10/07/2025: Very disappointed with this McDonald's. Forgetting orders is unfortunately very common, and the waiting time is endless, even when there are not many people. But what shocks me the most is the manager's attitude: when we call to report an oversight, we are treated like liars and were told "my colleague is sure of himself." What a shame! Knowing that I had just come back because a happy meal had just been forgotten! Do you really think that's all I have to do? Waste time calling, eat cold food, just for two happy meal desserts that I wanted to cheat?! What nonsense! Having worked in a McDonald's myself, I know how essential it is to respect customers, to recognize your mistakes and to apologize. Here, we are far from the minimum service. It's a shame that you're the only one in Amboise, because this lack of professionalism really doesn't make me want to come back. I really don't like leaving negative reviews, but here we're really making fun of the customers! A real rethink is needed.

17/10/2025: The tents were basic, and since it was the end of the season, the food was limited. Clothes got damp. Drying facilities were limited to dryers, and there were no rooms. Wi-Fi was only available in the common room.

03/10/2025: We have visited every year in a campervan for more than 10 years and the campsite is consistently welcoming and good value for money. You can pick your own secluded pitch and the toilets, showers and washing up areas are clean but you need to bring your own toilet paper. Plenty of trees, red squirrels and birds. Often a large group of youngsters at the surf camp on site, but they are friendly and no trouble. The walk to the beach has been refurbished this year and it has injected a new lease of life into the area. The beach is gorgeous however, the sea is really not suitable for children with huge crashing waves, strong currents and a steep shelf.

17/01/2026: Drive-thru visit: 2 Happy Meals and neither with dessert! (Just apples to nibble on) Prices are up and they're missing items. The taste was very poor, I won't be going back.

12/02/2026: We stopped by Starbucks Montmartre to warm up and recharge with my bestie, McGiver. I had a hot cappuccino while he went for the pistachio latte and a brownie. As expected, the coffee and desserts were delicious and consistent with what you hope for from Starbucks. The building itself feels cozy and it’s a convenient place to sit down, relax, and charge your devices for a bit, which we really appreciated during our day out. The only downside was that the space wasn’t very tidy at the time of our visit, and we noticed some litter around. With a bit more attention to cleanliness, the experience would be even better. Overall, still a handy and comfortable stop for good drinks and a quick break.

11/02/2026: A place of peace and relaxation in Montmartre. Nothing beats a good, relaxing coffee after a busy day to unwind. Those moments are worth their weight in gold.

29/06/2025: Disappointing. We expected a place where the service and quality of the products were up to scratch, but this was not the case. A simple sandwich was bland and the filling was not generous.

26/12/2025: After two cancellations without apologies or discounts, we finally managed to eat at the restaurant. The dining room was poorly heated, and we were cold all evening. The meal was good, but nothing special for a Michelin-starred establishment. Other restaurants in the Gien area are worth recommending; they are less expensive, better, and offer more elaborate menus.
