Le Chesery
Chatel
29/03/2026: Unpretentious, simple, and very good food. I came to celebrate my birthday with my best friend during the summer season last year, and the welcome was fantastic. I have excellent memories of it, and the day I return to Châtel, whether on vacation or for work, I will be delighted to eat there again with loved ones. Because yes, the cuisine is simple and regional, and the staff and owners are top-notch, always smiling, kind, and professional. Thank you again, and see you very soon!
21/03/2026: Avoid at all costs! Just look at the reviews. We were seated on the terrace and waited 15 minutes only to be literally thrown out by the owner because it was time for table service. Why even seat us then? We understand the Google rating!
And he's a liar, given the response: no complete sign, the waitress clearly told us to be seated when she was coming, and the replies to every negative review speak volumes about the kind of person the manager is.

la friandine
Annemasse
27/06/2025: A very bad experience after three months of coming every Thursday and Friday during my night shift to get a coffee and a pain au chocolat. After my payment was refused, he wished me a good day when I politely asked if I could come back the next day to give him the missing €4. Knowing the coffee will end up in the bin, I find this disappointing and unprofessional…disappointed
21/05/2025: Very good experience, excellent atmosphere

14/03/2026: Went in to order five different Pizzas about 6-30pm for take-away. Very helpful and friendly. All ready in a short amount of time. All very tasty with a good amount of toppings.
06/03/2026: Always a warm welcome with great pizzas and a friendly atmosphere. Thank you!

Le Regann Brasserie
Annecy
28/06/2025: What a miserable attitude. Wanted a quick beer because it was 33 degrees and we were hot and tired. We were sent to the non dining tables (fair enough) except the only ones free were in the full heat of the sun. So we asked if we could have our drinks in a shaded area. No. Well can you please put up the umbrellas in the drinking area. No. They are broken. Then we noticed that there were people drinking right where we were talking, in the shade. They overheard and said we’re leaving, have our table. No you can’t said the waiter. They are for diners. Yet it was barely past 6pm and there were no diners. We said we’d be 10 minutes. Nope. Manager’s rule. This place will never see our custom and we cannot recommend it at all.
Who knows, we may have enjoyed our drinks and stayed for dinner.
Too many other places that have good service and treat people with kindness.
Avoid this place.
21/06/2025: The service is bad, a lot of noise and the prices are way too expensive, there are better addresses in Annecy!! Never again

Pizza Pepone
Cran-Gevrier
22/02/2026: A quick stop in town led us to this pizzeria. There were seven of us, and we were able to eat in. The welcome was fantastic, the staff very friendly and smiling, the atmosphere great, and the organization was excellent—the pizzas kept coming and going. Everything was delicious and delicious! Thank you to all three of you for providing such great service. I'm sure that with a larger dining area, you could do just as well.
I highly recommend Pizza Pepone! 😉
20/01/2026: Honestly, one of the best pizzerias in Annecy.
The staff is amazing! 👌🏼 The portions are perfect for the price, no complaints!
I recommend it 1000%!
Thanks again for a wonderful experience!

Restaurant Le Mystic
Combloux
03/09/2025: Arriving at 8:30 PM without a reservation, we were greeted by the manager who informed us that there was only one dish available (fondue, and only served outside). I should point out that there were only two people in the restaurant! Having come from another region for a sporting event, I strongly advise against going there!

Gets Pizza
Les Gets
19/02/2026: Our weekly rendezvous!
Passing through for a great week of skiing in Les Gets, we were recommended Barby on our very first night… Okay, now we just call it Barby, since we spent the whole week there 😅
Our livers were aching, our right arm was aching from playing darts non-stop, and our left arm from raising so many glasses…
In short, everything you could want in a bar:
no fuss, a team that recognizes you the moment you walk in, efficient and friendly.
Thanks guys, we had a great time!
So next year, it's already decided:
it'll be Barby… so Les Gets 😉
PS: See you tonight… we're hitting the road again tomorrow.
The Burgundians / Côté Rhum.
11/02/2026: I enjoy coming back for a drink, but stop filling our glasses with ice! I don't come here to drink ice-cold water, I come to enjoy what I order!

O Sole Mio
Annemasse
02/05/2026: The pizzas are delicious, generously topped, and served with a big smile by the owner... I highly recommend them! 😀👍
18/04/2026: Even though the waitress was unwell and absent that evening, the owner did a great job. He was very friendly and had a good atmosphere. Our only regret is not being able to come back for pizza. We'll definitely be back.

Le Tarot
Amancy
18/04/2026: Thank you for the warm welcome.
The perch fillets were very good.
21/02/2026: Having undergone gastric bypass surgery, I can't eat large portions. So I asked if it was possible to order a children's menu. I was told no, but since the age was indicated on the menu, I could understand.
However, I was then told that I should "treat myself" and that I wasn't going to eat children's nuggets… a very inappropriate remark.
I then asked for a salad starter, which was also refused on the grounds that "a starter is a starter."
When I indicated that in that case I wouldn't order anything, I was told that they didn't do that because the restaurant had turned people away. When I finally said that I'd rather leave, they eventually agreed to serve me the salad but told me I was "making a fuss."
As for the meal itself, the quality was disappointing: the meat wasn't cooked properly, it was fatty, and the value for money was disappointing. The prices are far too high for the quality offered.
I strongly advise against this establishment. My experience was very disappointing, both in terms of the service and the food. A little understanding and consideration would have been appreciated.

La Boule de Neige
Morzine
10/04/2026: A fantastic experience at La Boule de Neige in Avoriaz! ❄️🍽️ We ate very well; the dishes were delicious and generously portioned. The welcome was warm and the atmosphere truly pleasant. A great place to eat in the resort; we highly recommend it!
06/04/2026: A decent enough dinner, but with a lot of processed ingredients.
We ordered two pizzas to take away the next day.
It was before 7 pm, and they managed to make a mistake and give us a Margherita instead of an Italian pizza…
The pizzas were pretty good! But…
The end of the season is clearly tough.
It's a shame, the staff are quite friendly.
Edit: Second attempt at ordering pizzas. No more pizzas available after 6 pm on Easter Sunday.
This is a typical tourist trap. Avoid it if you can.

Restaurant Le Roselet
Duingt
13/04/2026: A magnificent place, I highly recommend it. The staff were incredibly attentive, the restaurant delicious, the view and setting exceptional; we will gladly return.
10/04/2026: The rooms are impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, and feature balconies with truly breathtaking views.
The location also offers some nice conveniences—cycle hire is just a four-minute walk away, making it easy to explore the area or go for a run, and there’s a boulangerie only two minutes away, perfect for fresh pastries and coffee.
However, this is not a budget hotel, and I would have expected basic amenities such as a kettle and complimentary tea or coffee sachets. Toiletries were also not provided, which was disappointing. Additionally, the customer service could benefit from further improvement and refinement.

Au Coeur de Megève
Megeve
07/04/2026: The rooms lack privacy like the window is opened to a street into the downtown and you have no shutters or blackouts. This is fine if the room had air conditioning however, you have to ask for a mobile air conditioner brought into the room or you have to sleep with an open window that lets flies and people eyesight while you’re asleep.
Second thing is the place does not offer a parking spot for you car. In fact they offer you a card for parking in a casino nearby and it will cost €30 per night. For Muslim people, the toilet seat does not have water floss. One last thing is the breakfast. It does not have a variety of food however the place is tidy, and the staff is very welcoming and friendly.
29/03/2026: Hello!
Just a quick note to say that my best friend and I were thrilled to spend a weekend at this magnificent hotel! The welcome was incredibly warm, the room was very cozy, and the breakfast was amazing, especially the brownies! The hotel's location is perfect; we were able to take many walks around Megève, both in the morning before hitting the slopes and in the evening before going to bed. There's also a superb view of the mountains, and the hotel lounge is right next to a small section of the Rhône River.
We highly recommend this hotel! You'll feel right at home.
The only slight drawback is that we were offered the option of a late checkout but told it was absolutely not possible. This paragraph should be changed to avoid any future misunderstandings.

Les Tables Du Chef
Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
22/12/2025: A SHAME — RUN AWAY!
We chose Les Tables de Philippe because of its advertised "gastronomic" positioning, linked to Les Chalets de Philippe. The gap between the promise and the reality is unfortunately obvious.
We came via the Gourmet Passport, which has already allowed us to discover some excellent gastronomic establishments, including some at reduced rates. The price paid therefore has no bearing on the standards or the legitimacy of our opinion.
We were informed at the beginning of the meal that the current Italian chef had only arrived a few days or weeks prior. This information is important because it means that older photos and reviews visible on Google do not necessarily reflect what is offered today.
The menu offered during our visit was as follows:
– beef carpaccio,
– pumpkin risotto with sausage pieces,
– vitello tonnato, accompanied by raw vegetables (a simple bowl of salad combining lettuce and a little red cabbage),
– aged, but very young, cheeses,
– followed by a moist chocolate cake with yogurt sauce.
Overall, it's very classic Italian cuisine: recipes lacking any particular creativity, predictable flavors, basic textures, and a presentation without any noticeable effort. It's acceptable, but unremarkable, and far from the claimed gastronomic level.
The service was also subpar. One of the waiters spoke neither French nor English, only Italian, making any interaction difficult. His service was very abrupt, with no apparent etiquette. A second waiter was more conventional, pleasant, but offered nothing of value. No presentation of the dishes was offered: the plates were simply placed on the table, and the staff immediately withdrew.
During our conversation with the owner, he explained that "this isn't French gastronomy, but haute Italian cuisine," which he claimed was the work of a chef trained at one of Capri's finest schools. He also implied that, as holders of the Gourmet Passport, our comments were of little consequence and that the restaurant would always be full anyway. However, when we visited, the restaurant was far from full, which raises questions about the consistency of his claims.
The conversation took place in a tone that was not conducive to discussion and offered no real opportunity for self-reflection, further exacerbating our disappointment.
We didn't take any photos—or rather, we didn't even consider it—as the presentation of the dishes was so poor. To get an idea, simply search for the dishes listed above on Google and look at the first corresponding Google Images result.
Conclusion:
If you're looking for a truly exceptional gastronomic experience, both in terms of food and service, this isn't the place for you. However, if you're looking for classic, decent, but nothing more, dishes, then this is the right place for you.
21/12/2025: We would like to share our experience regarding our dinner at Les Tables de Philippe in Chamonix. We had booked a six-course tasting menu for €95. Upon arrival, we were informed of a change of chef, which we accepted without difficulty. However, a new five-course menu was offered in its place, at the same price.
Presented as a gourmet Italian menu, it unfortunately proved very disappointing. While the carpaccio was acceptable, it was rather simple. The next course, a pumpkin and sausage risotto, lacked any real finesse. The vitello tonnato was the most disappointing element: meat drowning in sauce, accompanied by a simple bowl of salad, whereas the menu advertised raw vegetables. As I don't eat raw vegetables, I asked for an alternative and was served mini-quiches that seemed to have been frozen, which is hardly acceptable in a restaurant claiming to be gourmet.
The cheeses were bland, and the dessert—a chocolate cake with a yogurt sauce—was something you'd expect from a brasserie. Considering the price of the menu, it was a complete disappointment.
Furthermore, the service was anything but gourmet.
We should point out that we had the Gourmet Passport, and therefore only one of the two menus was charged. However, our complaint is not at all related to the amount paid, but rather to the quality of the meal, which fell far short of the standards expected of a gourmet menu.
Finally, when we tried to express our disappointment to the owner, he was dismissive, arguing that having the Gourmet Passport didn't give us the right to complain. A regrettable and unprofessional reaction that only exacerbated our poor experience.
