12/09/2026: A company that hires young people for summer jobs and treats them like dirt. The bosses are incredibly vicious; they think they can get away with anything and speak to the young people terribly. And to top it all off, some of the female managers think they can do whatever they want… you should look elsewhere instead of hiding there; the so-called manager status is going to your head. Avoid at all costs.

10/09/2026: We came to the drive-thru at 5:15 PM on Sunday for just a large drink and an ice cream, but we had to wait over 30 minutes even though there was no one ahead of us. We left the drive-thru at 5:45 PM. Customers inside arrived well after us and left in less than 15 minutes. And when we asked a trainer if there would be a long wait for just a drink and an ice cream, they had the nerve to tell us, "Yes, there will be a long wait." Isn't that a joke, seriously, considering that drinks are made automatically at the drive-thru? The three employees at the counter, just milling around chatting and laughing, certainly didn't seem overwhelmed to be making just one McFlurry. We find this deplorable. So after 30 minutes the ice cubes in the drink, which was already prepared, had melted and was hot.

06/09/2026: I went to the McDonald's in Lesparre after work, and there was a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes. The person who pays is very unpleasant, and you end up with a cold meal and a flat Fanta. If you can't get there in the afternoon, it's better to close and open only at lunchtime in the evening.

19/09/2026: The wait at the drive-thru was enormous (and there were only two customers), and the service was appalling. They forgot my dessert, and despite proof, the staff denied it and offered no compensation. The fries were soggy, and everything was barely hot. I do not recommend this place; it's not the first time this has happened to me.

29/06/2026: I just went to the drive-thru at 3:15 pm to get a vanilla milkshake and a coke with ice cubes ahah, thanks to the lady at the drive-thru for putting in so many ice cubes thanks to you, the best coke I've ever had in this heat.

26/06/2026: They forgot ALL the sauces in the order, and the food arrived cold in the middle of a heatwave—unbelievable! A huge lack of professionalism.

24/08/2026: We were the only ones dining in, but the wait was very long. There were bits of scale on the shrimp, which hadn't been cleaned properly. The salads were expensive for the portion size, and there were also grains of sand in the lettuce leaves that crunched in your mouth. The staff seemed extremely stressed with two tables, and there was a billing error. Everyone seemed to be in training. In short, disappointing overall, but the location is excellent and the terrace is lovely. We didn't try the coffees or macarons.

22/08/2026: How can you have only one server for 50 covers on a packed August afternoon during the Hop Festival? We got seats and menus very quickly, but after a while, waiting 30 minutes to order is unacceptable. We ended up leaving because we still hadn't been able to order; it's a shame, the desserts looked delicious. This rating therefore reflects the quality of the service, not the quality of the food. We hope for a better experience next time.

25/08/2026: Convenient and quick, these McDonald's

25/08/2026: Very dirty toilets. Extremely long wait, incomplete order. Overworked staff. Four years after my comment, I'm very sorry to see that nothing has changed. 40 minutes to be served and over 20 minutes standing at the counter waiting for ice cream I wouldn't even buy. I will report this to higher management.

08/09/2026: We made le cafe noir our daily stop off when cycling from our campsite to Noirmoutier. The atmosphers is very relaxed and peefect to unwind a d take in the surroundings. The food is varied and delicious. The service is excellent and the staff understood english as our french is poor.

08/09/2026: I first knew Café Noir several decades ago when we used to come here every summer for our holidays. It was a well-maintained place. Attentive staff, a piano that often resonated when a customer played it... the welcome was excellent, and the service was too. It was the place to be on the island! What a disappointment now. The prices, the service, the welcome, and the overcrowded terrace... a lot of work needs to be done in every area. We left after a long wait that only gave us time to look at the menu... the prices are unjustified. I really don't recommend it.
