19/02/2026: Good evening. I'm writing this review with a rumbling stomach, and the service left much to be desired. I've never experienced such a complicated order-taking process at the drive-thru. I think the person was on a work experience placement; I was served four fish burgers instead of four cheeseburgers, despite the 15-minute wait. I didn't expect mistakes to happen. However, I was pleasantly surprised when they gave me sparkling water instead of Fanta. Despite all that, you still manage to add an extra charge for late-night orders! Well done, McDonald's Gerland, you are officially the worst McDonald's in Lyon. Sincerely, I won't be back, not even under threat. Avoid at all costs!

16/02/2026: The bus station is 800 meters away; we wanted to go there for a hot drink, but after 11 pm you're stuck outside even if there are still customers inside. Useless.

16/01/2026: I had the best burger I've ever had here! They're also huge and full of flavor. The burger with brie is definitely recommended!!!

03/01/2026: The food is good, but we had severe food poisoning on Friday afternoon, January 2nd. We were really disappointed because we wanted to eat there one last time before it closed and have a nice time at a restaurant I used to really enjoy. Unfortunately, it was ruined.

14/04/2026: It's noted that McDonald's closes at midnight, without specifying that this only applies to the drive-thru and that the dining room closes before 10 PM. The drive-thru is incredibly slow; even when you're the only customer, you have to wait at least 10 minutes. Finally, I don't understand how they can be out of "crunchy" snacks when there are only three kinds (KitKat, M&Ms, Daim)...

10/02/2026: I arrived with my colleague at 6:03 PM on a Friday. The bar was practically empty. After walking several kilometers, we decided to sit on the terrace. My colleague ordered a beer. As for me, wanting to stay energized since we still had a long drive ahead of us, I simply ordered a coffee. The waiter, visibly annoyed, curtly explained that he no longer served hot drinks after 6:00 PM (I remind you, it was 6:03 PM). I then asked him if tea would be possible (boiling water and putting in a tea bag didn't seem like an unreasonable request). The waiter stared at me for almost a minute, then replied condescendingly: "So, I'll repeat myself, since you don't seem to have understood: I NO LONGER SERVE HOT DRINKS AFTER 6:00 PM." As a result, I didn't order anything. We decided to laugh it off and leave, but the experience was frankly unpleasant. If you're looking for a welcoming place to have a drink, I strongly advise you to avoid this place. Reading other reviews, I see that this waiter seems to be consistently rude, especially to people he considers "foreigners." And since leaving a review on Google isn't easy, the establishment receives much higher ratings than the welcome and service actually deserve.

05/04/2026: I got sick; I had food poisoning from the box of 20 nuggets. He wasn't wearing gloves, and there was no communication.

04/04/2026: Hi, not much to report except that bringing an electric scooter into the establishment is outrageous. Anyway, management should review their rules and be more vigilant about this, because we frequent various fast-food restaurants and this is the first time we've seen this anywhere else. These scooters are outside, locked up or not.

07/04/2026: We arrived as a group of 8, received a great welcome, and the kebab was very generous. The service was quick.

02/04/2026: Order placed via Uber Eats. Two maxi meals: tacos and kebab, both with extras. Tacos without sauce, full of onions, a normal size for an XL, compared to before when they were free (even though I paid extra). Kebab without extras, but the bread was slightly overcooked… Very disappointed. I've been a customer for a while, but I'm stopping because it's bordering on a scam…

20/03/2026: This is the second time I've ordered from Edessa via Uber Eats, and both times there's been a mistake with the meat and sauce selection: minced steak instead of kefta. The steak was tasteless and unseasoned. I ordered curry sauce, but I received a flavorless white sauce. A huge disappointment.
