12/02/2026: How can I put lasagna straight from a supermarket tray and serve it as a main course? NO, especially for an Italian restaurant! The mush has a very industrial taste… make an effort! And the chicken, all slimy, comes from a vacuum-sealed package already cooked… the food is far from homemade. Apart from that, the staff were friendly, thank you for the two clementines!

09/03/2026: A very good brasserie, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The monkfish with Armorican sauce was truly excellent, with perfectly cooked vegetables. The foie gras was superb and a generous portion. A simple and efficient place to have a good time.

18/03/2026: Did not disappoint!! When Googling gluten free in Alpe d'Huez Smithy's Tavern is always at the top, and there is a reason for that. There were plenty of options for veggies, gluten free diets, and those with coeliac, the staff are knowledgeable to cater for all; options include burgers and fajitas. I had the Macho Nacho burger with salt n vinegar fries! The burger was so meaty and tasty, the bun was so good and soft! The fries -insanely good. Staff were really lovely, friendly and attentive. I would recommend booking, luckily we were able to get a table as a walk in when they first opened but it got busy quickly.

09/03/2026: The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy 😊. Beyond all that, you can easily discuss dietary restrictions with the owners (which isn't something you see everywhere!). They are very attentive and genuinely care about their customers' well-being; they will make sure you're happy, and believe me, they mean it... I salute them and thank them from the bottom of my heart for allowing my wife to enjoy going out again.
