24/05/2026: We had a fantastic time at this crêperie. It's the only restaurant open out of season. Everything was perfect! The owner is radiant and full of energy. The crêpes and fondue are incredible, and the setting is ideal. We'll definitely be back soon to enjoy some Pontarlier anise liqueur here! 😁😁

24/05/2026: A wonderful time at La Tanne aux Marmottes! ❤️ A magnificent setting in the alpine pastures, a warm atmosphere, and above all, a radiant, dynamic, and very welcoming owner. We had a fantastic meal: excellent crepes, a delicious fondue, and a complimentary digestif that was much appreciated 👍 A huge thank you also for being open, as it was the only alpine chalet open in the area during this sunny Pentecost weekend… quite incredible for a resort like Châtel. A truly wonderful place that we will gladly return to! 😊 And they even have Pontarlier wine! 😂

01/08/2026: We received a very warm welcome with smiles. Without a reservation, our party of five was given a table. The service was quick despite the crowd, and the dishes were generous and delicious.

25/07/2026: We came for a duo of Arctic char and fera (a type of whitefish) and were drawn to this restaurant. While the dish was tasty, the real problem lay elsewhere: poor timing, terrible service, no follow-up on orders, and a complete lack of friendliness, not to mention the absence of a dedicated server for any particular section. A mediocre experience from start to finish. What's more, we barely had time to finish our aperitifs before the hot main course was thrust in front of us! Not to mention the lack of bread for the sauce (while all the other tables received it), and our wine and water order was forgotten, but "miraculously" remained on the final bill (which I had corrected). The dessert menu was presented, and then we conveniently forgot about our status as customers, despite our patience. Tired of waiting in the face of such nonchalance, after a long while, we cut our meal short and had dessert elsewhere. What a shame!

28/02/2026: We stayed at the Refuge du Tornieux in Sallanches for a weekend, including one night and dinner. We were so impressed that we also had lunch there the next day and tried the toboggan run! Our experience was more than positive from beginning to end! We hiked up the ungroomed trail, which was magnificent and very well marked! The comments about it are quite amusing; frankly, it only took a little common sense to distinguish between a groomed trail and a snowshoe trail. I don't understand some of the comments about it: everything was clearly marked (taking the time to read the signs can be helpful...) and we had no trouble finding our way; you just need a little common sense. 😬 As for the refuge itself: we absolutely loved it! The staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and truly delightful. We came with our little dog 🐶 who was warmly welcomed, which was a real bonus for us. As for the food, we ate exceptionally well, both in the evening and at lunchtime the following day. The dishes were delicious and generous. In short: everything went wonderfully, it was fantastic! We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!!

19/07/2026: I had the set lunch menu today, and to be honest, the food and the setting were very nice. The service was average. But the portions were very small for the set menu. Other dishes on the menu looked more generous. However, the bread wasn't good, and when I ordered ice cream instead of the dessert of the day, I only got one scoop, not two 😅

19/07/2026: Perfect. Nothing to add. Top-notch cuisine and impeccable service. We were 26 at the table for a birthday celebration on July 11, 2026. We had drinks on the terrace, which had a private area just for us. For the meal, the tables were perfectly arranged, and the food was excellent. Thank you to the chef and thank you to the owner. 15/07/2026: We had a wonderful time at the restaurant and on the superb terrace, perfectly positioned to watch the sunset. The storefront isn't particularly inviting, but it's well worth going in: the welcome is warm and the owner is fantastic. He takes his time with his customers, which is very pleasant! The food was excellent, and while the prices are a bit high, they're still reasonable for the Chablais region. After all, our restaurateurs need to make a living! We'll definitely be back!

25/07/2026: It was already very busy in May, especially with the long weekends. We managed to get a table for two, and we weren't disappointed. The price was reasonable and the food was very good. Special mention goes to the steak tartare, which was absolutely delicious.

26/07/2026: The food was decent, but the atmosphere lacked comfort. A meal without any major flaws, but nothing special either, imposed as a set menu (starter, main course, dessert!!??). The real problem lay in the service and the setting: crammed 20 people into a small adjoining room of about 20 square meters, the ambiance was more like a noisy canteen than a restaurant. A shame!

26/07/2026: We went there on Saturday, July 25th, and we were very disappointed. The food itself was very good, though. But in the middle of July, it was impossible to eat outside except for the owner's friends. Then, the waitress was a huge negative point for the restaurant and our experience. First of all, she didn't come to our table even once to ask if anything was missing or if everything was alright. We ordered a raclette for four, but we had to wait because she wouldn't let us cook it on two machines. Then we had to get up four times for water?! A table costing over €300 is really disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber. Very, very disappointed.

26/07/2026: As a regular customer, I came last night (Saturday, July 25th). The food was very good, no complaints there, a real treat. However, the service definitely needs improvement. The waitress was not at all pleasant; her basic customer service skills, including politeness and a smile, need to be reviewed. Furthermore, the raclette machines were stored behind our table, which resulted in constant back-and-forth trips by the servers. We ordered two raclettes for two people (four people total). We did have two raclette machines on our table, but the waitress only used one, claiming it was the only way to do it. This is the first time I've ever heard of such a thing! We waited so long for a carafe of water that we had to get up ourselves, and this happened several times. For the price we paid, I expected more consideration and not to be treated like a walking wallet. No after-dinner drink was offered, nor were we asked if we enjoyed our meal, which was a shame...

09/08/2026: Hi, regarding the brasserie... I sat down at a table and waited 15 minutes, but no one came. There were empty glasses on the table, so I got up to see what was going on, and they told me they don't serve at the table. I find that appalling; we pay for service and then we're exploited. I should have taken the empty glasses back to the bar at the same time...

09/08/2026: This restaurant/brasserie is unacceptable. We waited for 20 minutes and no one came to take our order. They told us they weren't serving and that we had to go pick up our order ourselves. On top of that, dirty glasses on our table were NEVER washed or cleared. I strongly advise against going to this place...
