03/06/2026: I've already asked some friends which is the best kebab in Caen, and we all unanimously agree: it's truly the best kebab. Sure, the portions are a bit small, but the quality of the meat is excellent. The service is slow, and the fries aren't huge, but when we say best, we mean best in terms of taste. It's been unbeatable for years. So if you want a large portion with greasy fries, go somewhere else.

01/07/2026: It's 3 PM and we're craving something refreshing. It's not a fancy ice cream parlor, but we order two sundaes which arrive a little melted. Luckily the heatwave is over… the atmosphere is calm, the restrooms are clean. The staff is friendly. And on top of that, we get an unbeatable price to charge our EV, even cheaper than the Tesla station right next door! Come to McDonald's for that alone!

15/07/2026: A terrible experience. My friend was turned away at the entrance because he was wearing sandals. Meanwhile, about thirty other people inside were wearing them without any problem. A clear case of discrimination (my friend is a foreigner), compounded by contemptuous remarks from management when we asked questions. Avoid this place.

21/07/2026: Hello I've been coming several times a month for several years now. Always satisfied, always excellent, and never disappointed. I would, however, like to suggest to the chef that the dessert menu be updated a bit, especially in the summer, with some sorbets (melon, mango, passion fruit, etc.) and summer fruit salads (watermelon, melon, etc.) because I've stopped ordering dessert lately. We will definitely be coming back to your restaurant, as I've made a reservation for 10 people next Saturday. See you soon!

15/07/2026: I was very pleasantly surprised by a generous and excellent plate of food; I have no complaints about the meal itself. However, the welcome was VERY poor, even bordering on rudeness, from someone who probably thought they were a head waiter in a luxury hotel but lacked the necessary class! It was early evening, only one table was occupied, and there was NO ONE at the entrance. We were seated, and within three minutes, this frustrated person, probably acting out of character, appeared and attacked us. This behavior was UNACCEPTABLE! Fortunately, the two other staff members, who were lovely and charming, redeemed the experience. Thank you to them, and the meal was excellent.

04/07/2026: Delicious gourmet meal, bursting with flavor, delicately presented, homemade, generous portions, top-quality and fresh ingredients. Beautiful setting in nature, very friendly staff, and amazing chefs. A must-try! Reservations are practically essential. A treat for the taste buds.

25/07/2026: Tonight I discovered a southern French atmosphere... A small terrace, pétanque players, trees in this pleasant, recently redesigned little square. The owners are very friendly and full of humor. Regulars enjoy devouring the only dish on the menu of this pizza bar while sipping a glass of wine. Newcomers... like me... who came for sauerkraut 🤣🤣, quickly realized they'd be back often to enjoy the excellent pizzas, thin-crust or otherwise, depending on their appetite. No starters, and the only dessert isn't on the menu but was offered by the ever-humorous chef. A small but well-known selection of beers, and... the entertainment is also in the street (not always good acts), but that's part of neighborhood life. Worth discovering for a pleasant time.

Where is the soul of Coucaril...the soul of the mother who welcomed us for years with her kindness and smile...lost...we were turned away by a fire-breathing, heartless man...while tables were empty, claiming that at 9 pm she only serves savory food. We can still read the message on the door that said: sweets at 9 pm...poor Coucaril...how sad...so little courtesy.
