18/03/2026: My fiancé and I were so excited to come here—partly to celebrate our engagement, and partly for our first vacation in Europe after a hectic summer of moving and the recent loss of her grandparents. We had been looking forward to renting a car and taking a week-long journey after settling into Barcelona just a few weeks prior. Before arriving, we emailed the hotel to inform them of our late check-in. Upon arrival, we were required to carry our own luggage and park our car down the street. While this is not a major issue, I would expect a higher level of service from a Relais & Châteaux property. The following morning, after breakfast, we approached the front desk to ask for recommendations on what to do for the day. During this interaction, the agent accused my fiancé of stealing a bottle of soap from the restaurant bathroom. In broken English, the agent said, “You steal soap from bathroom?” while gesturing toward my fiancé’s purse and miming hiding something inside it. This was both embarrassing and inappropriate. I followed up with the front desk after the encounter, expressing that if the hotel is concerned about guests taking soap, they should either use less expensive products or secure them more appropriately—but that accusing a guest in this manner is unacceptable. Shortly afterward, the general manager appeared and apologized for the misunderstanding. Additionally, we received an email from a front desk agent stating they needed to charge my card an additional €29.60 due to a miscalculation. After already spending €792.10 for two nights, requesting this additional amount felt disproportionate and poorly handled. There were also some operational issues during our stay. The outdoor sprinklers were set to go off early in the evening, and as we walked back from dinner, we were unexpectedly soaked. This could easily be avoided by scheduling them for early morning hours (e.g., around 4 a.m.) to prevent inconvenience to guests. While the medical spa itself was relaxing, the website gives the impression that it is directly attached to the hotel, which was somewhat misleading. Overall, this experience did not meet expectations, and unfortunately, we will not be returning.

08/09/2024: While passing through, we ate outside piled on top of each other. The cuisine is honest but the atmosphere is not there.

08/09/2024: Très bon repas malgré l'attente mais il faut dire qu'elles n'étaient que deux pour le service et que le resto était plein ainsi que la terrasse. Nous avons été très bien servis

06/09/2024: Restaurant très correct, fricadelle pour mois et moules frites pour ma femme nous étions très satisfait de nos plats. Mais heureusement que ce n'était pas un jour d'affluence, le service étant un peu lent

06/08/2024: Entrées par hasard dans le restaurant. Terrasse ombragée. Service rapide. Bons plats classiques : tartes flambées, moules. Je ne sais pas si on y reviendrait mais c'était correct.

16/12/2024: A hotel well located and convenient for access to different cultural sites and restaurants. The room is cozy and comfortable, a pleasure to spend a romantic weekend there. The only thing that bothered me is that sometimes some other guests can be noisy and you can hear them through the door. Otherwise everything was perfect from the welcome, to the breakfast and the room.

12/12/2024: I HAD A GOOD STAY, LISTENING STAFF. CLEAN HOTEL. THE GREAT PDJ. WHEN AT THE RESTAURANT THE LUNCH AND EVENING MEAL IS BALANCED AND GOOD.

07/12/2024: We had lunch at the restaurant, passing through Rochechouart. Very warm welcome, dishes prepared with passion. Special mention to the hare à la royale and the 'Boule de neige' dessert made with apple and calvados. We will come back!!!

24/11/2024: We ate in this restaurant last night, we had a great time! Good products, well cooked and all homemade! We will come back with pleasure, well done to the cooks and waiters.

31/08/2024: Je déconseille ce restaurant pour plusieurs raisons : - les viandes rouges sont toutes cuites à point. Pas possible de demander une cuisson bleue ou saignante. Amateur de viande rouge ne venez pas ! - la vaisselle est sale. Cela peut arriver mais lorsque j’ai demandé le changement de mon verre, le serveur m’a apporté un verre trempé. - 2 plats ont été oubliés sur notre table de 10 personnes. Mon mari avait terminé son plat lorsque j’ai été servie… - le serveur (Guillaume) parle énormément au point d’en être dérangeant et n’a aucun sens du commerce…il n’a semble pas du tout apprécié que je demande une ristourne suite à son erreur (oubli de 2 plats). Il aurait pu de lui même proposer de payer mon apéro par exemple.
