02/09/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring the area. The small menu caught our eye. We ordered the sea bream with potatoes and aioli. It was absolutely delicious; we thoroughly enjoyed it. Price-wise, it's a little on the high side. As for the service, don't expect anything overly formal or impersonal. It's a family-run restaurant: here, they take the time to chat and connect! We were even treated to a Corsican song accompanied by guitar, which was a lovely touch. Highly recommended!

23/08/2026: We had a great meal (sea bream, potatoes and aioli + linguine with clams). However, it's a real shame that smoking and joints are allowed on the terrace. Because of secondhand smoke, you lose a good part of the flavor of the food you're eating, not to mention that it's irritating to the eyes and throat and smells awful (in addition to being dangerous for your health, obviously). (I should mention that we didn't dare say anything at the time because the man who was using drugs next to his young child was clearly friends with the restaurant owners.) The service was pleasant and efficient; we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and enthusiastic staff. Furthermore, the restaurant is well located and open on Sundays. 24/09/2026: I strongly advise against going to KFC Rennes Cesson after two consecutive disastrous experiences. On my first visit, I had to wait two hours for my order. As "compensation," I was offered a one-month discount, and only for one meal, even though there were two of us. This compensation was completely inadequate and pointless. Wanting to give them a second chance, I recently went back to the drive-thru. To my horror, I found a huge hair in my burger. It's simply disgusting and raises serious questions about the hygiene standards in their kitchens. I was forced to throw away my meal and incur additional expenses to buy food elsewhere. To top it all off, I contacted customer service with a photo as evidence. I received an acknowledgement of receipt on Tuesday (ticket #230833) assuring me of a response within 24 hours. Since then? Absolute radio silence. This is a complete lack of respect for the customer. The lack of response to such a hygiene problem is unacceptable. I am still waiting for a real explanation and proper compensation, but in the meantime, I advise you to avoid this restaurant. I won't be setting foot in it again anytime soon.

On the Friday before the Braderie, so fewer people around, we ordered 3 chickens with Maroilles cheese for €17.50 = cheap, battery-farmed chicken breast with absolutely no taste, cooked in water...😳 not even grilled and covered in a béchamel sauce with 1 gram of Maroilles cheese in it. So, not even Maroilles sauce for Lille! False advertising! They're taking the people of Lille and tourists for fools! Go somewhere else

25/07/2026: Not great... Dirty floor and tables even though there were very few customers (maximum 8). Loud music in the kitchen. Very unpleasant staff, especially when we got our order because we hadn't understood the order number since this gentleman spoke French like a Spanish cow. He just threw the tray at us while yelling at us in his language, which we didn't understand, and then they were laughing in the back kitchen, looking at us with the cook who, if I had seen him before, would have made me run away... I'll never go back.

24/06/2026: It's good, but it's a shame that considering the price, which is the same as another chip shop in Pont-sur-Sambre, we were very poorly served. Not many fries. Half a baguette was really small. It's a shame, as we're a family of five and we always get two burgers and meat for our three children. With the heatwave and everything closed, we went there, but there were hardly any fries at all. Considering the high price, be more generous.

27/08/2026: A very good experience at Cristal Bar Rive Gauche. The burgers are generous, tasty, and well-prepared, with a really pleasant atmosphere. The service is quick and attentive. Special mention to the bartenders, who are super welcoming, friendly, and professional, and who really contribute to the great atmosphere of the place. A place where you're guaranteed a good time and where I'll gladly return.

Seriously, it's a shame I can't post pictures. The fries were soggy and undercooked. Frankly, it had been a while since I'd been there, but this time, I definitely won't be back. Disappointing.
