29/04/2026: Every week we go to the McDonald's in Lillers, and every week there's a problem. The latest was a double charge for a simple €26 order. It took 15 days to get a refund after four visits to the restaurant and an email sent to the manager. We won't be going back anytime soon. It's a shame, considering we're only 3 minutes from the restaurant.

16/04/2026: This is the second time I've ordered. Tonight was the last. Hot and cold items are in the same bags. The sushi is warm and therefore not very good. We pay for a set menu and get tiny containers, and given the price, I find it frankly unacceptable not to get the expected quantity. There were no almonds in the almond chicken. It disgusts me to pay such a price and not get the quality and quantity I expect.

15/05/2026: The staff were very friendly but rather reserved. The sandwich was the usual Subway type and quite generous. It's a shame we had to get takeout because the restaurant wasn't open the evening we went.

03/06/2026: We sat down at a table on the terrace, and after a while I decided to approach the waiter or waitress. Not knowing who would be serving us, I asked inside when I came in if we could order. The waitress, annoyed and without saying "Hello," replied that it was possible, but not with a smile or a word as she brought our drinks. We ordered fries to make up for the lack of peanuts or chips, which I find unbelievable for a bistro (unexpected things happen, you might say)... In the end, our waitress, apparently on break while we waited for our fries (which were good, by the way), sat down in the middle of the other customers (a bit much for a restaurant)... Eventually, the waiter who took over service sorted things out by checking with the waitress who had just left the order behind... In short, given the previous comments, I'm not surprised... But honestly, the waiter who took over was genuinely pleasant, smiling, and friendly. We didn't try the food, but frankly, we don't feel like going back! It's a shame for such a nice place, with its lovely decor (the painting near the restroom door was a bit crooked) and seemingly good food! Nothing is guaranteed and everything can be lost…beware, beware!

31/05/2026: I booked this restaurant, which I hadn't been to before, for Mother's Day. We chose the octopus with chorizo ​​cream and mashed potatoes. It arrived after a long wait, lukewarm, and what's worse, a tiny portion—just five bites. And this for €26! I got up because the three waiters were overwhelmed between the terrace and the two dining rooms to express my dissatisfaction! They told me that the chef decides the portion sizes! Disappointed, we left without ordering dessert! I won't be going back. Bad experience 🥺

24/03/2026: We had a truly delicious meal! Good service. A tasty wine was recommended that paired well with the dishes. The tables were very cramped, though, but I think you see that a lot in Paris.

24/03/2026: The food was good but we were not blown away. The experience lacked personality. Even though there were still open tables, they seemed to rush things and it lacked the relaxed and personal dinning experience.

08/06/2026: The ambiance wasn't top-notch, but the food was absolutely delicious. Veggie pizza and burrata salad, topped off with the best crème brûlée ice cream in France :-) . I'd gladly come again.

10/06/2026: What an awful McDonald’s. The restaurant was pretty much empty when I visited, yet it still took 15 minutes to prepare my meal. The manager was preparing it and seemed completely uninterested and unapologetic. He just dragged his feet around the back and couldn’t be bothered to provide basic customer service. Perhaps he should be looking for other line of work because this job clearly isn’t for him.

10/06/2026: McDonald's will live on! When you're in a tourist city and don't know what to eat, McDonald's is always the safest choice. Transparent pricing, consistent taste, and peace of mind. Especially in places like Chamonix where restaurants are generally expensive, McDonald's feels incredibly welcoming.
