09/05/2026: Avoid at all costs… unless you want to ruin your evening. The fact that this restaurant was the only one with available seats—and practically empty—on a Friday night should have been a red flag. We decided to give it a chance anyway… what a mistake. To begin with, the service: pushy and intrusive waiters. They came to ask us far too often if everything was alright… it became oppressive. But the highlight of the evening was when we found a piece of plastic about 1 cm long in a cod fritter (already far too greasy). We could have choked. We called the waiter over, who replied, embarrassed, that “it happens.” As an apology, he brought us another fritter… imagine our surprise when we found, this time, a piece of paper inside. Naively, we decided to ignore the incident and dig into the main course: poorly thawed fish, sticky and undercooked rice, bland vegetables, and to top it all off… a leek compote that was simply inedible. So we cancelled our desserts and wanted to leave as quickly as possible. That's when they brought us three coconut digestifs “as an apology” (bad luck: one of us doesn't drink alcohol and another hates coconut). In short, a complete fiasco from start to finish. And to add insult to injury, we were still charged for the accras.

05/05/2026: This establishment has been recognized several times by the Rough Guide, and it's easy to see why: far from the touristy Saint-Malo, you'll find a warm, pleasant, and welcoming atmosphere—what a delight! The servers are incredibly attentive throughout the meal, always with a smile; it's so enjoyable. The cuisine is delicious and flavorful, from appetizer to main course. Unfortunately, we didn't have the chance to try the desserts. The Asian-style steak tartare was a true delight, as was the Thai chicken curry—a real treat! A pleasant surprise was the perfectly executed cocktails; it's rare to find a spritz so well-balanced. 😍 I recommend this restaurant without hesitation! Go, you won't be disappointed!

19/03/2026: La Pergola is the casino where my wife and I first played, brought by our friends Norbert and Elisabeth, who lived on Rue de la République at the time. For a first try, it was a resounding success. Furious at having lost, I threw my last few coins into a machine. I won enough to buy my wife a superb pair of handmade red espadrilles, which she had been wanting, and I treated everyone to the restaurant "La Banquise," if I'm not mistaken, where the four of us shared a delicious and generous seafood platter. Amazing! René

06/05/2026: What a wonderful, authentic French Bistro with excellent service and fantastic food. We didn't have to wait long, maybe 10 mins and I was so impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of the staff. Can't wait to go back!

06/05/2026: On our last day in Paris, we went to this restaurant. There's usually quite a queue, but it depends on the size of your group. If there's a table available, you'll probably get in sooner. We didn't wait long. We loved the food and the atmosphere, and the quality-price ratio was fantastic. We ordered the set menu, which consisted of choosing a meat or fish dish, so we ordered both, plus some snails. For dessert, we ordered crème brûlée and profiteroles, although we didn't like the profiteroles as much because the ice cream was served frozen and difficult to eat. But the crème brûlée was absolutely delicious. On our next visit to Paris, we'll definitely be back... many thanks to the waiters for their excellent service.

12/04/2026: Excellent food and very welcoming service. We were a group of seven and were given a table and served a delicious meal with great friendliness. A place to discover and return to.

06/04/2026: Expensive meal, especially considering the main course was lamb tagine, which was all bone with no meat. The other dishes were fish and pasta, very average and served lukewarm.

03/05/2026: Passing through the area, we stumbled upon this place by chance. A very pleasant surprise! Even though it was busy, the service was quick and the food was excellent. We'll gladly return.

30/04/2026: An unusual spot, perfect for relaxing on the sunny terrace on a Sunday. Numerous concerts take place on Fridays and Saturdays. Definitely worth checking out. The only downside is the price of cocktails, between €8 and €11, practically as expensive as in the heart of Bordeaux.

09/04/2026: I deliberately ordered a burger meal instead of a pizza to see how they were doing, and it's excellent!! For €16, you get a lot of very good fries, the burger is huge and well-filled, the only downside is the drink is too small; 50cl would be perfect. It's much better than McDonald's and more substantial 🍔 🍟 🥤

21/04/2026: The setting is very pleasant, the staff is excellent and very professional. The food is good, just right for lunch. The sugar on top of the tiramisu was perhaps unnecessary.
