04/09/2026: A real disgrace to the Subway franchise. I went to this restaurant for a friend's birthday and was appalled by the overall condition of the place. Despite the staff's efforts, the managers seem intent on bankrupting their restaurant by perpetuating the deplorable hygiene.

Everything is very fresh, the service is incredibly attentive and friendly—it's a real pleasure! It's a bit pricey, but it's fresh, well-prepared, and, above all, right across from the train station, so... Regarding the chocolate mousse, I agree with a previous review; it's not very good because it's made with milk chocolate, unfortunately 🥲

13/09/2026: Delicious meals. Everything is homemade, and you can taste the difference. The dining room is very quiet, and the service is quick and attentive. We come back often.

02/08/2026: Lunchtime was fine. Evenings, not so good! For a 90th birthday celebration, you can't linger; the welcoming smile has disappeared, the water bottles are handed out reluctantly, and you don't leave late, not until 12:30 a.m. A shame.

14/08/2026: We went on a day when there were no other customers, and when we arrived, the person who greeted us seemed annoyed at having us there and answered everything very rudely. To be honest, once we left, their attitude changed, but the food was excellent. The anticucho with rachi, the stuffed potato, was delicious, and the mussels and tamale were very good.

11/07/2026: We were still waiting for our salmon starter, over an hour at the table, without anyone even checking on us. We called the waiter who told us the salmon had vanished into thin air! A complete farce, the owner completely unfazed... We paid for the wine and left without having dinner. Avoid at all costs!

14/09/2026: We're regulars! Ever since Gaëlle's time! I book a week in advance for 10 people, asking to be seated wherever we wanted. We arrive, and we're not seated where I wanted. I didn't say anything! We came back a second time, and the same thing happened!!!! So I don't think that's nice, especially when you book a week, even 10 days in advance, and you're a regular with 10 people! I wanted to say it was better when Gaëlle was there; the atmosphere was better. The waitresses were fantastic and very attentive. What a shame that Gaëlle is no longer running Ilot Bar. She was amazing and especially attentive to her customers. She created a great atmosphere and knew how to seat them exactly where we wanted. Gaëlle was a remarkable professional! The new manager is completely unprofessional! She should find another job! I hope she won't be running L'Effet Mer in December!!

However, I wonder if I'm just getting unlucky every time, or if these are the standard portion sizes for fries at McDonald's now? It's disappointing, and we end up going to the competition because, for the same price, we get more...

26/08/2026: The Big Mac tasted like coffee; I don't know if the sauce has changed, but I thought I'd mention it. The bun on the 280 wasn't completely thawed, however, the fries, potatoes, and wrap were very good. The restroom was clean.

19/08/2026: Very good pizzas with generous toppings. However, the wait was very long for August 15th; you had to be patient. More than 10 phone calls (all ringing unanswered) before they finally deigned to pick up, and over an hour's wait. But August 15th in Royan is something else!

06/08/2026: Excellent pizzas. And the desserts are also very good. We go there every summer during our stay in Royan.

16/09/2026: Worst McDonald's on the French Riviera, unpleasant staff, inedible burger, cold, tasteless. Bitter staff, you can clearly see that the employees don't want to be there. It's almost like they're bothering us to come and eat.
