08/03/2026: Cute place with character and cosy vibes. The owner is a sweetheart the atmosphere welcoming. However, nearly 20 euros for a hot drink and pancakes (not even homemade, I recognized the brand!) is a tiny bit too much even for le Marais or posher areas. I had to double check the price at the moment of paying as I couldn't quite understand why the bill was so high
08/02/2026: Cute lil café tucked away in a silent street in Belleville. The owner is warm and kind, just wished the golden latte had more flavor, it felt mildly watery.
The carrot cake and pancakes were nice :)

06/12/2024: I have come to the public house several times to have a drink with friends but this was the first time I came there to eat lunch. A very good experience, the service was fast, the meat of the day was very good and the rare cooking was perfect for a very reasonable price.
The highlight in my eyes was the gourmet coffee which lives up to its name very well! The desserts were very good and plentiful, I recommend.

24/03/2026: I recommend it. Very friendly waitresses and fast service. The food was very good. The prices are perhaps just a little high.
22/03/2026: I ate a berthoud completely swimming in oil... frankly disgusting. The dish was heavy, cloying, and completely unbalanced.
You expect something delicious, but it was just greasy and inedible. Very disappointed by this experience.

07/04/2026: A pleasant brasserie in St-Germain, serving food until 10 pm, and the food is very good, with more original dishes than its competitors—well, we're not going to complain. The staff is friendly. The prices are reasonable. There you have it.

13/11/2025: Absolutely shameful. My son, who is diabetic, just wanted a little something sweet, and the snack bar employee refused, claiming he wasn't the owner. Seriously?! Do you need to be the owner to have a little compassion? No respect, no humanity. We're talking about a sick child, not a whim! I hope people read this review before spending a single penny there. Avoid this snack bar at all costs; zero conscience, zero compassion.

02/11/2025: What a disappointment! We come to Belle-Île-en-Mer regularly, every year. We used to leave the coastal path to have a coffee at the foot of the lighthouse... Now, you order your drink, sit down, then they clear the table, the smile is lukewarm, and the price isn't any cheaper... It's like a cafeteria in a big city! Where is the friendly place of the past?
13/10/2025: A quick stop while visiting Belle Île on a Sunday lunchtime. A panini and a beer while listening to a local band.
Very pleasant under a beautiful sun ☀️

27/03/2026: It was a fantastic time at La Croix ou Pile!
The steak tartare was absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned; although it was a little more "cooked" than usual (the "searing" the waitress explained apparently took longer than expected), the flavors were definitely there.
I absolutely loved the two-chocolate entremet for dessert: you could really taste the natural and authentic cocoa, it was light and not too sweet.
A truly wonderful place to return to!
26/03/2026: Beautiful setting in the heart of the forest. Average brasserie. The food is greasy with only one breaded fish option on the menu. The downside is that the menu never changes. It features prawns or pan-fried fish that have more breading than fish. The restaurant has three distinct areas: a cozy veranda overlooking the forest, a wooden alcove with large bay windows, and finally, a fireplace area. All with views of the Marchiennes forest. It's great, but a shame the food quality has declined.

A little disappointed after an order. Finally, at the employee level, I ordered three-meat tacos, and received one with two meats. We called, he brought me a one-meat taco (the meat that was missing), and the delivery man said, "You can bite into both." I don't know if that's ironic or if they're making fun of the customer.

22/03/2026: I've seen the comments and I'm disappointed by what I've read, especially since I went there before and they gave me a warm welcome. So I personally advise against this kebab shop; go to Planet Food instead, one of the best in the Porte d'Orléans area!
16/03/2026: 4.70 kebab and fries, very good, expensive, super friendly, what more could you ask for?
