19/05/2026: The staff were friendly and welcoming, keeping us informed about the progress of our order. What's more, we came on a Tuesday evening and it wasn't very busy, no one upstairs, so we were quite comfortably seated.

18/04/2026: We had dinner late, it was a last-minute thing and it was worth it, we were hungry and it wasn't expensive and close to our accommodation. Overall, I recommend it. There were 3 of us, we ate pepperoni pizza (it was good), a quiche with vegetables (also good, but perhaps a small portion for dinner), and a salad (it was good and a good portion). The food is good, it's a good place for something last minute. The service was good, the staff were also friendly, we had no problems, but the place had music a little loud and, as we were more there for dinner and tired, than to socialize, it was uncomfortable.

09/04/2026: Every time I'm in Quimper I eagerly look forward to having a wonderfull steak at Le Saint Mathieu. At the butcher's counter in the restaurant they are happy to help you make the perfect choice, the servers are friendly and helpful, true professionals. This is the one place where I am always certain that they get the cook of the steak just right.

The portion was so small, in fact, that it was eaten in five minutes. It was half a duck breast for the price of a whole one. In short, I was very disappointed considering the price.

24/04/2026: A real disappointment tonight. The welcome was grumpy. The food fell far short of expectations. Overcooked and poorly seasoned. Two smiling but clumsy waiters (still better than the welcome!). The setting and decor were very nice, though. Overall, disappointed.

28/12/2025: A very pleasant place with a beautiful view (from the terrace) of the harbor. Good atmosphere. Friendly and pleasant staff. Good value for money. Stays open in the afternoons at the end of the season, which is really nice when the weather is good.
