09/01/2026: The complex could be amazing, but the gym has absolutely no insulation. I came once when it was raining, and the roof was leaking onto the badminton courts; I had to wipe it off to avoid slipping and getting hurt. I came during the December holidays, and I needed gloves, a hat, and thermal underwear. It was even colder inside than outside. Needless to say, with the sub-zero temperatures, the workout was very uncomfortable. It's a real shame because the bar/restaurant area is pleasant. It's a pity that a "sports complex" is so neglected that the gym is left to fall into disrepair.

22/03/2026: Excellent tapas restaurant; we knew it during the summer months, and it's just as good in the off-season. They are very accommodating to people with reduced mobility, so don't hesitate to share any constructive feedback you may have. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommended! 🙂👍

17/03/2026: We ate there one evening. I found this restaurant expensive; the set menu was €20 and the bill was €72. The chocolate fondant was overcooked, and when I pointed it out, there was no reaction! I do not recommend this restaurant. I was very disappointed considering the price and the poor quality of the food.

27/02/2026: Review of the GASTRONOMIC restaurant: My experience at La Maison Demarcq in no way reflects what one would expect from a fine dining restaurant. Wearing a suit is unfortunately not enough to guarantee professional service. The waitresses on duty that evening did not seem trained to meet the requirements of this type of establishment: cutlery dropped during clearing, an empty water bottle left on the table for half the meal without being offered another… and these are just a few examples. The most disappointing aspect was the handling of a perfectly legitimate comment regarding my partner's starter. We had all ordered the set menu, but his plate was noticeably richer in aspic than those of the other diners. When I pointed this out, the waitress replied that the kitchen had probably made a mistake by sending an à la carte starter instead of the one from the set menu. I expressed that this had spoiled the meal, but I received neither a clear apology nor any real attention to the situation, just a dismissive "oh well..." Mistakes happen, but the lack of a professional response is regrettable. Regarding the food, the meal was acceptable up until the main course (despite this incident). However, the dessert was a real disappointment: an extremely thick, heavy mille-feuille, difficult to enjoy, and which, in my opinion, has no place in an establishment claiming to be fine dining. It's a shame to end the meal on such an undignified note. Finally, the music was not in keeping with the advertised setting and level of service. The playlist played sounded more like an NRJ Music Awards party than a musical selection suitable for a fine dining restaurant. This contributed to an overall inconsistent experience. In the end, the price-quality ratio may partly explain these negative points: the pricing positioning remains reasonable, and this ultimately makes certain imperfections less surprising — even if we still expect a minimum of professionalism and consistency.

18/03/2026: A must-visit address in Caen! The villa, elegantly decorated and chic, offers a charming setting. The menu features original dishes, with a fine selection of wines. The atmosphere guarantees a wonderful time.

15/03/2026: Service on March 14th, at 8 PM We were warmly welcomed, but quickly disappointed. Here's what happened: Don't forget your thermal underwear, it's cold! The wait was far too long. Our order was taken at 8:15 PM, and the appetizers were served an hour later. The main courses? Same story: a 40-minute wait for three undercooked meat dishes, and the side dishes arrived 10 minutes later… Want a carafe of water? Tough luck, there weren't any left. As compensation, they offered us a complimentary bottle of Evian. That was acceptable. If you make it to dessert, congratulations! Few of us did, and we decided to leave. We stayed at the table for three hours. When we paid, we expressed our dissatisfaction. The restaurant offered us the equivalent of €65 off our order. We don't blame the waitress; she's on the front line and taking the brunt of it. However, we regret the overall experience. The prices charged should reflect impeccable quality. Finally, dear owner of Villa Eugène, if you're reading this, please act quickly, because based on past reviews, a trend seems to be emerging, and clearly not in your favor!

09/04/2026: I went to Merci to buy a bag as a gift, and I was surprised when I got home to find there was no dust bag included. Considering the price of the bag, I would have expected a dust bag. When I returned, the sales assistant simply replied "sorry" regarding the lack of a dust bag. A bad experience for me.

09/04/2026: The store is still as inspiring as ever. Even without buying anything, you leave with something. The curation is excellent. I've rediscovered the quality of the past. Less mainstream, more trendsetting. Lots of handcrafted items. In short, a real pleasure rediscovered. P.S. I'm not giving it 5 stars because of some prices that I often find excessive. Thank you.

20/03/2026: The manager, or so-called manager, who was there on March 20th at 8:30 PM was a complete joke—disrespectful, arrogant, and with an attitude that made me want to throw up my food. Not to mention that his colleague, who was asked to clean the tables, handed us the cloths and told us to do it ourselves.

06/04/2026: I went today, and I'm appalled by the terrible service. There were very few people, the staff were completely inattentive, and we received half-melted ice cream.

06/04/2026: I come here from time to time, and today I was particularly disappointed. I was at the drive-thru, and there was a long wait (maybe they were understaffed). I ordered a Big Mac meal and a muffin, but they were out of muffins, so they gave me a list of other pastries. I chose a chocolate donut. When I finally got to the window to pay, they told me they were out of chocolate donuts... so I ordered something else. I went home, and the Big Mac was almost cold (even though I live only 5 minutes away). There was only one ketchup (there are usually two), and the orange juice was watered down, so it wasn't very sweet. This is the first time I've been so disappointed...
