15/07/2026: I often come here to eat with a colleague. He's the one who recommended it. Very good, inexpensive food, generous portions, and made with love. We enjoy it every time. The staff is fantastic. And they have great rum. I highly recommend it.

20/07/2026: A very good meal last night, excellent tartare and the minced steak with pepper sauce was very good, the fries were a little overcooked so hard, which is a shame, but otherwise perfect and a lovely terrace!

08/08/2026: Fantastic welcome! We hadn't booked today and there was plenty of space! Excellent food (yum, the snails!!)! Very warm welcome, very friendly staff! And a lovely bowl of water for our Chihuahua 😊 and a great view! The restaurant is also very beautiful

28/07/2026: A lovely little restaurant at the resort where we received a very warm welcome. We were a table of five and had our two large dogs with us (thank you for the water and treats!). The portions were generous, the presentation beautiful, and the food perfectly cooked. It definitely deserves 5 stars. Thank you again for the wonderful meal.

27/07/2026: A very pleasant stop at the Grizzli in Châtel for a drink and an aperitif in the early evening. The cheese board was delicious! The welcome was perfect, the staff attentive, and the owner's smile and helpfulness were very pleasant! We will be back!

07/03/2026: A solid lower-cost, unpretentious option with all the amenities and basic things you would need to support a great ski trip in Chamonix. The bus stops steps from the hotel taking you to all the surrounding ski resorts and downtown chamonix for transfer to the airport or the bus to Italy, Valle Blanche, etc. The staff are great and make sure you have everything you need, and are willing to keep your ski bags, boots, gear, etc stored in the boot room downstairs while you wait for your next travel plans. There is WiFi that works well from the room and from the lounge downstairs if you need to hop on work calls and get work done. I had no connection issues. Les Praz is a good location (and closer) to the resorts up the valley such as Le Flegere, Grands Montets, and Le Tour. 20 minute walk to downtown Chamonix on a lovely river-side path.

06/07/2026: I only ate, I didn't sleep. But the welcome was warm. Homemade food with a superb terrace. The only downside is parking in Bonneville, which is either a blue zone or paid parking lot, and the town is constantly under construction.

01/08/2026: This brasserie is very well located with a super friendly team. I was just passing through on vacation and went back four times. Their ice cream is delicious, and if you eat outside by the church, you'll have a lovely view of the mountains between the church and another building—very pretty and relaxing.

07/08/2026: A very decent brasserie. The dishes are simple and reasonably priced, especially compared to other, much more expensive restaurants. The terrace is lovely, allowing children to play under the village market hall. Good cocktails. A bonus: the waitstaff is very energetic, friendly, and always smiling.

25/07/2026: A very good experience at this restaurant! We had the daily special at lunchtime and it was exactly as described. The value for money is excellent, with a very reasonable price. The portions are generous and the dishes are delicious, prepared with care.

24/07/2026: Invited by the parents of BAAR Rugby Annecy to thank me for a wonderful year of coaching, we discovered this restaurant and what a delightful surprise! I savored the hanger steak with Café de Paris sauce: perfectly cooked meat, lightly grilled on the outside and rare on the inside, accompanied by a delicious sauce, homemade fries, and a salad made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. My wife also thoroughly enjoyed her steak tartare. We finished with two homemade desserts from the pastry chef, simply excellent. A huge thank you to the entire team for their warm welcome. The service was impeccable, with smiling, attentive, and highly professional waiters. A truly wonderful place that we wholeheartedly recommend!

04/08/2026: I was very disappointed with my lunch at Brasserie du Général in Thonon. I ordered stuffed tomatoes with rice, but the quality was truly mediocre, tasteless, and far below what one would expect from a brasserie. The service was particularly sluggish, lacking any energy, and the welcome was cold and unfriendly. It's clear that the customer isn't a priority. A disappointing experience from start to finish. I won't be returning and I don't recommend this establishment.
