05/09/2026: This is the first review I've ever written. I arrived at this restaurant with my daughter in the extreme heat (we had to go outside several times to get some fresh air). We waited quite a while while the employee finished two Deliveroo/Uber orders, all very slowly, sighing, and nonchalantly pacing back and forth across the restaurant. Those two orders took forever to come out before she finally got to mine, only to realize she'd forgotten another order and ask me to wait while she prepared it. Obviously, I left, having wasted time, sweltering in the heat, and unable to order because there was no way I was going to wait another minute. And let's not even mention the green flies buzzing around the food and the unpleasant smell that hits you as soon as you walk in.

24/08/2026: Serious hygiene problems (flies and food that looks questionable). The staff are incredibly slow and unprofessional, whispering in front of customers and then laughing gives a very bad impression. Are they mocking their customers? Are they laughing at something completely unrelated? We don't know, but well-mannered people know how to behave, especially in a professional setting. Furthermore, when one employee is cooking while another is "cleaning" when there are other customers, it would be good if they stopped "cleaning" and helped their colleague to avoid customers waiting almost 30 minutes when there are only six of us waiting for our order. Given all the recent reviews repeating the same problems, WHERE ARE THE HYGIENE DEPARTMENTS?

15/09/2026: Went to the drive-thru on Sunday, September 13th, waited 1 hour and 15 minutes... It happens... But when I got to the counter, the order was lost, so we started again, and there was no way to use my loyalty card. Then the burgers and fries were delivered cold, and on top of that, they forgot the sauces... I hope this is a one-off, but I was disappointed with the evening.

19/08/2026: As a regular McDonald’s customer, placing 2 to 3 orders per week for a couple and a child, I would like to report a recurring problem. During our last order at the McDonald’s in Waziers, we paid extra for a figurine, but it was missing from our bag. We recently encountered the exact same situation at the McDonald’s in Orchies: the extra charge was processed, but the figurine was missing. An occasional oversight can obviously happen. However, when this happens repeatedly at several restaurants with the same type of paid item, it primarily reveals a lack of quality control during order preparation and delivery. Given our order frequency, this is not a reaction to a single bad experience. When a customer specifically pays extra for an item, it is reasonable to expect it to be in their bag, without having to systematically check their order in the parking lot. Therefore, more rigorous verification of paid promotional items is necessary. EDIT following the response from the McDonald’s in Orchies: I would like to clarify that my comment was primarily intended to report this issue so that it could be identified and corrected, and not to specifically blame the Orchies restaurant. The fact that I encountered the same problem in Waziers demonstrates that it doesn't seem to be specific to any one location. I therefore thank the McDonald’s in Orchies for taking the time to respond and consider my feedback. In light of their response and their approach, I am revising my overall rating to 3 stars. I simply hope that this report will lead to stricter controls so that this recurring problem with extra-pay items is truly resolved.

25/06/2026: The cashier is grumpy; I ask her for a slushie and I feel like I'm asking for the moon. She talks to me like I'm poor.

09/09/2026: No takeaway sauces, miserable "large potatoes" €12! 😆😆 Go across the street, they have an XL Tacos Further down, a huge pizza…

05/09/2026: McDonald's is very well located in the center of Lille. You can enjoy a very pleasant outdoor area.

27/09/2026: Honestly, McDonald's was pretty mediocre, but I still wanted to leave a review for Fatou because she was really great to me. She was so smiley, welcoming, and kind, and you can tell she cares about her customers. Even though I wasn't particularly impressed with McDonald's overall, Fatou really made my visit much more pleasant. I really wanted to mention this because she deserves to be commended for her hospitality. Thank you, Fatou 🙏

27/08/2026: A very, very good experience. The food was delicious and the staff were very, very pleasant.

09/08/2026: There was a lack of meat, raw vegetables, and surprisingly, even bread. The promotional menu was rarely (if ever) available.

23/08/2026: I paid €4.50 for a smoothie. It was good, but they put in an ice cube that's half the size of the 30cl glass. I find that very annoying, especially since it's already cheap to make, and then they take some of it away with an ice cube... anyway. Otherwise, the place where you drink it is very nice.

13/06/2026: Honestly this was the only place where I had a bad experience as a tourist on a recent trip. Spotted this little bar and thought it would be the perfect spot for a drink by the river in the sunshine. Went and ordered a glass of champagne, not bad price at 8 euro - they asked me to pay cash, I thought maybe the card machine wasn’t working so gave a 10 euro note, they kept the change…!! And a few minutes later I saw them offer the card machine to another customer so obviously it was working and they just ripped me off. The glass of champagne was tiny BUT at least it was cold and I got to sit by the river for a bit admiring the views. Nonetheless wouldn’t recommend this place and wouldn’t go back.

06/09/2026: McDonald's prices are outrageous, especially considering the quality of the food served. The tables are dirty, the floor is greasy—it's definitely not worth the money. Luckily, the employees are friendly, but that's not enough, especially at €15 for a Big Mac.

04/09/2026: Hello, I placed a click and collect order this evening, and there were no desserts in the bag... This isn't the first time this has happened. We pay for things we don't receive.

15/03/2026: A huge thank you to the entire team for their warm welcome and professionalism. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. We felt truly welcome from the moment we arrived, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

08/03/2026: My company rented me a triple room through Booking.com for three weekend days. My first disappointment was the long wait for the concierge, who arrived only 15 minutes after I called and texted. Furthermore, the kitchen (on the ground floor) only has one microwave, and it's located behind the bar, in a very inconvenient location. When I needed to get an invoice from the concierge the next day, I had to wait another 20 minutes... My bottom line: if possible, find another place to stay.

14/09/2026: Fine McDonald's, for a change the food was actually warm. You can also order upstairs and it gets brought to the table.

12/09/2026: It took far too long to be served. I ordered 20 minutes ago and still haven't been served.

07/09/2026: A superb, timeless place, like a little haven where you can enjoy a quality coffee. I love it.

01/09/2026: Terrible welcome. We couldn't even enter the conservatory because the person at reception was incredibly rude. Avoid at all costs.

29/08/2026: I'm diabetic and can't hold my bladder. I asked to go to the restroom for a second; it was late, the bar was empty. He told me no, there are public restrooms over there. I told him I was coming from there and that I couldn't hold it because I'm sick. He still told me no, you're not going, go find it there. I don't recommend it.

10/07/2026: I give this bar a very bad rating; the managers are extremely unpleasant. We arrived, a group of 10, to watch a France football match. We all ordered drinks; some had food, others refilled their beers. That's more than one drink per person on average. It was July, during a heatwave. We asked for a carafe of water and two glasses of water, and the man refused. He refused to give us a carafe of water and glasses of water because we were staying for the whole match and needed to order more?? Even though several of us still had full glasses. I would like to remind everyone that it is illegal to refuse water to people, especially during a heatwave, in temperatures of 31°C, and even more so when they are customers who have already ordered and paid for several items. Even after we tried to negotiate, the man refused and made a scene. If you want to support ungrateful people who refuse to give away (free???) water, go ahead. Otherwise, we all agree they deserve to be sued.

13/09/2026: On several occasions, the sandwiches seemed to have been left out at room temperature for too long (the salad was cooked inside the Big Macs). Furthermore, this is the most expensive McDonald's I've ever tried. The prices are clearly exorbitant compared to other McDonald's restaurants in the capital. The cleanliness of the dining area often leaves much to be desired. The nice thing, however, is the large outdoor area and a castle big enough for children to play in.

24/09/2026: I came with my family today, and no one greeted us or even said hello. Then our order was taken, and there was a very long wait, only for four out of five people to be served. The waffle finally arrived… It was a mass-produced waffle, far too hard, with not enough toppings. For the price, it was disappointing… And let's not even mention the carafe of water we ordered, which we never received.
