14/09/2024: The food is excellent! My husband ordered a second time to say! Same children's menu, very good and my dish as well. Well done to the chef. However, what about this blonde-haired lady with an accent? Deplorable welcome, with each of our requests we have the feeling of annoying him. At no time did we feel comfortable because of his haughty behavior towards us. Being a former waitress, I don't understand why the manager of this restaurant doesn't pay more attention to his servers and the kindness they owe to customers. We were never rude to her at any time, we said hello please, a smile, in short we know how to behave! Fortunately a young waitress took over during this service and she was exemplary thank you! I recommend for the quality and taste of the dishes but not for the welcome. We'll try again next summer maybe it will be different 🫠

10/09/2024: St. Jean de Luz. The kind of place where the rhythm of the sea seeps into your soul, where the briny breeze fills the air with promise and possibility. It’s not a place I’d expect to find Pad Thai—especially with rice. Yes, *rice*. But here we are. Maybe I ordered it by accident, perhaps lulled by the charming waitstaff, who unlike what some would have you believe, treated us Americans like old friends. There's this myth that the French despise us, turning their noses up like we’re some bad wine from Alabama. But here, none of that attitude. They were on top of their game, attentive, without being overbearing, which, for anyone who's ever sat in a cafe for half a century waiting for the check, is a feat worth noting. Now, let’s talk about the food. The Pad Thai. With rice. Not sure what cosmic forces aligned to put that on my plate, but there it was, staring back at me. A curious rendition of a Thai classic. At best, it was *fine*—not quite a dish to write home about but also not the culinary disaster one might fear when East meets West in a small French town. The flavors were serviceable, familiar even, but without the fire, the zing that makes Pad Thai sing. The rice, instead of noodles, felt out of place, like a jazz musician at a rock concert. But hey, we all make mistakes and I’m sure it was mine. But the service? Damn, the service was impeccable. Every plate hit the table at the same time. That’s a dance not every restaurant knows the steps to. It's the little things, the small graces that elevate a meal, even if the food doesn’t hit the mark. And in that moment, in that coastal town with a view of the sea, the mishap of ordering rice with my Pad Thai didn’t feel so tragic. It felt like a story, one of those little moments that gives travel its flavor. Would I go back? Maybe not for the Pad Thai. But for the hospitality, the care, and the small joy of being well-treated in a place that could’ve easily been indifferent? Absolutely.

27/09/2024: Accueil et service au top et professionnel. La décoration est subtile. Cannelloni maison excellent et copieux. Agréable de trouver encore ce genre de restaurant. Si nous passons une prochaine fois dans la région ça sera un plaisir d’y revenir.

06/09/2024: A place that is totally part of my routine every week. Everything is excellent. The homemade sweet treats are a success, original cakes, tasty and generously served! The same goes for the savory part, pies and bagels are always perfect. Special mention for me for the fruit and vegetable juices made on the spot and in front of you, ideal for starting your day in the best possible way. Finally, the famous marble cake has not found an equivalent for me. The icing on the cake: the team is great, always smiling, and the new decor enhances the atmosphere.

05/05/2024: Au fil du temps, la pâtisserie de Cyril Lignac a perdu de sa superbe. Très peu de nouveautés chaque saison et celles qui sont présentées ne sont pas au niveau. L entremet abricot à peu d intérêt que ce soit en terme de goût et de texture. De même, le gâteau à la pistache à un visuel très prometteur mais laisse un vide après la dégustation. Certes, il y a un goût de pistache au cœur mais l ensemble et l harmonie n y est pas. Enfin l entremet chocolat, praliné n est pas digne d être vendu chez Cyril Lignac….en manque cruel d inspiration ? Enfin dernier point, parlons des textures. C est des pâtisseries pour personnes édentées que vous proposez ? Je cherche encore le croquant, la surprise, le jeu des textures …. Vous pourrez me dire qu après tant d années il est difficile de se renouveler mais prenez donc conseil sur Michalak qui s en sort haut la main en sortant de sa zone de confort et en proposant à chaque saison des pâtisseries surprenantes et délicieuses. Allez courage Cyril, nous avons confiance en votre talent ! Bref, beaucoup de déception dans mon avis mais cela fait plusieurs fois que je suis déçue

04/05/2024: Je rejoins l'avis de Flores 31 posté en août 2023. J'ai été séduite par le nom de la pâtisserie "entremet à l'abricot" en part individuel et visuellement il faut reconnaître que c'est une réussite. Mais gustativement, je cherche encore le goût de l'abricot... J'ai bien ressenti l'acidité du fruit mais c'est tout😞 Ce même dessert aurait été présenté au "meilleur pâtissier", il aurait été critiqué c'est sûr. Si c'est une question de saison, il serait préférable de ne pas produire des produits à qualité moyenne mais de les proposer aux clients au bon moment pour un résultat parfait.
