15/07/2026: A bistro like few others. I arrived by chance between two medical appointments and was welcomed at 11:00 AM with the option of having a coffee and settling in with my laptop. The set menu was delicious, generous, and homemade. The atmosphere was fantastic, with a mix of people at the bar and at the tables. The service was quick and efficient, allowing me to eat in under an hour. I highly recommend it; you'll receive a warm welcome and your meal will be more than enough!

Your online hours really need updating because they're completely random... the pizzeria has been closed for a while now and we haven't even been told why... What's going on?

08/07/2026: Nice place to eat. But the service leaves much to be desired; they don't ask if everything is alright, and the frozen potatoes are tasteless. The plate is a bit pricey for the quality; you're paying for the view.

07/07/2026: Lovely mountain hut on the ski slope with great views over the Mont Blanc Massif. After many a mountain climbed in summer and skied in winter, this one has to be one of if not my favourite. Open all year round with a great selection of products. Seemingly family run with people who really care about their customers. Sitting area surrounded by beautiful alpine wildflowers. Access by walking down the gravel service track for a 100m or so from the top of the Bettex. We were offered cheese from a local farm free of charge. The views are incredible - you can ask for binoculars and will be able to see all the way from Mont Blanc to Aiguille du Tour, Aiguille de Chardonnet and Aiguille Verte. If you are passing anywhere in the vicinity I would recommend a trip to Sous les Freddy.

29/06/2026: This restaurant truly deserves high praise! It's an absolute gem in Annecy, clean and tidy, conveniently located between the old town and the train station. The sushi and sashimi I ordered were made with carefully selected ingredients; the thick-cut salmon was incredibly satisfying, with perfect freshness and sweetness. The best part is the owners – they're incredibly genuine and welcoming, always proactively asking if you're full and if the food suits your taste. Don't miss it!

09/08/2026: Etape Moto, great evening! The fondue and the pela were excellent 😋 A wonderful end to the evening with Aurélie, the manager, filled with good humor, laughter, and génépi liqueur 😄 A place where the food is great and the welcome truly makes all the difference. We'll gladly be back!

06/08/2026: Very simple and vastly overpriced outside of the traditional cheese-based plates - friendly staff but very hit-and-miss - table next door asked for water 3 times during the evening without success (we gave them ours in the end) - that said, nice calm location

22/06/2026: Pros - Friendly, efficient English-speaking staff - Views from the rooms and spa were incredible - Excellent range of options at the breakfast buffet and opened at 06.30 so eat then get out for the day early - Able to use facilities of hotel on day of checkout. We were kindly allowed to use the spa and hotel showers on the afternoon after we had checked out at no additional cost. This meant we were able to run all day and freshen up before heading to the airport. A really nice touch as meant you could maximise time in Chamonix rather than wait for flight home. - Toiletries in the room were good quality (not overstocked so environmental friendly) and able to ask for items free if charge from reception - Great location close to town centre and short walk to bus stops/train station Cons - Mattress was very firm so found it quite uncomfortable (personal preference though) - No aircon: stayed in June and the room was uncomfortably hot to sleep and the road outside was a bit too noisy to leave the windows open overnight to cool things down. It was exceptionally hot weather however so likely a very occasional issue. - Limited hooks in the bedroom for coats etc - Drinks in the hotel bar were expensive - EUR12 for a 1664 Krongenbourg beer. Despite a few small cons, this hotel was absolutely fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

12/04/2026: The gîte is very well located, not far from hiking trails and situated throughout the property. Dinners and breakfasts were hearty and prepared with delicious seasonal vegetables. Furthermore, if you are hiking the TMB (Tour du Mont Blanc), this refuge is located on the route.

26/07/2026: The veal escalope was disappointing: a huge (really huge) escalope with no sauce on the plate, and a few vegetables... For 32 euros, we expected a bit more flavor and side dishes... A little disappointed. The other dishes were perhaps better.

26/07/2026: A great restaurant and definitely worth trying. I liked these dishes, but I suggest asking for the chicken to be cooked more thoroughly. However, the cheese fondue is alcohol-free, so try it! 👍 The service was excellent and fast, contrary to what I read in some reviews.
