30/11/2025: A real gem! We're from Oléron and were looking for a good restaurant for a gourmet getaway in the Brouage Citadel this Sunday at lunchtime, and we found it! Open year-round, with great reviews and eels on the menu, that was all it took to convince us to book. Thank you, Google Maps! 🙃 In the end, everything exceeded our expectations. First, the wide selection on the menu, the excellent value for money, the quality of the wine we chose, the creative and delicious homemade cuisine, the generous portions, the warm decor, the small seating capacity, and what a welcome! We'll definitely be back! 🍷😋

30/11/2025: A wonderful discovery in Brouage, L'ESCALE DU ROY is an intimate restaurant with a soothing atmosphere and great music. The menu is original and very varied, making it hard to choose. Everything is homemade, the portions are generous, and the dishes are delicious. The restaurant offers a set menu at very affordable prices. The owner is welcoming and warm, having recently arrived from Marie-Galante with her husband, the chef. Welcome to them, and see you very soon!

07/12/2025: Fantastic place. Perfect spot for a drink and snacks, cocktails are good, snacks plates are great - bites, cheese, dry ham, everything is good. Good whiskey selection. Service is great, very polite and all English speaking people. Very good music- starting with French classics, gradually moving to more party music and at some point DJ will take over. Decibels aren’t very high, so people can still have conversation. In overall great experience for me and my wife- we had fantastic evening and we will visit again. Recommend!

04/12/2025: Long ago, it was "Chez Geneviève," named after that fantastic lady who too often treated me to ice cream and made the best croque monsieur in Banyuls. Today, La Ganotte, though obviously operating in a different style (catering heavily to tourists), continues to offer a warm welcome and croque monsieur worthy of Geneviève.

03/01/2026: A fantastic discovery! The atmosphere was great and we had a wonderful time. Special mention for the presentation of the dishes, which was magnificent; it was as beautiful as it was delicious. I highly recommend it, go without hesitation!

09/12/2025: Okay, let's just say it's my go-to spot for morning coffee. They've done a lot of renovations, and they also recently bought a ramp so I can get in with my wheelchair. They also recently created an opening in the kitchen, so we can see everything that's going on—talk about transparency! Special shout-out to my little bearded guy with glasses and a ponytail. He'll know who he is, won't he, my sweetie?

01/11/2025: One of the best restaurants in Porto-Vecchio. The welcome was incredible. The chef is phenomenal. An out-of-this-world rum selection. A truly wonderful evening.

07/10/2025: A slightly bohemian and over-the-top restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. We ordered aubergines à la Bonifacienne, reminiscent of our eggplant parmigiana but with a more local twist. For our main course, the porc was incredibly flavorful and tender (and not overly fatty, as is often the case with pork); we truly enjoyed it. Finally, we tried the local chestnut dessert, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a few pieces of strawberry...it was amazing! The prices were a little higher than we're used to in Italy (but nothing outrageous). I don't know if it's comparable to other restaurants in Corsica, but we highly recommend everything we ordered from A Furtezza! The service was a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry and had a pleasant evening in this unique place.
