15/06/2025: I'm sharing my experience from this morning. I sat down on the terrace and waited a bit. No one came over. I put in my AirPods, checked my phone, and saw a waiter in front of me. I took out my headphones, and this person—a clown to me, trying to be clever—speaks to me in Italian and other languages ​​because I had my headphones on and hadn't seen or heard him. Everyone else is laughing, except me. Shame on you for speaking to me like that and making the other customers laugh. You're very rude. Even though I didn't see you, you should work in a circus instead of a bar.

12/04/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and it was a delightful surprise! The daily menu is simple and unpretentious, featuring fresh ingredients and a homemade touch. Options include fresh fish of the day and meat, homemade fries with delicious sauces, and homemade desserts. The crème brûlée was spectacular! It's a simple, quiet place with regular customers that doesn't need reviews, but we felt very well taken care of and the food was delicious, and this is our small contribution. Thank you!

19/08/2024: Cuisine délicieuse dans un cadre bucolique avec un service irréprochable et une équipe aux petits soins pour le bien-être des clients. Parking aisé, vue sur la campagne normande depuis la véranda. Des produits de qualité, locaux ainsi que des mariages de saveurs inattendus mais toujours excellents. Nous avons passé un superbe moment du début à la fin dans cet établissement qui gagne vraiment à être connu ! Merci pour tout, Nous reviendrons, c’est certain

25/07/2024: C'est la deuxième fois que je viens dans ce restaurant de qualité. Ils sont de plus en plus rares à proposer des repas 100 % faits sur place avec des saveurs subtiles. Tout ça dans un cadre reposant à moins de 5 km de Lisieux.

24/07/2024: Zeer onvriendelijk, weigeren enige vorm van engel. Geeft aan dat het terras gereserveerd is en dat als het restaurant een half uur later open gaat we binnen kunnen eten. Een half uur later komen we terug en poeiert hij ons in het frans af dat we zonder reservering nergens kunnen eten.

08/05/2024: Nous avons diné dans ce restaurant à l'occasion d'un séjour à Center Parcs. Le service était très bien, mais le rapport qualité prix est mauvais. Les prix sont élevés (pizza à plus de 16€ - Menu entrée/plat/dessert à 30€) et la qualité juste correcte. Par ailleurs, le restaurant est très bruyant.il faudrait revoir l'acoustique.

31/08/2024: Très bon et copieux avec des serveurs rivalisant de gentillesse. Plusieurs plats locaux sont proposés. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir avant notre départ!

04/08/2024: On s'est vraiment régalé dans ce resto face à la cathédrale. De la viande extra, très savoureuse et goûteuse, spécialités d'Auvergne au menu, y compris pour les vins, très bon rapport qualité prix, accueil et service au top ! Grande terrasse extérieure.

13/10/2026: My partner and I have made it a habit to come one Saturday a month for the past several years. As always, it was perfect, with very reasonable prices and delicious food. Special mention goes to the cashier and the young cook who's always running around, always welcoming us with a smile and whose cooking techniques are flawless.

25/08/2024: I always need to be fair so will lead with the good points. Food was nice enough, apparently the lamb curry was delicious. Breakfast was good. Bed was clean and comfortable. Live music was good fun. Really loved all of the animals wandering around. Rustic character is nice. However, this place is dirty. There was mess everywhere upon our arrival. Rooms are definitely not being cleaned properly between guests, there are spiders & cobbwebs in every corner, small pieces of rubbish and other guests hair clips on the floor & a large dead insect in the shower tray upon check-in. A long list of small faults that add up. We were told the key to our room was stolen by the last guest so no key to lock our door for our two nights stay…In fairness, on pressing Charlotte did find a spare key half an hour later. On our first night, just passed midnight we all went to bed. All the customers had left after the live band & the owner switched on music at full volume in the room directly below us. I got out of bed to ask for the music to be turned down. I was flabbergasted that the room with blaring music was actually empty and she was sitting in the garden with her friends drinking. Charlotte did turn it off but was very narky, rolling her eyes at me. I pointed out “she was making it clear she didn’t like me”. Charlotte snapped back “I’ve turned the music off, what more do you want?” The following morning, an apology failed to arrive. To inflict your loud music on your guests is immensely unprofessional. To snap at guests and make guests feel disliked and unwelcome is totally unacceptable. Our entire group were disappointed in the standard of this property. We went to an event and other guests were staying at mad hatters. They also thought it was dirty and of a poor standard. Having just read all the reviews on TripAdvisor, I can see Charlotte’s responds to her customers negative reviews with rude, and indignant replies filled with excuses so I’m sure it will all be our fault! This a simply a sign of a poor quality accommodation run by a very unprofessional business owner who does not care about guests.

10/08/2024: Family of 5 (incl 17, 17 & 13 yrs) After 11 hours in the car, wandering into Charlotte & David’s beautiful (massive!) farmhouse to check in, everything just stopped. Cool, calm & incredibly welcoming, the tough driving quickly forgotten. Charming attic rooms with amazing views, amongst the soaring birds. Unwittingly, we had arrived for their Summer Festival weekend - free live music on Friday night, BBQ & fresh salads & a bar that seemed to sell everything! (Free disco on the Saturday night) We all had the best sleep we’ve ever had on one of these stopovers - saw the sunset but not the sunrise from our eyrie. But not too late to enjoy a simple, tasty breakfast.

27/09/2025: We arrived and... new owners have recently arrived. The service is friendly and cheerful. The menu will expand over time. The dishes are generous and tasty, and the presentation is simple and effective. The room's decor is pleasant. (No photos taken 😅) Evening events are organized... there's a Facebook page. Enjoy your meal!

27/04/2024: Since the reopening, it's been catastrophic. A tasteless, cold meal, served after an interminable hour-long wait. Not everyone was served at the same time. Mistake in the order, lukewarm beer. The rougail was tasteless, the fish and chips inedible, rice probably cooked in unsalted water. We were asked several times to confirm our order. Simply avoid it. I don't give it long before it closes.
