16/06/2025: Very tasty dishes and an excellent wine list. The amuse were top! The dishes were super tasty and the presentation was a feast for the eyes. Delicious homemade amuses were served with the coffee. Very friendly service. We will gladly return.

20/01/2025: We had an excellent stay at the Grand Hôtel Roi René. The room was very nicely decorated with the added bonus of L'Occitane products. The plus: a large terrace! The service was excellent. When we arrived, we were greeted by Lisa who was very professional, friendly and gave good advice. The restaurant left us with a memorable memory, the dishes being equally succulent as each other, from starter to dessert, and the service was efficient and pleasant.
We hope to return soon for more pleasant moments in Aix!

We come from the Var and the menu that we chose, in terms of its quality and price, has nothing to envy of a starred restaurant that we have in the south.
22/09/2024: Very disappointed by the main course, that is to say monkfish "drowned" in a so-called "stuffy" accompaniment, a dish that was much too salty, no vegetables, no presentation.

The Savoyard fondue is excellent.
The vaulted cheese cellar had over 90 cheeses when we visited. Classified in 3 categories from the mildest to the strongest, ideal for making them in order truly a delight.
Good wines to go with it!
Don't forget to book otherwise it's not worth it!

El menú está basado en los distintos tipos de quesos Franceses y vino.
Pedimos una cazuelita de queso fundido, que venía con una tabla de embutidos y patatas asadas y también, por recomendación del camarero, otro queso fundido. Quizá hubieses sido mejor un queso fundido y una tabla de quesos variados, para no ser tan repetitivo de queso fundido.
Los camareros muy amables y educados.

13/10/2024: Este fue un lugar increíble! El servidor hablaba inglés, así que eso ayudó, jajaja! Tuvimos un "correo viejo" y un daiquiri, ambos eran increíbles! Agrega un poco de música de teclas bajas y un lugar tranquilo para hablar y es una gran receta para una experiencia increíble!

And the bartender Alex is a champ! 😁Usually I don't like cocktails, preferring wine. Now I know that cocktails are incredible when prepared from the heart!

It's been a long time since I've been, well it's still so good!
The chicken is real, the bread and the sauce are top notch, the alloco has a ton of it, in short, it's all good. Cheaper than McDonald's and so much better...
Sorry I don't have any photos, I already ate everything, it was so good!
