24/05/2026: We had booked for 11 people several weeks in advance (we're not from Beaune and were there for a stag/hen party). Upon arrival, we discovered a sign indicating exceptional closure. Not a problem in itself, but we hadn't been informed beforehand.

16/05/2026: Because our hotel is nearby, we've been here quite often in recent years and were prepared for relatively high prices. That's quite common in Beaune. However, today it was so outrageous that we've decided never to return. It took ten minutes just to place our order at the bar, where we were practically ignored. During that time, guests sitting at the bar were, of course, immediately served freshly poured beers upon request. Then the waiter came and brought the drinks to our table: red wine in a dirty glass and beer. After we complained, the wine was poured from the dirty glass into a half-dirty glass covered in limescale from the dishwasher. Then came the bill: €41 for two half-liter beers and two red wines. After an irritated inquiry, the price was reduced to €36 because they had charged us for the more expensive wine without asking! The meager amount of wine served was already €12 expensive, and the €15 charged was simply exorbitant. Never again!

30/06/2026: So, on the day of the France/Sweden match, I had the chance to run into Mégane and her team again!!! Superb welcome, thank you again!!! And go Les Bleus!!!

14/06/2026: This restaurant is a disaster: reservation at 7:15 pm, order taken at 7:55 pm, two rib-eye steaks ordered: cooked medium. Look at the picture. It's anything but a rib-eye. What's more, the waiter asks, "The cut of beef?" Practically inedible. Doggy bag for my dog. At €33 for a rib-eye, that's outrageous! Really disappointed. And the restaurant was nearly empty considering its capacity!

02/03/2026: 1. A bar with rock music and a stylish bartender. It was cozy in the first spring sunshine. Saved for next time. Unfortunately, only a fraction of the beers on the blackboard were available.

01/07/2026: Upon arrival, I was greeted by overflowing trash cans (both inside and out), a dirty floor, and half the self-service kiosks out of order. My order was simple: a meal deal, a burger, and some nuggets. A server brought me my tray. I noticed the ice was missing and asked for some. My drink was brought back. I tried a nugget; the topping was so dry it crumbled. I tried a sauce to try and fix it, but they hadn't given me any, so I got up to look for them. I tried a fry: they were cold/lukewarm and clearly had been left in the colander/drip tray for quite some time. I struggled to finish my meal. The entire McDonald's model needs a complete overhaul. The new organization means less time for the dining area, and this is noticeable in almost every McDonald's. Furthermore, do the managers still have enough time for quality control, or are they adequately trained to manage the restaurants? Having worked in fast food for your competitors, nothing I saw yesterday would have been acceptable… And back then, 20 euros was enough to get a decent meal with respectable service. In any case, McDonald's France has serious problems. Just go to Kehl, or Switzerland, to see for yourself: it's a completely different story… The ever-increasing prices for lower or equivalent quality are becoming harder to swallow. Sacrificing the customer for the benefit of the shareholder is rarely a good thing.

30/06/2026: Absolutely atrocious experience!! This is the third time I've come to this restaurant while my daughter is hospitalized at Hautepierre, and it's the second time my order hasn't been complete. Today I ordered a Happy Meal with a toy. When I returned to the hospital room after a 40-minute walk (round trip), the toy was missing. Huge disappointment for my daughter 😔 I called the restaurant to express my dissatisfaction, and the staff member I explained the situation to told me to come back immediately, even though I repeatedly told him that I only come when my child is hospitalized and therefore hoped not to have to return. The last compensation offered: come back for a free dessert. This kind of attitude, devoid of any empathy, is disgusting. One last thing: how is it that every time takeout orders are incomplete, one or more items are missing, but NEVER an extra item?? Could this have been unintentionally deliberate…?

To owner: share CCTV footage to prove your made up story. Taste: 0/5 Customer Service: 0/5 Professionalism: 0/5 Atmosphere: 0/5 Me and my family made the mistake of visiting this place and were treated with hostility from the moment we walked in. We were criticised for feeding a baby milk, spoken to rudely, accused of not being “real customers” despite buying drinks, complained about because our supervised 3 year old briefly touched display items, and eventually made to feel so unwelcome that we left. We were even told we were taking up too many seats despite being the only customers there. The staff member became aggressive enough that we genuinely felt unsafe. To top it all off, the drinks were terrible. Detailed review: I rarely leave reviews, but after our experience at Café Madam, I feel compelled to warn others. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming. While ordering, we politely asked whether it would be okay to feed my 7 month old nephew milk while we were there. The staff gave no objection, apart from a brief smile from an older staff member, so we assumed there was no issue. While waiting for our drinks, we looked at the jewellery and accessories displayed around the café. My 3 year old nephew was naturally curious and occasionally picked things up, but every time he did, we immediately put them back and reminded him not to touch them and supervised throughout. Once we sat down, my sister fed her baby milk and my dad had a coffee purchased from there. He also had a sandwich he had bought from the cafe opposite (French B******s: highly recommend - amazing staff and food!) The younger staff member then approached us in a very rude and aggressive manner and told us not to eat outside food. My elderly dad low BP, having had nothing to eat (in a heatwave), is hard of hearing with limited English. We had to translate for him and by the time he understood, he had taken a few more bites. This seemed to make the staff member even angrier and the situation quickly escalated. My dad felt so uncomfortable that he left to finish his breakfast elsewhere. The rest of us stayed with our drinks, my nephew's milkshake and the baby's bottle. We were then told that we were "not customers" because we had only bought two drinks and were supposedly taking up "10 seats" despite only using a few. What made even less sense was that the café wasn't busy at all. Throughout the entire incident, we were practically the only customers there and plenty of empty seats available. Things became even stranger when the staff member rudely moved the baby's bottle off the table menu and began to complain that "the boy and we were touching everything". Everything being the merch being sold. When I explained that he was only 3 years old, she shouted that her own 3 year old child was much better behaved (doubtful). The situation became increasingly hostile. We were also criticised for feeding the baby milk, which was particularly shocking. At one point, the staff member became so aggressive that we felt genuinely uncomfortable and unsafe. She kept insisting she was “at work,” yet couldn’t control her behaviour or language. When we asked her to be professional, she charged at my sister with her finger pointed, forcing an older staff member to intervene and calm her down. When we challenged the behaviour and said it felt discriminatory, she responded "I'm Arab, I can't be racist, stupid!" We are a British-Pakistani Muslim family from Manchester, UK and have travelled extensively around the world. We have never experienced anything remotely like this. To make matters worse, the drinks were awful and we couldn't even finish them. And the biggest irony is we mistook it for Café Madame on Rue de Vaugirard. Overall, it was an unprofessional experience that left us unwelcome and shocked. I would not recommend visiting, ever.

10/06/2026: This is the fourth time we've been there in the last two months or so. On all four occasions, there have been oversights, including one time when they mixed up our orders... The compensation was very meager despite these multiple oversights—just a few sauces, and no real apology. I find this particularly deplorable; it's the only fast food place where we've had so many problems/errors. It's a real shame...

03/06/2026: Thanks to a supposedly foolproof system to ensure nothing is left out of the order, I stopped checking the bags... Big mistake, since my partner's box of 20 Chicken McNuggets was missing. A 40 km drive back to get what we paid for... Considering the price of gas and a McDonald's meal, it's outrageous!

18/05/2026: Small bar with a nice decor. A minor drawback, though, was the cocktail: a gin and basil that had been recommended to me, but which, for me, lacked sufficient flavor and balance.
