23/07/2026: I had an Amsterdamer bagel and a small tuna and potato salad. It was very good and very fresh; the bagel was slightly toasted, which was perfect. Plus, the service was very friendly.

05/07/2026: I find it hard to understand this restaurant's rating given our experience. From the moment we arrived, the reception set the tone: several staff members were chatting amongst themselves without even saying hello or indicating that they would be attending to us. Unfortunately, what followed only confirmed this first impression. We chose a set menu, but when it came time to order, we were told, one after the other, that several items were no longer available. And, most importantly, no alternative was offered spontaneously: we had to insist to get a replacement. The service was just as disorganized: a carafe of water without glasses, a forgotten fruit juice, and unprofessional responses like, "The glasses are self-service." In the middle of a heatwave, we were also surprised that neither the water nor the fruit juices were served chilled. Another detail that struck us: a waitress, still inside the establishment, was walking around with a cigarette in her mouth. Perhaps she was on break, but it's not very professional and reinforces the impression of a certain carelessness. The food didn't redeem the rest. The grilled vegetable and goat cheese tartine was particularly bland. As for the "minute cookie," it was more like barely warmed cookie dough, or even completely raw. Serving it with the main course, topped with a scoop of ice cream, made no sense: by the end of the meal, it had all melted. Another incomprehensible detail: of the included hot drinks, only tea and coffee were offered. Not liking either, we asked for hot chocolate, which was charged extra. Unfortunately, it was very watery and lacked any real chocolate flavor. Even the self-service area lacks logic: butter and jam are provided, but without any containers. We had to improvise with a glass and a napkin. We also overheard the customers seated next to us, who had ordered lentil dahl, expressing their disappointment by saying, "But that's not a dahl!" So, we clearly weren't the only ones disappointed with the meal. Finally, when it was time to leave, there was again no spontaneous goodbye from the staff. We were the ones who took the initiative to say goodbye. I very rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience combined a complete lack of welcome, disorganized service, a lack of anticipation, and food that unfortunately didn't live up to expectations. We came with high hopes based on the excellent reviews… and left wondering if we had actually been to the same establishment.

20/06/2026: A very pleasant surprise along our route. An unusual restaurant. Simple but good food. We weren't expecting six people to have lunch without a reservation. The owner was very friendly.

16/06/2026: The food was very good, but you have to order with a tablet if you're not used to it. It's a bit unusual that they serve at the table on Sundays. It's a little pricey without dessert, and they don't always change the plates. Fish and meat dishes are available, but after asking, we got our plates changed. In short, everything was very good.

24/06/2026: It's good, but it's a shame that considering the price, which is the same as another chip shop in Pont-sur-Sambre, we were very poorly served. Not many fries. Half a baguette was really small. It's a shame, as we're a family of five and we always get two burgers and meat for our three children. With the heatwave and everything closed, we went there, but there were hardly any fries at all. Considering the high price, be more generous.

11/07/2026: Tables dirty, floor filthy. Toilets unusable due to the stench of urine and puddles on the floor; burgers old and rancid. Shut this place down.
