Sushi Kyo Annemasse

Annemasse
01/02/2026: We had been regular customers at this restaurant for a long time, so we decided to dine in with some friends. There were seven of us, and the service was very disappointing: the staff weren't smiling, they were visibly grumpy, and the cutlery, napkins, etc., were simply placed at the end of the table, leaving us to distribute them ourselves. One of my friends, who doesn't eat meat, ordered shrimp noodles. Unfortunately, we found meat in her dish. It's also worth noting that the restaurant was practically empty for a Saturday night. When it came time to pay the bill—nearly €150—we simply asked if it would be possible to have some sake, a fairly common courtesy gesture in Asian restaurants for large orders. The waitress asked the owner, who was sitting right next to us. He refused with a shake of his head, without even looking at us or speaking to us, displaying a very unpleasant attitude. There was no goodbye when we left. If customers are treated this way, it's no wonder they don't come back. The least they could do is be polite and offer a welcoming atmosphere, which was clearly lacking: the atmosphere was cold and oppressive. It's a shame, because we enjoyed some of the takeout dishes, especially the sushi (although the noodles tasted different from one order to the next). We won't be returning, nor will we be ordering again. We felt uncomfortable from beginning to end, with absolutely no consideration for the customer, which makes us not want to come back at all.
10/12/2025: Excellent! I'll be back very, very often. It's delicious, beautiful, and enjoyable. Thank you!

O Sole Mio

Annemasse
27/02/2026: a restaurant that is anything but Italian
12/02/2026: Magnificent pizza, thin, crispy crust, cooked in a wood-fired oven! Chicken escalopes were the same! They could use a wider variety of non-alcoholic drinks, perhaps in a neutral-colored refrigerator to encourage purchases. Excellent service, friendly and welcoming staff! Highly recommended!

Le Regann Brasserie

Annecy
28/06/2025: What a miserable attitude. Wanted a quick beer because it was 33 degrees and we were hot and tired. We were sent to the non dining tables (fair enough) except the only ones free were in the full heat of the sun. So we asked if we could have our drinks in a shaded area. No. Well can you please put up the umbrellas in the drinking area. No. They are broken. Then we noticed that there were people drinking right where we were talking, in the shade. They overheard and said we’re leaving, have our table. No you can’t said the waiter. They are for diners. Yet it was barely past 6pm and there were no diners. We said we’d be 10 minutes. Nope. Manager’s rule. This place will never see our custom and we cannot recommend it at all. Who knows, we may have enjoyed our drinks and stayed for dinner. Too many other places that have good service and treat people with kindness. Avoid this place.
21/06/2025: The service is bad, a lot of noise and the prices are way too expensive, there are better addresses in Annecy!! Never again

Indigo Bar Restaurant

Les Gets
04/03/2026: I came solely for the spa, and overall, the experience was satisfactory. The spa is open from 3 pm, and reservations are required: €20 for 1 hour. The welcome was excellent; upon arrival, the hostess provided a bathrobe, towel, and slippers. There aren't proper changing rooms, but rather a cabin specifically for massages. Access to a whirlpool, sauna, and steam room is available. Unfortunately, not all the jets in the whirlpool were working, and the steam room wasn't hot enough. Relaxing music would have been a nice touch.
26/02/2026: Had the best time here! As a beginner skier this hotel & location was great. Hotel was in a great spot, clean rooms - had everything you really needed. Loved the fur doors! The bar is a great spot to chill in the evening with everyone, very casual and a homely feel. Breakfast was always so delicious, have great choices on menu. The spa offered all the basic amenities and was perfectly fine, but a modern update would make the experience better. All the staff were so lovely & helpful on every occasion. So handy having a ski room within the hotel & we found the rental equipment great & got on well with everything. The hotel is located a short walking distance to the gondola which is super handy. Such a great trip! Would definitely recommend this hotel as had a very family friendly feel! Thanks for a great stay :)

La Belle Epoque

Annecy
15/03/2026: Pleasant setting, possibly with a terrace overlooking the lake. The service is attentive and the food is very good at an affordable price for the city.
04/03/2026: This little brasserie is an excellent find. Not only is the food delicious—the menu is very appealing, the daily specials are generous, varied, and fresh—but the welcome is also incredibly warm. The couple who run it are amazingly friendly and kind, always with a kind word or a thoughtful touch! The establishment is very clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend this place; be sure to make a reservation.

24/12/2025: We came to buy 3 mini Yule logs for Christmas. Excellent find, they were extremely good and delicate!! (2 chocolate and 1 raspberry) However, the service was very poor from the waitress who seemed to get annoyed quickly when we asked her to repeat herself…
21/10/2025: Thank you for this meal. Laurie is smiling, charming, and radiant. She made this moment even more enjoyable. Thank you ☺️

Le Tarot

Amancy
21/02/2026: Not friendly at all, deplorable service. The steak and fries were overcooked when I ordered rare and of appalling quality, plus the undercooked frozen fries. All of this was not worth €25. The waitress was not pleasant at all.
21/02/2026: Having undergone gastric bypass surgery, I can't eat large portions. So I asked if it was possible to order a children's menu. I was told no, but since the age was indicated on the menu, I could understand. However, I was then told that I should "treat myself" and that I wasn't going to eat children's nuggets… a very inappropriate remark. I then asked for a salad starter, which was also refused on the grounds that "a starter is a starter." When I indicated that in that case I wouldn't order anything, I was told that they didn't do that because the restaurant had turned people away. When I finally said that I'd rather leave, they eventually agreed to serve me the salad but told me I was "making a fuss." As for the meal itself, the quality was disappointing: the meat wasn't cooked properly, it was fatty, and the value for money was disappointing. The prices are far too high for the quality offered. I strongly advise against this establishment. My experience was very disappointing, both in terms of the service and the food. A little understanding and consideration would have been appreciated.

Omeletterie La Poele

Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
13/03/2026: Great restaurant with a warm, cozy vibe. We had the fondue and it was absolutely fantastic — a real experience on its own. Melted cheese with pieces of bread, plus sides like prosciutto, vegetables, and potatoes. Service was quick and friendly.
11/03/2026: A glass of wine for €8.50 that was undrinkable. The omelets were really not good. A shame for an omelet shop because the rest of the menu looks quite decent!

07/12/2025: Very, very good pizza and a very warm welcome. I will definitely come back and I will recommend you to everyone I know without any problem 😉. Once a soldier, always a soldier ❤️
24/10/2025: I don't know if we can call it a pizza... no taste, the merguez sausages look like dog sausages, sorry but that's excessive, 15 bucks for the pizza, half in the trash, thank you forever

Les Tables Du Chef

Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
22/12/2025: A SHAME — RUN AWAY! We chose Les Tables de Philippe because of its advertised "gastronomic" positioning, linked to Les Chalets de Philippe. The gap between the promise and the reality is unfortunately obvious. We came via the Gourmet Passport, which has already allowed us to discover some excellent gastronomic establishments, including some at reduced rates. The price paid therefore has no bearing on the standards or the legitimacy of our opinion. We were informed at the beginning of the meal that the current Italian chef had only arrived a few days or weeks prior. This information is important because it means that older photos and reviews visible on Google do not necessarily reflect what is offered today. The menu offered during our visit was as follows: – beef carpaccio, – pumpkin risotto with sausage pieces, – vitello tonnato, accompanied by raw vegetables (a simple bowl of salad combining lettuce and a little red cabbage), – aged, but very young, cheeses, – followed by a moist chocolate cake with yogurt sauce. Overall, it's very classic Italian cuisine: recipes lacking any particular creativity, predictable flavors, basic textures, and a presentation without any noticeable effort. It's acceptable, but unremarkable, and far from the claimed gastronomic level. The service was also subpar. One of the waiters spoke neither French nor English, only Italian, making any interaction difficult. His service was very abrupt, with no apparent etiquette. A second waiter was more conventional, pleasant, but offered nothing of value. No presentation of the dishes was offered: the plates were simply placed on the table, and the staff immediately withdrew. During our conversation with the owner, he explained that "this isn't French gastronomy, but haute Italian cuisine," which he claimed was the work of a chef trained at one of Capri's finest schools. He also implied that, as holders of the Gourmet Passport, our comments were of little consequence and that the restaurant would always be full anyway. However, when we visited, the restaurant was far from full, which raises questions about the consistency of his claims. The conversation took place in a tone that was not conducive to discussion and offered no real opportunity for self-reflection, further exacerbating our disappointment. We didn't take any photos—or rather, we didn't even consider it—as the presentation of the dishes was so poor. To get an idea, simply search for the dishes listed above on Google and look at the first corresponding Google Images result. Conclusion: If you're looking for a truly exceptional gastronomic experience, both in terms of food and service, this isn't the place for you. However, if you're looking for classic, decent, but nothing more, dishes, then this is the right place for you.
21/12/2025: We would like to share our experience regarding our dinner at Les Tables de Philippe in Chamonix. We had booked a six-course tasting menu for €95. Upon arrival, we were informed of a change of chef, which we accepted without difficulty. However, a new five-course menu was offered in its place, at the same price. Presented as a gourmet Italian menu, it unfortunately proved very disappointing. While the carpaccio was acceptable, it was rather simple. The next course, a pumpkin and sausage risotto, lacked any real finesse. The vitello tonnato was the most disappointing element: meat drowning in sauce, accompanied by a simple bowl of salad, whereas the menu advertised raw vegetables. As I don't eat raw vegetables, I asked for an alternative and was served mini-quiches that seemed to have been frozen, which is hardly acceptable in a restaurant claiming to be gourmet. The cheeses were bland, and the dessert—a chocolate cake with a yogurt sauce—was something you'd expect from a brasserie. Considering the price of the menu, it was a complete disappointment. Furthermore, the service was anything but gourmet. We should point out that we had the Gourmet Passport, and therefore only one of the two menus was charged. However, our complaint is not at all related to the amount paid, but rather to the quality of the meal, which fell far short of the standards expected of a gourmet menu. Finally, when we tried to express our disappointment to the owner, he was dismissive, arguing that having the Gourmet Passport didn't give us the right to complain. A regrettable and unprofessional reaction that only exacerbated our poor experience.

La Cascade

La Clusaz
24/08/2025: There were four of us, including a child. A special menu was adapted for the 3-year-old, including three appetizers and pancakes. For dessert, there were ice creams and crepes. The service was fast and the food was excellent. Thank you, we had a great time.
12/08/2025: Delicious pancakes, local and more traditional toppings, in very good quantity. Fast and friendly service. Good address!
