22/03/2026: It's getting worse and worse; the quality really needs improvement, and the staff is just incredibly unpleasant. Just look at their responses to critical reviews. I tried one last time, but that's it.

18/01/2026: The waitress has no humanity and is especially haughty and aggressive in her way of speaking. She doesn't even say hello and looks at you as if you're not welcome. I've never seen anything like it in my life. This waitress doesn't like her job.

04/05/2026: A disaster. We were treated like dogs at a bowling alley by a landlady as unbearable as her pitcher of white wine (no wine list). The pizzas were soggy and greasy. We left hungry.

22/03/2026: Thanks for the food poisoning. Besides the fact that we didn't like the pizzas, we were all sick the next morning (10 people).

12/06/2026: The place is particularly ugly. This wouldn't be so bad if the atmosphere made up for it. However, the owner is very unpleasant, and his obvious lack of interest in his work seems to rub off on his entire team, even the newest recruits. To have such a privileged position, practically a monopoly no less, and yet show such contempt for his customers is shameful.

12/06/2026: Stopped here on our way to Poitiers in the recent blistering heat. We were greeted by a lovely friendly waitress, think her name was Marie, who , after my school boy attempt at French replied in perfect English! I had the steak and chips which was cooked to perfection, wife and future daughter in law had the chicken and chips which were well portioned and tasty, while the son had the black pudding sausages which were very tasty as well. Service was spot on , enough time to enjoy a drink and food and a nice gap before dessert , tarte tatin which was lovely. Price was reasonable and value for money. Would happily visit here again if we ever venture out this way , merci beaucoup !

19/04/2026: Honestly, a wonderful discovery! 😍 The food here is more than just good: the portions are generous, well-filled, and all at very reasonable prices. It's a pleasure to find a place where quality and quantity are both present without breaking the bank. Special mention to the waitress who manages absolutely everything single-handedly, and always with a smile! 👏 You can tell she's courageous, dedicated, and truly committed to her work. Despite the busy schedule, she remains pleasant and attentive, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. A simple, authentic restaurant where you feel comfortable and leave with a full stomach and a happy heart. I highly recommend it! We'll be back to eat here on our next visit to your beautiful region.

31/05/2026: A disaster! This is supposed to be a "fast food" place! A 35-minute wait for two Big Macs and two fries! What a joke, go to a restaurant and you'll save time!

04/05/2026: Everything is much more expensive (on average €3 more than elsewhere). Are we on the Champs-Élysées? No, in Haguenau, but you pay €3.20 for a can of beer, €16 for a plate, and almost €10 for all the sandwiches. Elsewhere, you get a plate for €13 and a can of beer for €2, so €15, or a kebab meal for €11. It's a shame, it used to be much better, and it was right across from Megarex.

26/04/2026: I ate a kebab, there was hardly any meat inside, very expensive for the price, and on top of that, I got stomach pains. Never go back there, they're profiteers.

11/06/2026: Booking in advance to be sure of eating at what was supposedly a good restaurant!! Well, not at all. For an aperitif, there was no option for appetizers or charcuterie boards, only tapas with olive oil (not ideal for allergies), then four butcher's cuts (sirloin steaks) with fries. We were served four hanger steaks with new potatoes; the dessert was decent. Then, to top it all off, they added a €30 error to the bill. No attempt at compensation, outrageous prices. For the quality, on the Île d'Oléron, we know how to do better and for less. It's a shame to treat visitors like cash cows.

10/06/2026: Okay... the view of Lyon is nice 👀. BUT THAT'S NOT EVERYTHING 😟. The whole team was great at welcoming and serving 👍😀. However, I found the menu minimalist 🍽🍷, the dishes arrived almost cold, and the price is relatively high 💰💰💰. A shame for such a renowned establishment.

16/05/2026: Hello, We were so disappointed with our visit to Maurice's. First, we found out our account had been deleted and they didn't even offer to create a new one. Then there was the PRICE!!! We ordered two Pepper Burger meals with fries, desserts, and drinks. The price displayed for the meal deal is misleading. The fries, drinks, and dessert are extra on top of the burger price. So it's no longer a meal deal. Plus, the fries were cold. It all adds up... We'll think twice before coming back.
