The setting is undeniably pleasant and photogenic, ideal for lunch or dinner by the sea with a relaxed atmosphere and live music in the evening. Service can be disorganized at times depending on the time of day or how busy it is, and the price is a bit too high. In short, La Vela offers a good setting and a lovely seaside experience, with dishes that can be very good or disappointing depending on the service and the time of day. It's a good choice for enjoying the scenery and a meal on the terrace, keeping in mind that service and culinary consistency can vary, especially during the summer months.

12/02/2026: I'm outraged to read some of the comments about this restaurant. Have you lost your minds or what? I've been coming to this restaurant for over 18 years, the food is so good, it feels like home... there have been two changes of ownership and you'd never have noticed, because in the kitchen nothing has changed, always just as good, just as generous, and the welcome has remained so warm... since Marine and her husband took over, it's even better, there's a younger generation, with Laure always serving us with a smile, just like Marine. So for those who feel entitled to write such awful things, we don't need your opinions, just go eat somewhere else because this establishment is far too good for you... Thank you to the whole team. See you tomorrow night!!!!

13/02/2026: I should clarify that I only stopped there to have a beer, not to eat, since the establishment also serves as a bar. I was sorely mistaken, as they were selling cheap beer at exorbitant prices (€4 for 25cl). When I asked what brand it was, the man who seemed to be the owner replied that the brand doesn't mean anything, that there are thousands of different beers, and that they're all more or less the same. What can you say to such blatant dishonesty?

27/02/2026: We received a very warm welcome. The bedding was excellent. The hotel itself was perfect. However, we were disappointed by the food. The beurre blanc sauce served with the fish was nothing like a real beurre blanc. The aligot lacked garlic and warmth.

15/12/2025: Good kebab. The extra charge for feta was too high (€1.50!). A nice touch is that you can now order red cabbage as a side dish; thank you for taking my previous review into account, I've raised the rating. The missing star is for the not-so-good, pre-packaged fries. At €2 a portion, it would be nice if they were homemade. And the salad should be fresh, not bagged.

22/11/2025: This is the third time I've been there, and the bread has been disgustingly folded every which way. I even got a kebab for my dad and me this week, and it was really bad. This is the first time I've ever left a review; go check out the competition.

05/03/2026: Lunch for two was unfortunately a very long experience… even though we were the first to arrive and there were only four tables for two in total. We chose our dishes in a minute but had to call the waiter to order, ask for a carafe of water, and then ask again for our main courses and desserts. The chicken burger was unfortunately no tastier than McDonald's; a little homemade sauce would really make a difference. The mussels and fries were okay. In short, very slow service for lunch.

04/01/2026: The waiter asks every two minutes if he can clear our plates; it's very unpleasant. He also asks for our ages without even knowing why.

15/02/2026: A real disappointment! I invited my girlfriend for Valentine's Day weekend, and unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the standards of a 5-star establishment (having stayed in several 5-star hotels). - Spa: The jacuzzi had cushions that were coming loose, with exposed nails that could cause injury. The sauna, meanwhile, wasn't working... - Service: The constant coming and going of staff running in the corridors between the kitchen and the various adjoining rooms made it impossible to enjoy a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Furthermore, we waited almost 20 long minutes to return the keys at check-out. There was only one person at reception even though the hotel was full... - Breakfast: You have to flag down an employee just to get your order taken. - Room: The view was of electrical wires, which definitely lacks charm for a romantic getaway. The hotel is undeniably beautiful, but the service falls short of the standards expected of a 5-star establishment. At this price point, impeccable service is essential (although we must commend the professionalism of the restaurant manager, who was excellent). I do not recommend this hotel.

01/02/2026: The property is absolutely beautiful — a charming Provençal house surrounded by peaceful greenery, with a terrace that invites you to slow down and simply enjoy the moment. Breakfast was truly a pleasure: great variety, high-quality ingredients, and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere across the hotel feels warm yet elegant, and the service deserves special mention. The team is attentive without being intrusive — friendly, professional, and naturally welcoming. One of the highlights of the stay is the restaurant led by Mathias Dandine. The cuisine is exceptional, and knowing that many ingredients come directly from the hotel’s own vegetable garden makes the experience feel even more authentic and special. Overall, this is a place with real character — beautiful surroundings, outstanding food, and a team that makes you feel genuinely cared for. We would gladly come back.

18/09/2025: Super good meal On the other hand, the young waiter was unhelpful and unfriendly. He looked down on customers. I don't recommend being served by this young man who is more than a bit of a jerk.
