27/05/2026: This is my second visit to this café in the space of a week! It's ideal for being with a group (while talking quietly) or alone (to work or relax). The drinks and dessert menu is excellent; I highly recommend the tiramisu ;). It's also a place where you can chat with strangers about cats. Big hugs to Cookie and Zazou who helped me with my work!! 😘 The staff is very friendly; I really love this place.

We regret the disappearance of the French toast-style brioche from the menu; it was absolutely divine (but perhaps it will return? ;-) ). Update June 2026: This French toast-style brioche is back on the menu and just as generous as ever, yum yum! The dining room is a bit noisy, but we happily return because the prices are very reasonable. While this place is a must-visit in Montreuil, the 5th star will be well-deserved when the tables are cleaner...

22/07/2026: It's very convenient for a quick lunch or even for eating alone. I like their service, but the food isn't as good as it used to be. I still go back from time to time because it's convenient, quick, and the meals are balanced.

19/04/2026: Friendly and welcoming, whenever I want to unwind, you can be sure to find me there. I go dancing alone, and it's the best place where you can feel completely safe. The welcome and service are impeccable; all the employees, as well as the owner, are incredibly pleasant. I highly recommend it. After posting my review, I saw a comment below from a woman who said, "If you're alone, never go there... you have to be easy or something..." Well, I've always gone to the balafon alone, I've always danced alone from beginning to end (yes, I love to dance) without being bothered during the evening (yes, sometimes people ask me to dance, but a simple NO is enough). I've always gotten home without any problems, even though I live more than 15 km away and had to catch the first bus. I'm the tall, slim brunette who arrived first and left last. See you very soon 🤗

08/02/2026: This place is fantastic, pleasant, and friendly. The owner and all her employees are very helpful and welcoming. Good atmosphere. That's why I don't understand why they were closed last night, February 7th, 2026. If anyone has an answer, please let me know? Hoping it's a temporary closure.

17/07/2026: A very pleasant little lunch break. We were with two children, and they immediately offered us a board game to keep them entertained. The person who served us was smiling and friendly. We received a very warm welcome. Thank you! The meal was simple but very good. We all enjoyed it. We highly recommend this little restaurant!

24/05/2026: Unfortunately, the service seemed visibly annoyed and not very welcoming. Even asking if they spoke English or German was met with a dismissive attitude, which immediately led to misunderstandings. Other guests ended up having to translate, which was awkward. It's a shame, because the café itself is actually quite nice.
