17/03/2024: Very nice experience today at the Palais des Glaces in Annecy! I highly recommend it, for tasting ice cream and waffles. The ice creams are made in-house (manufacturing lab visible) and the waffles are also made in-house and cooked before our eyes 👀 with homemade melted chocolate as well. One of the best waffles I have ever eaten! Thank you sir !

28/03/2024: We really enjoyed this restaurant! Having eaten a champagne/morel fondue the day before at Fifine, we unfortunately did not taste the Septimiche de la Mezzanine with the pain-caquelon. But their pierrade made from local meat was excellent, as were the little homemade sauces. And to finish off I had the profiterole for dessert which is a huge éclair made with vanilla ice cream and hot chocolate… a killer too. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The decor is very mountain-style and the mirror walls give a very successful impression of space. I recommend it!

04/04/2024: Magnificent place, we had reserved for the indoor room because there was no more room in the one with a view of the lake but on our arrival, surprise, we were able to sit on the terrace with a view of the lake and the panorama! (As a bonus, blankets to cover yourself when the sun is hidden) Regarding the service, nothing to complain about, very pleasant and attentive team. Top dishes, very good value for money. In short, a very nice discovery! Thanks to the team for the welcome!

01/04/2024: Good food but service not up to par. First the good news. We tested the Confins des Sens this Easter Monday with a unique and special lunch menu for €75. The results are at the level of expectations: good classic cuisine with a zest of creativity (very first experience of the Bescoin Savoyard brioche accompanying the very good foie gras, veal cooked at low temperature tasty and particularly tender, classic but tasty chocolate dessert, menu of rich and interesting wines...). So on the kitchen side, great performances despite some slightly bland flavors (the arctic char starter) and the somewhat modest portions (but that's normal for a tasting meal with two starters, two main courses and two desserts!) . Not so good news now. Decoration ordinary and without any particular charm: the floor in large red terracotta tiles and the summer terrace in slabs of washed gravel look cheap, we don't really know if we are in a restaurant that wants to be gourmet/sophisticated, or a "restaurant for friends” without fuss. Positioning to be clarified. The service, however, is below our expectations: the two people in charge are not unpleasant, just not attentive to details: if the arrangement of the table does not suit you, you are told "do as you wish" and we leaves you to fend for yourself; they seem to be watching your plate to clear it within 30 seconds of finishing it; we practice a zest of familiarity ("are you from the area?" or, when the bottle of wine is finished, "well! that's done!), we don't know the detailed content of the menu: to our question about what the "bescoin" is that we didn't know: "I don't know, I'm going to find out"; we open the box of tea bags for your neighbor 5cm from your face; we lie down almost on the table in front of you to pick up an object placed on the opposite side, etc. A little training for service staff seems essential to take a step forward...
