24/07/2026: On a Friday evening at 8:30 pm, the service was a bit odd. We weren't offered the daily specials, the menu didn't include rosé, and instead we were offered a pitcher of wine. We ordered two cocktails at €10.50 each and didn't even get a peanut! The dishes were good, but seemed to be made with industrial-grade fries from McAin and industrial peppercorn sauce. But surprisingly, at 9:25 pm, someone came to us before we'd finished our main course to ask about desserts, as the cooks were leaving and you have to order them in advance. I've never seen anything like it! We were inside, but outside there were at least four cats, even climbing onto the chairs to beg for scraps. That's understandable, but perhaps some people don't want to eat with cats at the table.

I let my 13-year-old come here with his friends: in the evening he vomited his tacos: because you agree to serve adult portions to little kids: I WARN PARENTS DO NOT LET YOUR KIDS GO THERE ALONE, THEY WILL FORCE-FED THEM FOR THEIR PROFIT AT THE EXPENSE OF THE KIDS' HEALTH.

14/05/2026: I paid for a set menu order and when I got home the drinks weren't there. They forgot to take the payment and instead of putting the drinks in, they didn't include them.

18/08/2026: Okay, the menu is too expensive, 18 euros for a hamburger, fries, and a Coke... The chicken hamburger is too dry... not great.

04/08/2026: A very good burger made with local ingredients: Bread, patty, and homemade sauce. It was delicious.

26/08/2026: I do not recommend this place. We waited 20 minutes before asking the waitress to take our order. There were only a few tables; two other tables also had to ask for their orders to be taken. After 50 minutes, I told the waitress that it was getting long for two set menus and two main courses. She replied, "Well, you'll have to wait, there are still two tables ahead of you, and we're short-staffed." I said okay. After an hour, we left, especially since I had told them when making the reservation that it was my son's birthday. Several of us left. I don't think that's right, and of course, they didn't forget to charge us for the Coke and iced tea we drank... a disgrace.

25/08/2026: We stopped by L'Antre Potes in mid-August for lunch. It's a nice little restaurant; the food is good and the staff is welcoming. Despite a hiccup in service—the children's menu was forgotten and therefore served late—the owner acknowledged the mistake and made a kind gesture. Not everyone makes such a gesture after a hiccup, it's worth noting! We'll be back.

01/09/2026: We only had breakfast goods; pain au chocolat and muffins were tasty. And the water for tea wasn't too hot so you were able to enjoy it with the baked goods!

01/08/2026: A wonderful discovery! This restaurant is right in the heart of Sarlat. The food is excellent, the portions are generous, and you won't leave hungry. Thank you to the owners and staff, who are very welcoming and friendly. Don't miss it; you won't be disappointed, unlike the usual tourist traps. I highly recommend it.

01/08/2026: We found this by chance as I was inspecting the menu when the chef himself told me the restaurant was excellent. My wife and I ate here for our 50th wedding anniversary. It didn't disappoint. Food was very tasty, well presented and served in a timely fashion. We were not pressed or pressured to go faster. All in all an excellent experience.

07/09/2026: Settled on the shaded terrace of Le Gaulois, THE neighborhood bistro Under the beautiful and majestic chestnut tree Or at the foot of the ancient stones of Saint-Sauveur Cathedral Time seems to stand still, and the wind caresses the skin of local workers and tourists from afar A whiff of coffee, the ringing of the church bells, the sweet aroma of cooking, an Italian tune, laughter rising… The authentic, down-to-earth atmosphere, the murmur of the square, and the southern accent make this terrace a little slice of paradise. And thank you to the whole team for making this moment so delightful!

22/08/2026: Excellent tarte flambée, pleasant service, and if you don't bother the owner—she's simply strong-willed and doesn't let anyone push her around—you'll have a wonderful evening. Very good ice cream from a neighboring artisan.

08/08/2026: A typical Alsatian tavern, from the decor to the tableware, tables, chairs, and tablecloths. For me, without a doubt, the best tarte flambée in the area: crispy homemade pastry, perfectly seasoned custard, and quality ingredients. All cooked over a wood fire. Special mention goes to the crackling tart, which is rarely found in restaurants anymore but is always a highlight in this tavern. The ice cream from Lake Kuttolsheim is also worth a visit.

01/07/2026: There's a big party (school prom?) happening at the chateau this evening. I would expect a hotel to notify its guests of such an event. I have a long travel day tomorrow and was expecting an early night (especially being mid-week).

24/04/2026: A very beautiful and charming hotel. It's a real treat to be able to work remotely from their garden overlooking the lake. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. The only improvement worth noting is that they don't have a dinner menu; they might suggest what they have available at the time.

26/07/2026: The waiter was a short, red-haired man—sorry for the word, incredible!—nothing to complain about. Quick, efficient, and full of humor, as he should be. Perfect food, except that the bartender and two other waiters acted like they were running a corner shop.

16/04/2026: I highly recommend this place. The food was high quality and very well prepared; we thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. The service was excellent and genuinely kind, especially considering we were a party of seven adults and three young children. We will definitely be back.
