31/05/2026: I came on the evening of the Champions League final; the temperature was very high outside, so logically it was also high inside. We had a reservation for 10. The waiter came to ask us what we wanted to order. We ordered and simultaneously asked for a carafe of water because it was VERY HOT, and we were told, "Water is only served with food." Later, we learned that it was actually only the carafe of water that was served with food, but we could have had a glass of water. So, for the second seating, we reordered and asked for two more glasses of water in addition to the ten we had ordered. We were told, "Okay." In the end, no glasses of water. Then came the third seating. We all ordered something except for one person who asked for a glass of water, and they told him, "No, you have to order something." I reminded him that we were on our third seating, had been there for an hour, and it was 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit). We decided not to make a fuss and reordered, asking for one more glass of water, but the order arrived, and still no glass of water. So we asked the owner for a glass of water. "No, guys, we don't serve water," he said. We replied, "What do you mean you have to? It's mandatory!" He responded, "No, you're not going to tell me how to do my job." So we retorted that it was the law, especially in this temperature, and he told us, "If you want, you can get up and go get some, let my waiter do his job." We didn't mind getting up, but he should have told us beforehand, and especially since I don't mean to be disrespectful to the waiter whose job it is to SERVE people. In short, I deplore the owner's tone over a glass of water in 30-degree heat. Finally, before the match started, a pint of beer was advertised as €6 until 9 pm, but at 6 pm, the price had gone back up to €7.50, and the happy hour discount was ultimately removed without explanation or warning before our second order.

22/05/2026: Excellent daily special. Finally, decent fries in this brasserie compared to other brasseries or restaurants in Rouen. Very good fish and chips. Reasonable prices.

18/05/2026: The crepes were very good and generous, the service was quick, friendly, and welcoming, and the atmosphere was also pleasant. Reasonable prices for Place de Jaude.

16/05/2026: The coffee was awful, just dirty water. It was impossible to finish it, no matter how determined we were. I'd recommend the cafeteria coffee instead. The crepes and waffles were dreadful. I wouldn't recommend the cappuccino. It was a complete mess. And on top of that, it was windy!

27/02/2026: Express Kebab in Vannes remains a reliable choice: fresh ingredients, flavorful meat, excellent homemade sauces, and soft bread. The service is prompt and courteous, even late at night, and the value for money is good. The fries could be improved, but overall, it's very satisfying. Highly recommended.

17/04/2026: We arrived at the terrace at 6:30 PM, and by 7:15 PM we still hadn't been served despite my going to the bar to ask to order. I also flagged down a waitress on the terrace a few minutes later, who told me her colleague would be arriving soon. As a result, he ignored us for an hour, and we were never served. I don't blame the two waitresses, but rather the waiter who was assigned to our table. I used to come here often, and I was very disappointed with the service; I won't be back anytime soon.

29/03/2026: Incredible service thanks to Mathieu! Always with a big smile, despite having to climb three flights of stairs for every order, he remains funny, kind, and extremely pleasant. He truly stands out; it's a real pleasure to be served by him. Thank you again!

10/06/2026: I used to come here often, especially for the dessert poke bowls, which were amazing and generously portioned! Now, the dessert poke bowls are pathetic; they're only half full and don't taste anything like they used to. For the price, I'll make them myself. I no longer recommend this place.

23/05/2026: Honestly, if you're looking for a place to have a terrible night out, Le 42 in Lyon is the place to go. The atmosphere is so lifeless you can practically hear the ice melting in your drinks. The decor, all dark, old wood, is incredibly outdated; it looks like a bar stuck in 2002. Between the lifeless music and the atmosphere of a condo owners' meeting on a Monday morning, it's hard to imagine anything less welcoming.

05/04/2026: It's probably a good bar, but the clientele leaves completely drunk and keeps us awake for 3 to 4 hours. There's no regulation or management of these people who shout, smoke, and fight, like again last night...

26/04/2026: Fish and chips were okay unfortunately my dish was a disappointment. There were blue plastic stripes on my plate and the fries were not fried long enough / partly frozen.

Only issue I had was that the toilets inside were possibly the worst I’ve ever seen and behind the bar there were flies around the bread they serve you prior to the meal. I didn’t notice this until the end of my meal when I went inside ….

20/05/2026: The fast-food place of our youth, I think it's been abandoned. The service makes you think we owe them money... Claiming to have the best tacos in Lyon... they need to take a hard look at themselves.

24/04/2026: Great team! Everyone is very friendly and remembers your preferences, which is really nice because you just have to come in and they immediately suggest what suits you. The set menus are very reasonably priced. You can eat without breaking the bank. Plus, the food is delicious, especially the pizzas, which are amazing. If you're not very hungry, you can have half or just a slice. So, in short, everything is great. I go there regularly during my lunch break. And what's more, I collect loyalty points for free half pizzas, which is really fantastic! A big thank you to the owner and the whole team! I highly recommend this place :)

01/05/2026: This is a traditional cake shop that has been in business since 1873, and they also have a cafe inside. The cakes aren't too sweet, the decorations are lovely, and the homemade macarons were delicious.

30/04/2026: Our breakfast experience was unsatisfactory. We ordered hot drinks and pastries to go. However, the service was unfriendly, the muffins were grainy, and the croissants were dry.

03/06/2026: The place was filthy, and we waited an hour and a half for very few customers. The service was terrible. I asked for a free ice cream for my daughter and me, but the manager only offered one ice cream for the two of us 🤔🤔🤔. There were two of us waiting, so what would it have cost him to give us two ice creams? I was stunned. So I refused the ice cream for two and left empty-handed.

The bonus for me, having worked in the restaurant industry for 30 years, was having a young man who was smiling, honest, down-to-earth, yet genuine. He explained and suggested, not insistently, all the menus with precision 🤩 Bravo to him! It's a passion to do and give the best to others... these values ​​are disappearing, but not for Victor. He explained the menu from A to Z and embodied the Ed Wood Coffee etiquette concept!!!! A jovial, friendly, and kind waiter, always sharing his customers' attention 🙏 Thank you so much, Victor. This time at your restaurant gave me more than just a dinner!!!! Keep being yourself. 🙏

12/04/2026: Warm and friendly service. The Moscow Mule prepared by Marie was particularly refreshing, enjoyed on a charming terrace that would have inspired Van Gogh. There's a tobacconist (I don't smoke anymore), but it's nice to know for players who smoke or otherwise.
