09/04/2026: The service was very unfriendly, they forgot our drinks (which we were still expected to pay for) and made us wait ages for the bill (note: no cash). The lasagna was thawed. The owner was sitting at the next table – smoking and showing absolutely no interest in the well-being of her guests. Not recommended.

10/03/2026: Generous portions of tasty food at a good price. Note that they do not accept credit cards (this was not mentioned at the entrance).

15/02/2026: We came based on word of mouth. The food was delicious, and the portions were perfect. The atmosphere was a little too noisy for us, probably due to a lack of soundproofing. The simple setting, a beautiful table in the center of the room, and a warm welcome completed this pleasant experience.

12/10/2025: A quick stop with my dog ​​(the hotel is pet-friendly) to see my daughter in Mayenne, and I was super happy to find a hotel and a restaurant. The rooms are clean, and the staff (only women, from what I saw) is friendly. I had dinner at the restaurant in the evening, and it was really nice: the dishes were tasty and the dessert too. Breakfast is sweet and cold (ham, cheeses, and others), but I prefer Mediterranean options with a good omelet, even if it's not a big deal. I recommend this stop.

07/02/2026: We were charged €80 for 20 shots, while the colleague next to us offered them for €10 each. Perhaps they should review their prices? Or maybe they should stop ripping off young students? The waiter was very rude and refused to discuss the matter. We asked two different colleagues the price of 20 shots, and they both quoted us prices under €40. This bar is best avoided, especially if you're a young student.

02/02/2026: Le Méphisto is a bit of a refuge for those evenings when you want to forget you're in Saint-Quentin without actually leaving Saint-Quentin: a real pub atmosphere, a lively crowd, music, and a beer selection that almost makes you feel like you're traveling without even getting up from your stool. The pros: a huge selection of draft and bottled beers, live music/DJs, pool, darts, a great, lively atmosphere, and lots of regulars, giving it the feel of a local hangout. The cons: often very crowded, a bit noisy, and sometimes there's a wait at the bar, so it's best avoided if you're looking for peace and quiet or an intimate conversation. In short, it's not just another bar; it's where Saint-Quentin proves it still knows how to party: highly recommended if you love pubs, beer, and nights that rarely end on time.

20/12/2025: We love it!!! We just ate there tonight and, as always, we weren't disappointed. My sweetheart loved the pizza, my little boy his nuggets, and the kebab was great! But most of all, what we love most is the service!!! Always so pleasant and lovely with our son 🥰 Everyone goes out of their way to make us feel welcome, and that's rare these days!!! In short, go for it without hesitation!!!

12/04/2026: Sunday morning, leaving the train station, we had breakfast at McDonald's, but a very unpleasant surprise: the toilets were locked. According to the sign, they were reserved for customers. When we asked, we were told THE TOILETS WERE BLOCKED and would remain closed all day! Shameful...

The fries were frozen and barely cooked, and there wasn't enough sauce with the main course. A shame. On the other hand, they do accept restaurant vouchers.

06/09/2025: A stroll through the village of Porto Vecchio and a discovery of this salad bar. It's an original concept and a great idea. Create your own salad with the ingredients of your choice; everything is well-prepared. Friendly and pleasant staff. I highly recommend this salad bar for a delicious break.

07/01/2026: If you're not a student and white (sorry, but it has to be said), just don't go. From the moment I walked in, the welcome was particularly cold, with an immediate feeling of not being welcome. The evening menu was also surprising: no hot drinks (tea, coffee), which is odd for an establishment open during the winter. (There was snow.) Several things happened throughout the evening that significantly detracted from the experience. At 9 p.m., I was asked to move to another room because one had closed early (I understand). At 10:14 p.m., even though Google indicated closing time as 11:30 p.m., a waitress asked me to transfer my drink into a plastic cup so the glasses could be cleaned. Finally, at 10:40 p.m., I was asked to leave the establishment. These practices contradict the advertised hours and give the impression of disrespectful customer service. The experience was uncomfortable, frustrating, and particularly disappointing. It would be advisable for the establishment to clearly display its actual closing times and the type of clientele it intends to serve, in order to avoid this kind of situation and preserve the customer experience. As it stands, this visit remains one of the worst experiences I've had in a café.

14/02/2026: The manager is incredibly unpleasant, thinks she's something special, and can't admit that there's always a mistake with our order! Sometimes they're missing fries, sometimes feta, and so on! And to top it off, she has the nerve to tell us, "Just go eat somewhere else!" BUT THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT WE'RE GOING TO DO! There's no shortage of competition around you, and it's better quality, especially with people who are actually capable of being the boss! You'd be better off becoming a salesperson; that's the foundation of your profession. If everyone starts eating elsewhere, you'll go out of business! I've lived in Faulquemont for 34 years, and I've never known a place this bad since you took over!
