15/05/2026: Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. The drinks took over 15 minutes to arrive, and we only had five lemonades. The starter arrived barely two minutes before the main courses, completely disrupting the flow of the meal. The fries weren't even served with the main courses, and we had to ask the waiter several times for the sweet potato fries. We didn't appreciate the waiter's comments. He then explained that they were understaffed and that the owners were on vacation, which we can understand. However, if the restaurant can't provide proper service, perhaps they should limit the number of customers to avoid such a disorganized experience. It's a shame, because despite everything, the food remains consistent and good.

14/05/2026: Fantastic experience at Moonshiner! The service was top-notch from start to finish. The staff were always smiling and attentive, even though the restaurant was busy. The service remained quick and friendly, which is becoming increasingly rare. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal; the dishes were delicious, beautifully presented, and generous. The atmosphere was great, and we had a wonderful evening. I highly recommend it!

The setting is lovely thanks to the Jacques Cœur basin. The cuisine is simple, but always good, as you'll appreciate the generous portions. I recommend it. 06/05/2026: A truly memorable lunch at Le Bistro d’Hervé in old Agde — a Michelin-recognized kitchen (Bib Gourmand, two Fourchettes) that absolutely lives up to the billing. The meal opened with a complimentary seafood tapenade served alongside warm, herb-dusted crostini — an unexpected and gracious touch that set the tone. I followed with the avocado and shrimp: presented in a crisp golden crust with wasabi mayonnaise, spring onions, and lime. Bright, balanced, and quietly inventive. Then the main event — a thick, beautifully seared pork chop over silky mashed potato, finished with sautéed greens, shallots, and a deeply reduced jus I could have eaten by the spoonful. A minerally glass of local white wine was the perfect counterpoint, sharp enough to cut the richness without competing with it. Chef Hervé Dos Santos is doing serious, soulful, forward-thinking cooking in this small Languedoc town. If you can make your way to 47 rue Brescou, you will not be disappointed.

08/05/2026: just stopped in for a quick non-alcoholic beer, inside was very cute and nice tables outside on the street with the tram whizzing past on a big leafy avenue right on a corner. Very pleasant for just a quick sit but they have food too if you are hungry.

14/03/2026: A cafe near the Garden of Luxemburg. The owner was extremely hospitable and friendly. There weren’t so many people when we were there. It a great place to take a break after a long walk! It’s is a home-style cafe so it offered basic drinks and pastries. We had our lunch earlier so we only ordered two cups of coffee. They were good and affordable (4,6 in total). I’d definitely go again and order the pastries next time.

A truly authentic spot in the Montparnasse neighborhood with a smiling, helpful owner whose homemade pastries are perfect. (Christiane, the young customer who uses a walker and is often unwell these days)

11/04/2026: I had an excellent experience at this cafe! I was looking for a place that was laptop friendly with a calm ambiance with good vibes and of course, great coffee. I ordered a cappuccino and was very happy with it. In addition, the staff were very kind to me, especially considering my french is quite bad. They were respectful and friendly :) The wifi is also readily available and accessible via the password posted on the walls in various places. Perfect for working, studying, catching up with friends, or going on a date. Merci Hélène et Madeleine! ❤️☕️💌
