Soon some people will judge a restaurant based on the fact they couldn't find a parking spot in the village! This restaurant has been striving to serve quality food for many years! We know it well! Go without hesitation!

11/08/2026: We are very disappointed. We called at 8:52 PM to reserve a table, and the hostess told us, "We stopped serving at 8:50 PM"... in the middle of summer.

31/05/2026: The hotel is very well located, right in the center of Evian. The little train is nearby, and the pedestrian street (Rue Nationale) is just behind it. Santa is very friendly and welcoming. The room was decent, and the breakfast was plentiful. The only downside was the slightly cramped bathroom.

11/05/2026: Véronique and the whole team gave us a wonderful welcome. They were incredibly attentive. The hotel is well located opposite the lake, right in the center and close to all amenities.

18/07/2026: The perfect dinner after a long day of mountainbiking. Also I read that the tiramisu was very good, so we tried it. And I can confirm, it's finger licking good! Perfect food closure after a great stay in Passy. Good to know, to order early, because it can take an hour. There were quite a few orders before us.

05/07/2026: The pizza from vending machine is absolutely the worst pizza I ate in my life. It had strange metallic taste probably from aluminium. I lack words to describe how bad it was.

20/07/2026: We arrived, two hungry cyclists, at 9:30 pm on a Sunday. Imagine our delight at the generous, delicious pizzas, all served in under 10 minutes! Pizza Eclair has put Thônes on the map. Simply exceptional.

19/07/2026: I have travelled extensively over more than 40 years, dining in restaurants ranging from small family-run places to Michelin three-star establishments. This is my honest review of the restaurant Le Prieuré in Megève, France. We had a wonderful lunch at this charming French bistro in the heart of Megève, right next to the church on the village square. The shaded terrace is a lovely place to enjoy a relaxed summer meal, and the staff were genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. We chose the daily set menu, which offered excellent value for money. It started with a beautifully presented smoked beet carpaccio, sliced paper-thin and wonderfully fresh and summery. The main course was a perfectly cooked pork tenderloin with a rich wine sauce and crispy baby potatoes. We also ordered the poultry with morel sauce, which was equally delicious. The chicken was of excellent quality, with a texture reminiscent of Bresse poultry, and the sauce was generous with morels, complemented by other mushrooms for extra depth of flavour. To finish, we enjoyed a creamy tiramisu topped with crunchy hazelnuts, a truly indulgent dessert. Everything was well prepared, tasty, and fairly priced, and the friendly service made the experience even more enjoyable. The only small point worth mentioning is that the main course took a little longer than expected to arrive. Other than that, it was an excellent experience, and we would happily return.

13/07/2026: A warm welcome in a typically Savoyard setting, a very pleasant terrace with the river flowing right below and large parasols to guarantee a bit of shade. A very appealing menu that makes you want to try everything! The royal fondue was excellent, and being a local, I'm quite demanding! I highly recommend this place to those who want to enjoy a proper Savoyard meal and take their time. We'll be back for a refreshing getaway! Thank you.

05/07/2026: Sunday lunch at 6 a.m. Polite but somewhat impersonal welcome and service. We ordered the daily specials with the salad/cheese buffet. Very good and reasonably priced for the location.

23/06/2026: We sat down on a whim. We had a panachée and French fries. Those fries were good!! Best fries I ever had — I am not kidding. So I decided to leave a review.

26/06/2026: We came in May, just before their holidays, so there were far fewer people, which gave us time to admire all the ancient artifacts the restaurant is full of. We were on the covered terrace, which allowed us to enjoy the cool evening air. This restaurant is a gem in terms of its decor, and that's partly why we came. For the set menu, we had the perch, a €36 menu (you'll always find perch at this price in almost any restaurant). It was really very good (too little). The ice cream for dessert was really disappointing for the price. In an establishment like this, I would have liked to have real napkins and not paper ones. As for the service, since the restaurant was far from full, everything was quick and smooth, and the servers were friendly. We'll come back in May. I can't seem to attach my photos; I'll do it on TripAdvisor.
