03/09/2026: I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars in my memory, but it's not nice to have closed permanently without warning anyone, without a notice on the door or on social media. It's rather disrespectful to the customers who came regularly. La Bastide is in mourning.

26/07/2026: We went to this restaurant as a family this evening to celebrate a birthday. After waiting over an hour for someone to take our order, and then another hour before being served, we waited almost two hours before we could even start eating. We had ordered beef tartare. Leaving aside the taste of the food, there's a lot to say. We found a hair in one of our plates. In another, we had ordered a piece of beef, but the meat served was actually veal. When we pointed this out to the waitress, we were assured it was indeed beef. After checking, it turned out to be veal. The kitchen staff then had the nerve to reply in a very inappropriate tone: "If I tell you it's beef, it's beef." A completely disrespectful response to customers who had remained polite throughout. Sometimes you need to be able to question yourself, Madam. We never attacked you; we simply pointed out that we were served the wrong dish. So we decided to return the dish and leave it at that. When we simply remarked that the service was very slow, we were told, "Yes, but it's 35 degrees Celsius in the kitchen." Yet the restaurant was practically empty. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I can assure you that 35 degrees Celsius in a kitchen is perfectly normal. I would even go so far as to say it's rather bearable. You might think I'm exaggerating, but unfortunately, everything I'm saying is true. A little advice for the kitchen staff: accept criticism, especially when it's given politely. Criticism isn't always an attack; it can also lead to improvement. Finally, to top it all off, we had brought our own birthday cake. Despite the appalling service, we were still charged €3 per slice of cake. Unfortunately, we left extremely disappointed. It was, by far, the worst restaurant experience I've ever had in Bordeaux. I will never go back and I absolutely do not recommend it.

09/08/2026: The service is getting slower and slower, both in the restaurant and at the drive-thru… We saw a family with a toddler who waited an hour before being served, and we ourselves were stuck at the drive-thru several times with an infant waiting in the car with us… It's really disappointing for a McDonald's… I hope you improve your service soon…

09/08/2026: Mac Fleury glittery ice cream cone with a large empty space in the middle. The establishment was only moderately clean: sticky floors and tables.

17/07/2026: We enjoyed the snail feast last night at Le Globe and had a wonderful evening. The snails were delicious, a real treat! The staff is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive, which contributes to a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. We particularly appreciated the family-friendly feel of the restaurant. There were children present, everyone was welcome, and it's truly delightful to be able to enjoy a restaurant where families are greeted with a smile. You feel comfortable and relaxed in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A big thank you to the entire team for this lovely time. We will definitely be back!

17/07/2026: After a successful first visit this winter, we returned to this restaurant hoping to enjoy another delicious cargolade. What a disappointment! The snails were either overcooked or undercooked (on the same grill) and extremely salty. The duck breast served was more like half or a third of a breast…it was difficult to cut and completely tasteless. It came with three asparagus spears and a few fries. The service was appalling: the snails arrived without aioli, then the aioli without bread (we were told it was still cooking…), and so on. The fourth diner received their duck breast fifteen minutes after the snails…The wine arrived completely late as well! We certainly won't be returning a third time.

10/09/2026: Very pleasant terrace. Good and reasonably priced crêpes. Good frappe coffee. Very friendly staff. We'll be back.

02/09/2026: Such lovely staff who were very kind enough to let us use the bathroom even though we hadn’t even purchased anything. The food and drinks looked great!!

28/08/2026: It was advertised as open, with the option to book online, but it was closed. Thank you. I would have liked to visit.

18/08/2026: Excellent welcome, very professional servers. Very good value for money. The pizzas are excellent...special mention for the cheese calzone!!! Thank you for a very pleasant experience.

25/08/2026: Order 4723 placed this evening. I asked for sauces. They weren't there! The cone of fries from my maxi best-of... barely more filled than my daughter's Happy Meal. It's not a disaster, but it's not the first time, and so it's really annoying to have to remember to check your orders before leaving.

02/09/2026: Avoid this restaurant. The tables are never cleaned, and the service is terrible – too often forgotten. If you want a milkshake, go somewhere else because they haven't had any here for weeks. And now, the latest problem: the self-service kiosks keep turning off. They indicate payment is accepted, but then tell you the payment hasn't gone through. Two days later, you discover two charges on your account. To get a refund, you have to send an email to Nancy and wait for a reply. You have to prove you were charged twice in the email because even showing them your bank statement on-site isn't enough. I find this unacceptable. Even DIY stores give you a direct refund without any of this red tape.

19/09/2026: Nice bar- bistro. The food was nice. The service friendly, normal prices. Usually it is crowded but with nice ambiance

11/09/2026: Unfortunately, the service made our experience quite disappointing. We were in a group and had ordered several different dishes. The table quickly became piled high with small plates and bowls, to the point where we barely had room to move. Instead of regularly clearing the empty dishes, the server seemed more interested in chatting than attending to the customers' needs. Several people at neighboring tables even had to put some dishes on the empty tables next to us to free up some space. When we did the same, an employee came to tell us, in a rather unpleasant tone, that everything had to stay on our table. We explained that there simply wasn't any more room, but he replied that it didn't matter and proceeded to reposition our plates himself instead of clearing them, with a condescending and completely inappropriate attitude. What's even more regrettable is that other tables were doing the exact same thing without receiving a single comment. More attentive service, particularly clearing empty plates as they were used, and above all, a more respectful attitude towards customers would have completely changed our experience.

28/08/2026: A restaurant where apparently you can just hang out without ordering... a group of young people were eating candy and snacks they'd bought at Leclerc and nobody said anything to them, so if you want to relax and have a snack with your own Leclerc groceries, go ahead without any problem.

27/08/2026: I placed a click and collect order today on the Mcdo+ app and when I got home I saw that my caramel Kit Kat McFlurry that I ordered had turned into a chocolate sauce McFlurry with no topping or anything. I find this really disappointing and it's not the first time this has happened.

11/08/2026: We came for lunch, and the €27 set menu was excellent value for money. The service was superb, the cuisine was original, and the seasonal produce was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! 😁

10/08/2026: A delightful surprise! Perfectly cooked, seasoned to perfection. A great restaurant well worth the detour. We'll be back!

17/09/2026: We stayed for quite a while waiting for the train. Breakfast was very good for a reasonable price: €6.50 for a generously sized drink, freshly squeezed orange juice, and pastries. The seats are comfortable. The waitress was really efficient. She had to manage everything herself, yet she remained smiling and pleasant with the customers despite the crowd. Just one small drawback: the building could use some updating—especially the restrooms.
