17/09/2026: Breakfast was good, although I found it a bit pricey for what it was. However, the waiter was extremely aggressive and rude, which really spoiled the experience. It's a shame, because the welcome and service make all the difference between one café and another.

18/05/2026: Magnificent hotel. Spacious and comfortable room. The staff is pleasant, very friendly, and helpful. The pool, the spa, and the proximity to the town center are all excellent. If you're passing through Contrexéville, book this hotel!

12/05/2026: We spent five days at this hotel near the Contrexéville thermal baths and have wonderful memories of our stay. The building is magnificent, full of charm, and very well maintained. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive throughout our stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Special mention also goes to the restaurant: the meals were excellent and the service was top-notch. We had a very relaxing and pleasant stay. We recommend this hotel without hesitation and will gladly return.

23/08/2026: Visited this wonderful wine shop at the start of August. What a wonderful owner. Really knowledable. Great English too all considering. Got a lovely unusual chateauneuf du pape white which you can not purchase in the UK. Was worth every effort getting it back to the UK. I couldn't recommend enough. Thank you!!

27/07/2026: Stopped by for a bottle of champagne. The owner recommended a great 2006 Castlenau, and even chilled it for us to pick up later while we walked around.

21/09/2026: Another McDonald's blunder. Ordered: 1 Chicken Caesar at the drive-thru. Received: 1 Chicken Caesar WITHOUT chicken. To err is human, but at the drive-thru, it's impossible to check the ingredients of your salad and impossible to go back, especially after the time already wasted. McDonald's, you need to improve your quality control... because the price paid doesn't match the meal ordered. McDonald's is always more expensive with less service... Profit... profit... profit. Arrive... as you are... leave like suckers! Just a few meters away, there's Burger King with a Chicken Caesar + drink = €9.90. More varied salads and less expensive. Faster drive-thru and rarely mistakes on the order.

14/09/2026: I had a few beers with two really nice guys, the man behind the bar was super friendly and a true proprietor, the kind you don't see anymore (a bald man, I can't remember his name, sorry). I was just passing through to look at some houses in the area. We're arriving in the region at the end of October, but I'll definitely be back. Great atmosphere, no pressure, great music. An "old-school" bar, but the kind of bar you want to last forever because they're the best, actually!

11/05/2026: Not even worried about my bag being stolen 😉 even though the place is easily recognizable. The atmosphere is relaxed and the prices are affordable for students in the area.
