07/07/2026: Standard doner kebap place, where I have nothing tl complain. Food was good and service friendly. The durum was little small and did not have that much of kebap.

01/07/2026: Horrible. We come to eat something quickly, and we decided to install ourselves outsides, right next to the door and the window so the staff had a great view on our table. But very quickly, some kids (~13 years) install themselves right next to us, not to eat, they aren’t even clients, just to trigger me. We continue eating like that, saying nothing and without help for 5-10 minutes with the kids mocking us and being annoying. When they started to belch in our ears and insult us straight on my face I had to stand up and almost fight with the kids and that’s only when the staff come to finally help us and make them go away. They were clearly seeing the kids annoying us for almost 10 minutes and they didn’t do anything. If you want to eat in peace and pass a good moments, don’t go here.

14/09/2026: I go there regularly with my teenage daughters. It's our go-to time for a girls' chat over a hot drink, and sometimes even a slice of cake or a pastry. There's nothing better for a relaxing break. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff is always very attentive. I highly recommend it.

27/08/2026: Reading through some of these reviews makes me feel better about my experience in this cafe... When I walked in the manager stared at me as if I was a 7ft alien. Sure, I am a brit but we are not that bad. I ordered a cappuccino but due to the VERY strange looks throughout the interaction I dare not even drink it for fear she had done something to the drink!

03/05/2026: The way there A beautiful drive along the local roads to the village of Auberive. From the highway, you very quickly enter a peaceful area where time seems to stand still, with a beautiful rolling landscape. It is about a 14km drive after leaving the highway. The village of Auberive It is a very small village (approximately 250 inhabitants) that feels very old and charming. Don't expect restaurants or cafes, but rather peace, local people, and a church. It is very small and rustic. Don't expect anyone speaking English with you here 😀. The Auberge Auberge de l'Abbatiale is a historic hotel situated in a 12th-century building in the village of Auberive, located next to the Abbey of Auberive. It is open to visitors, but check the season and opening hours. The Auberge has 5 rooms. We had the family room. It has 2 floors. The room is simple and equipped with air conditioning. The shower and toilet are very basic, but you will survive. The beds are small doubles (140 cm wide) and firmly sprung. There is an outdoor area with a plastic patio table for 2 people. The prices are steep, but you do sleep in unique and quiet accommodation. The family has paid a lot of attention to detail in the renovation of the hotel/chambres d’hôtes. Dining at Auberge They provide lunch and dinner depending on the season. It is also accessible to non-hotel guests. Dinner is served in a monumental room with classic fireplaces that also serve partly as stoves (for preparing the Bœuf Bourguignon). It is very atmospherically decorated, and you immediately feel transported to the Middle Ages. For 45 Euros, you get a 3-course menu. A more than reasonable price for the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the service. The host is very friendly and speaks excellent English. They have a wine list with a few very fine wines. More than enough choice, and a glass of wine is also available for 6 euros. So you can go as wild as you like. Walking routes There are many walking routes, and these are marked in the village and along the route using a combination of two colors. A lovely way to enjoy the beautiful nature and silence. Charging There are two 11kW charging stations in the village car park (a 3-4m walk from the hotel). We were able to use our Travelcard here. Hold your card in front of the sensor, open the cabinet on the side, and connect the cable. That is all. Don't forget to close the cabinet afterwards.

11/08/2026: Excellent sandwiches! I recommend the express deal: sandwich of your choice + soft drink + coffee for a very low price. The owner is very friendly and the service is quick.

05/09/2026: Had a really great meal here when on holiday with my family, they have a beautiful courtyard out the back. Not a cheap restaurant but the food was lovely and lots of choice to suit everyone. Would recommend booking as it seems to get very busy (understandably!)

30/08/2026: The restaurant is superbly located and the food is brilliant too and portions are huge. Both the soup and lamb were delicious. The outdoor setup is also fantastic. Only regret I have is the bottle of wine suggested did not match my taste and I had to leave the half empty.

05/09/2026: The chocolate croissants have changed drastically; they're not good, undercooked, and the quality is no longer what it used to be across all the products.

28/08/2026: Extremely shocked! We are regular customers of this splendid bakery, which always creates wonderful treats. We drive 40 minutes specifically to shop at Rouget's regularly and always spend between €80 and €110. We have always received a free clear bag with our purchases, and today, to our great surprise, we left with seven cake boxes in our hands. We naturally asked the saleswoman for a bag, and she initially told us she didn't have a suitable size, only small ones. I told her that we are usually given a large clear bag, and she replied that it would cost €0.50 if I wanted it. This is truly disappointing and completely unprofessional of her. When you shop at Rouget's, you should know, madam, that we are not worried about €0.50! And to top it off, she added that the price of the bags is displayed. I was about ready to tell her to refund me and keep her products safe and sound in those bags!

26/08/2026: Fantastic meal and service. The wine pairing was amazing. The food was sublime. I have a gluten allergy and they did an amazing job substituting for me. They even had gluten free bread for me.
