20/09/2025: We ate at La Gabare last night with my partner and her mother. It's always so good and plentiful. The restaurant is for sale, I hope it's just a passing idea because we would miss the kindness, the atmosphere, the quality of the dishes and their great generosity. It's the second time I've had the mountain burger and I'm enjoying it so much that I hope to be able to eat more next year. And if the restaurant sells anyway, we'll follow Cathy, the owner, in her projects which we hope won't be too far off.

15/09/2025: Very pleasant welcome, restaurant with a view of the Dordogne. I ordered the vegan plate ☺️ a killer with the mint sauce I loved it. Very generous and very tasty plate. I highly recommend it

25/08/2025: A small evening meal at this inn. A warm welcome, simple and delicious cuisine. The farm produce is delicious and inexpensive. Originally from Lorraine, I found the mirabelle plum tart delicious! ;-) I highly recommend it!

27/10/2025: We had a wonderful time with Paganis Catering for our wedding last September! All the guests and we had a wonderful time. Our two servers were adorable! Exceptionally kind. I'm deducting one star for the haphazard communication (several emails sent to the wrong address / quotes in the wrong names even though we requested corrections several times).

11/12/2025: Large parking lot nearby. Good atmosphere and quiet around 2 PM. Efficient and friendly service.

12/10/2025: In an absolutely magnificent setting, we had lunch on the terrace, allowing us to enjoy the scenery while enjoying delicious, beautifully presented dishes. The welcome and service reflected the cuisine: discreet and warm. A wonderful time and a wonderful discovery!

01/12/2025: Bistro and old-fashioned cuisine: what a pleasure to find atmosphere and good traditional dishes that are too often forgotten (calf's head).

24/11/2025: A lovely, small very local place with an engaging staff and terrific food. Beer and wine selections were outstanding. Fries with a seasoned mayo sauce were clearly handmade and delicious. A platter of pate, thinly sliced smoked sausage and cured ham were exceptional.

11/12/2025: Hello, Once again, a problem with this McDonald's... I bought a CBO extra cheddar meal and of course, when I got home, I discovered that the cheddar cheese was missing... impossible to call the restaurant, no one answers. Quite a few recurring problems at this restaurant.

16/01/2026: We were looking for a venue for a wedding and had spotted this restaurant, which was visually appealing and had good reviews. A visit was therefore in order. Reception & Service: Polite but distant service, a waiter who wasn't very friendly and seemed to ignore us. Food: A huge disappointment. Steak and fries: Overcooked fries, tough meat. No steak knife, a real hassle; we had to ask for one. Steak tartare: Adequate, but served with the same disappointing fries. Child's hamburger: Ordered medium-rare, served raw in the center; sent back to the kitchen, it came back overcooked. Result: We barely ate anything. Child's dessert: An ice cream cone with a wafer so soft it was difficult to cut. I was the only one who finished my main course (slow-cooked veal), which thankfully turned out well. Atmosphere & Comfort: The dining room wasn't heated enough, which didn't help the experience. Verdict: A place that started off well, but the most important thing—the meal—fell short. Very disappointing, especially considering we were looking for a restaurant for an important occasion.

28/12/2025: Comforting hot chocolate in a beautiful setting at a very reasonable price, served with a warm smile. The homemade foie gras is delicious... I can't wait to experience the restaurant now.

03/10/2025: Sophie and Hélène continue to make this place a benchmark in Saint-Jean-d'Angely. Delicious cuisine, excellent atmosphere, attentive service—it's all there!

04/09/2025: A charming restaurant with a unique tapas-style atmosphere. The food combinations are original. The service is very friendly, and the price-quality ratio is excellent.

21/11/2025: A well-located shop in Lyon's old town, offering good quality ice cream and crepes. Outdoor seating is available in the summer.

16/11/2025: Hot chocolate so thick it was like hot ice cream you could eat with a spoon. Undrinkable (or inedible).

04/12/2025: From the outside, the place didn't look like much, but since my friend from Burgundy had given it a good recommendation, I went in anyway. And I don't regret it at all! It's fast food, but homemade, with good ingredients and original offerings! I ended up choosing the Bourguignonne Poutine, and I have no words to describe how delicious it was! To say it was a real treat is an understatement; it was truly wonderful. It's clear that for my next trips to Dijon, I already know where I'm going to eat...
