it's absolutely not worth it. As for the waffles, they were simply the worst I've ever eaten. They weren't hot, were completely bland, and had a texture/taste that made them seem like they'd been made several days ago. I didn't even eat half of mine. The Nutella wasn't melted and was quite thick, while the salted caramel was also tasteless. Honestly, I make better waffles at home with my waffle iron. For drinks, I had asked for organic lemonade, which was no longer available. No problem, these things happen, and I appreciated being offered an alternative. However, I was offered lemonade, and I was expecting something refreshing, perhaps made with real lemons. In the end, it was Pulco, very sweet, at €2.50… I might as well have just bought a bottle. In the end, €20 for what I actually ate and drank is far too expensive. I'm really disappointed with my experience and unfortunately won't be returning.

13/07/2026: The waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed, and the waffles were slightly overcooked to really appreciate the chocolate inside.

25/07/2026: A great old-fashioned cafe-restaurant that's perfect for a road trip! Very kind owner (40 years of service!), helpful, very good!

29/06/2026: The restaurant offered a very French plat du jour at a reasonable price. However, I did feel a bit force-fed as the service between courses was so quick. I can't comment on the accommodation.

26/07/2026: It's a disaster! I've been here 100 times and there's never any ice. Honestly, not professional at all.

23/07/2026: I love this chain, having been to many Joe and the Juice locations in Paris and London. I've been to this one three times in the last three days, and as someone who works in sales, I don't understand how it's possible to treat customers like that, with such insane nonchalance. Out of three orders and several different employees, only one was kind and welcoming (unfortunately, I don't have her name, but thank you to her). The others were awful for no reason. The sandwiches are great, the drinks too, but paying to feel unwelcome is insane. It's a real shame because it's a fantastic chain, but the staff reflects the brand image, and being served haphazardly, asking for cardboard to pack your sandwiches and getting a dirty look in response is just unacceptable. I sincerely understand that working in sales is hard, especially in the summer and when it's busy, so I completely understand that you can't be smiling and cheerful all the time, that's perfectly fine. But being rude to polite people, I don't understand that.

29/05/2026: A centrally located hotel, overall not bad. The rooms we booked were really small, and for two, it felt cramped. The lobby was also very narrow and unwelcoming. The restaurant where we dined every evening was good, but the menu was a bit monotonous. The staff, what can I say? Friendly, but not very efficient. Overall, not bad, but I've stayed better in other hotels here in Menton.

27/06/2026: Nice little restaurant. We arrived at noon on a Saturday and were the only table there during lunchtime. The service was quick and pleasant, as was the final bill. A minor drawback was the menu... There was no drinks menu available, and the menu for starters, main courses, and desserts was very poorly described. It was difficult to know what to choose when you didn't know what was on the plate. As for the food, the portions were generous from starter to dessert. The only slight downside was the quality of the dishes (the salmon steak was a bit overcooked and dry, and the banoffee wasn't really banoffee).

05/09/2026: I've never seen such a deplorable welcome; the owner is simply odious, vile, avoid at all costs, not even worth one star.

05/09/2026: Impossible to give zero stars. The service was appalling, shameful... There were plenty of tables available, we sat down comfortably, and a waitress curtly told us, "That's not possible, goodbye, and that was it." The other customers eating were all completely taken aback. Just before, I'd been thinking how nice the local businesses were... well, I'll go to the competition, they're much more friendly and pleasant.

09/07/2026: I came for lunch while pregnant and asked for a Caesar salad without egg dressing, with only olive oil and balsamic vinegar. When I clarified my request, the gentleman condescendingly told me that the eggs in the salad were cooked, even though my request only concerned the dressing. Despite this clarification, my salad was served twice with the wrong dressing, containing eggs. It was only after these two mistakes that I was finally brought a salad with just olive oil… this time forgetting the balsamic vinegar I had requested. It really seemed as if this was the first time the establishment had ever served a pregnant customer with a simple request for an adjustment. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of attentiveness, the disregard for my request, and the staff's attitude made this a particularly disappointing experience.

30/09/2026: The traditional roast rabbit with its accompanying vegetables was excellent. Perfectly cooked. Quantity and quality were both present; this is an excellent restaurant in Sées. The price is very reasonable. We had table 111 that day.

25/09/2026: A warm welcome and professional service with a smile. We had the dish of the day: a fillet of sea bass with butternut squash purée... excellent. The gourmet coffee is a must-try. We had a lovely time. We'll be back.

17/09/2026: A true discovery in this Bayonne pub! Thanks to Milhan and the whole team for this fabulous time! A must-visit!

18/08/2026: Excellent pub with great draft beers and a really fun happy hour! Passing through to explore Bayonne, we stopped at Katie Daly to take a breather and cool off (the air conditioning was fantastic and very welcome in this heatwave!). We loved the friendly bartenders, the beers on offer, and the perfect rock playlist 😎 It's now a must-visit for our future Bayonne holidays!
