20/08/2024: Nothing to say, frankly perfect service, top cuisine!

08/08/2024: Why go elsewhere for lunch? since for a very reasonable price, Basta offers two types of hearty salads, a daily special, and a menu of red or white meats cooked and seasoned to perfection, always accompanied by garnishes with a "home" flavor. The first choice meats come from the butcher. For me, their fries are simply the best in Gap. The salad is always impeccable with its little onions which add flavor, and depending on the day you will find gratin, fish lasagna, larks, etc. etc. The service is welcoming and you feel good, a bit like home, it's so natural and friendly. The chef loves his job, in short, everything here is simple but hey..👍💯

10/06/2024: Great discovery, it's the second time I've been there, the chicken yassa is very good. The welcome is great. And you can see that it’s really homemade. Well done 😊

03/06/2024: I ordered Brazilian fish. Dish composed of 90% unseasoned rice with a few strips of pepper and crumbs of fish which fought a duel.

13/07/2024: Comment imaginer meilleur repas ? Tout y était, l’accueil tellement gentil et prévenant, les plats savoureusement préparés et copieux, les assaisonnements étaient parfaits et les mélanges de saveurs tout autant. Difficile de trouver un défaut… Même le pain (une baguette tradition qui était servie généreusement) était excellent pour accompagner, pour saucer (et ça aurait été dommage de ne pas le faire !). Et la vue… Mais quelle vue depuis la terrasse de cet hôtel-restaurant ! Quant au chef, il accompagne merveilleusement le repas en étant à la fois prévenant et talentueux ! Rien ne manque sur cette table, de l’apéritif au café, c’était simplement une expérience aussi inattendue que sublime !

14/09/2025: They're getting a little less young, it's true, but waiting half an hour for a crok or a salad and getting an overcooked minced beef steak and an inedible rib-eye steak like the fries bought next door at Picard, a mixed salad with three small Chavignol goat's cheeses, luckily there's a lot of salad on the plate, it's time they took on a little intern on the weekend, they get very busy very quickly but know how to take the money and give change, really, we go there quite often but are more and more disappointed, the boss Henri, depending on the day, depending on his humor and depending on the day

15/08/2024: We were a party of 10 staying nearby and dined here twice during our stay. It really is a wonderful restaurant: low-key and simple, but the food and service were just perfect. A lovely place to spend an evening.

10/08/2024: A delicious, excellently presented meal at a reasonable price. We went for dinner midweek and our only disappointment was that we were the only diners. Would highly recommend!
