30/08/2026: A lovely place, but what a disappointment considering the numerous rave reviews! The setting is undeniably beautiful, with its antique tiles and historical charm, and we received a warm welcome. But otherwise, we were unfortunately far from the exceptional experience we were expecting. The prices are high, comparable to those of much more renowned Parisian restaurants, while the portions are rather modest and the food, while not bad, really didn't seem to justify the price. The gap between the establishment's reputation, its very impressive presentation, and what actually ends up on the plate is quite surprising. The service also left us perplexed: extremely rushed, even though the restaurant was far from full. We barely had time to leave the table for a few minutes before the main courses were served, and then dessert arrived almost immediately. We got the distinct impression, on a Saturday night, that the main goal was simply to finish service quickly: by 9:30 pm, almost everyone had already left. Even the atmosphere seemed incongruous with the magnificent decor. The waiter's rather peculiar attire and a somewhat incongruous playlist gave us a strange feeling in a place that claims to be authentic. In short, it's not bad, and the setting is definitely worth a visit. But given the prices and reputation, we expected much better. Our impression, unfortunately, is of a restaurant that relies heavily on its decor and image, with a value for money that we found very disappointing. A tourist trap… certainly in a pretty setting, but a tourist trap nonetheless.

30/08/2026: This place is terrible. The other reviews must be bought. We had to pay for the reservation and the restaurant was empty when we arrived. The cheese on the French onion soup wasn't even melted. The steak was tough, overcooked, and the poorest quality of beef. DO NOT COME HERE!

23/08/2026: I highly recommend it, both for the quality of the service and the cocktails. P.S.: A special mention for the waiter who was incredibly kind after I had one too many! 🥸

18/08/2026: It's always a pleasure to grab a drink at Gob before heading to the cinema next door (seriously, it's only 10 steps away) or for a game night with friends. I'm a huge fan of their online ordering site and their cleverly named cocktails.

14/08/2026: We spent a few days in Belle Plagne and only went to Cheyenne for a drink. But we received a very warm welcome every time; the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. In the evenings, with the seasonal workers who often hang out there, it's a chance to chat, share experiences, and enjoy a pleasant and safe atmosphere. Thanks to the waitresses, to Pauline who clearly knows how to choose her staff well, and to Salomé for the smiles and the tastings 😏

20/08/2026: Warning: service quality has declined. We waited 25 minutes even though it was quiet around 1 p.m. The burgers arrived cold, and after returning them, we waited another 25 minutes for a result that wasn't much better.

27/08/2026: As a regular customer of this establishment, I was truly disappointed by my visit on August 26th. Usually, we experience a very friendly atmosphere, a clean place, and a warm welcome. Today it was the complete opposite, and I was genuinely surprised. Dirty tables, a very cold welcome from the two saleswomen, and bagels assembled very clumsily. Not to mention the conversations that had no place in their workplace. Knowing the high standards of this establishment, I hope my next visit will be a return to normal.

26/08/2026: Friendly staff 😃. Tables not cleaned and pigeons nearby, yes, inside. Thanks for the hygiene. Toilet available but outdated sink that malfunctions. Too many posters and good stories.

10/09/2026: One star is a fair price, if you have the audacity to serve a Belgian "Ciney" beer on tap, at least use a suitable glass, not a Paulaner mug which is not intended for it. Please train your waitresses next time because for a beer lover this is like drinking a good Bordeaux from a mustard glass!

09/09/2026: Hello, I visited Alençon yesterday and at lunchtime, I had lunch at the Bar Brasserie La Magdeleine. I had a chicken fillet with Normandy sauce and fries, and a crème brûlée. It was excellent, and I received a warm welcome. If I have the chance, I'll definitely go back. Go check it out! Thank you.

24/09/2026: What initially attracted us was the vintage feel! We just wanted a charcuterie board, and a table on the terrace was waiting for us :) The chocolate mousse with a hint of orange was delicious, and the pear charlotte deserved a double dose of crème anglaise—I have a sweet tooth! A very pleasant moment
