09/01/2026: Wonderful, helpful and committed staff elevates the experience. Cakes and other bakes are made to perfection and our favourites included raspberries macaroons. Neither cake we tried would score less than excellent. Definitely recommend.

16/12/2024: Hello I ordered 1 cheese 1 mac bacon and the new Mac extreme 2 steak I was at the drive-thru when I got home I discovered 1 sandwich with egg and bacon, I didn't even know that one existed 😅 and not good! The extreme mc then in the ad we see it dripping which makes you want the result 2 very dry steak 1 the non-existent sauce very very very disappointed 😤 and the little cheese the only nothing to say 1 value out of 👍 if it is necessary that I check my order at the drive-thru, what's the point of going there to save time and there were only 4 cars, it wasn't a rush 😡

23/08/2025: Commercial gesture 0! A wasp fell into my glass of Monaco. The bartender scooped it out with a spoon that came out of nowhere and said, "Here you go." I asked him if it was possible to have another one. He said yes, but that I would have to pay him again. Thank you, sir.

22/12/2025: I've been going to this restaurant since it opened. It's clean, and the food is good. The buffet varies depending on whether it's lunch, dinner, or the weekend, and the price varies accordingly. At the highest price point, you get salmon, seafood, cuts of beef for grilling, frog legs, and more. It's an all-you-can-eat buffet at a very reasonable price, so it's true that it's not haute cuisine. It's surprising that some customers are taken aback. I am and will remain a loyal customer. It's worth noting that, given the size of the dining room, it can get noisy on Saturday evenings with children running around (and parents too?) and lively meals with friends.

13/01/2026: Avoid at all costs!!!! The manager is completely crazy. Aggressive and rude. It makes you wonder how people can still occupy places like this today.

03/01/2026: Excellent tartiflette! We had a wonderful time; the place was very pleasant. The staff were efficient despite the busy service.

19/01/2026: The service was pleasant, however, the porcini mushroom fondue was a huge disappointment! We quickly realized that the mushrooms had been put directly into the pot from frozen, judging by the appearance of the fondue... (sautéing them to remove excess water is hardly necessary...). This restaurant has changed a lot, which is a shame; we don't recommend it and won't be going back to the ice cream parlor.

30/12/2025: Simple but not good, it has changed a lot, however the person providing the service is very pleasant.

22/01/2026: The sandwich bread wasn't very fresh, and an employee verbally attacked her colleague right in front of me. It was extremely awkward and unacceptable. I didn't come to eat a bad sandwich to feel embarrassed.

18/08/2024: Easy tent just before the Crest bridge. We were there on Saturday morning and you could only order a coffee or something to drink. They didn't have breakfast which I thought was a shame. It is busy there. But there are nicer restaurants in the center. It is also quite busy here with traffic. Dogs are welcome on the terrace

31/01/2026: The change of ownership is noticeable. The staff seems a bit lost in the service, but the food is just so-so. I came for a delicious croziflette, but I was very disappointed; it was very dry and had little reblochon flavor. In any case, we won't be back.

31/01/2026: Despite the busy crowd on a Saturday evening, the young, motivated and helpful staff were able to find tables, take the orders, deliver my excellent savoye burger & local red in record time. And with a smile. Love this place! But pls. reserve...

05/01/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful takeaway couscous! We brought our own containers and they took care of the rest, beautifully presented in the semolina! We'll definitely be back, and we might even visit the lovely, beautifully decorated restaurant. Thank you so much!

19/04/2025: We had a wonderful time skiing with my family down from Flaine at the end of March, visiting at least four times Auberge de Vernant. Gerard and his team made us feel incredibly welcome. Our son particularly loved the place decorations featuring antique Savoyard tools. We also enjoyed exploring the various restaurants in Flaine and Grand Massif. One of our favorite discoveries was the delicious chocolate with homemade whipped cream, which was not only tasty but also reasonably priced compared to other chalets in Flaine. What truly impressed us was Gerard's hospitality - he gifted us exquisite New Zealand chocolates and even gave us a book about Flaine's history. 25/03/2025: The room and toilets of the hostel are closed, we were only allowed the terrace and self-service (not cheaper though). We were shown the toilets at the chairlift, "because if we understood correctly, the fake one had already been emptied twice, (we want to make the tourist pay, but it shouldn't cost us!!!). WE WILL NOT GO BACK!

29/12/2025: Very disappointed by this kebab. There was far too much oil, which made it truly sickening. I also struggle to understand some reviews mentioning quality meat. The chicken was nothing special. For me, a real homemade kebab is marinated veal, prepared with care. This is clearly low-end. It's a shame, especially when you know what a quality kebab can be. In Thonon, the standard unfortunately remains very low.
