02/04/2026: Conveniently located on Boulevard Jean Jaurès, Café Pantel is something of an institution. Always lively, it's a popular spot for people to gather around a beer or a coffee, chatting about football or bullfighting. The food is simple and good. Friendly service.

01/05/2026: I wanted to share my experience at this restaurant in Marly-le-Roi. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed by the quality of the food, which was clearly lacking. So much so that we didn't even finish part of our desserts, which speaks volumes. For three people, the bill came to €158, a price that seems completely unjustified given the quality offered. The contrast was all the more striking because the next day, we had lunch at a restaurant near Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, where we paid €132 for three people, with a significantly higher quality of food and service. We therefore regret this experience and feel that the value for money is very poor.

The dining rooms are intimate without feeling cramped, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. My only small wish would be a broader selection of wine by the glass, though I understand how challenging that can be for a smaller restaurant without creating waste. A carafe or “half bottle” option could be a nice middle ground, but this is a minor and very personal note. Overall, Le Cottage is our favorite restaurant in the area. 10/05/2026: The crêpe batter recipe and cooking method, whether using wheat or buckwheat flour, were simply perfect. They were also generously filled. The welcome and service were delightful.

27/04/2026: The welcome and service were young, friendly, efficient, and very kind. The dining room is well-furnished and decorated, with wood paneling, wainscoting, and stone cladding on the walls, and carpeting on the floor. A pellet stove is available if needed. A large bay window opens onto the terrace, facing the main street. Wi-Fi is available. This restaurant serves a good selection of savory buckwheat galettes and sweet crêpes. It also offers an extensive menu of meat and fish dishes. My galette was large, piping hot, generously filled, and very tasty. My crêpe was also very good. There's a nice drinks menu with wines, beers, ciders, sodas, and juices. I had a great time during my meal and I recommend this establishment.

05/05/2026: The daily specials are delicious, well-presented, and the staff is very welcoming. I often come here with my colleagues for lunch and I highly recommend it.

07/04/2026: We waited over 50 minutes today, even though we asked the waitress about the wait time when we arrived. We told her we only had an hour to eat, and she reassured us, saying it would only be 20 minutes. I ended up having to eat in 10 minutes and cancel my dessert order. It's a shame, especially for a brasserie with a sunny location, a pleasant interior, and good food.

18/05/2026: Excellent bakery and pastry shop. Very good products, a considerable selection of bread, pastries, pizza, etc. From pistachio flan to éclairs, everything is just as good. And to top it all off, the new owners are friendly, kind, and bring their own fresh approach. The staff is just as lovely. Try it, you'll be hooked, and you'll definitely be back.

03/04/2026: Irish-style pub with a great atmosphere and tasteful decor. The place is spacious and has different areas, perfect for a quiet drink or a comfortable dinner. We had a wonderful dinner; the food was delicious and beautifully presented. A good selection of beers and drinks, ideal for spending time with friends. We're from La Rioja, Spain, and we loved the experience. The atmosphere is lively and friendly; definitely a place to return to! 👍

05/03/2026: An interesting experience at a traditional Lyonnais bistro that didn't serve what is precisely the hallmark of such a dish: a simple Lyonnaise salad. I regret that the waitstaff didn't even have the presence of mind, or the desire to please a customer, to ask the kitchen if it was possible. Perhaps it would have been too much of a challenge to gather these simple ingredients (each of which is on the menu) to try and adhere to what defines our culinary traditions and, let's face it, our pride. As a native of Lyon, I had to settle for half a Saint-Marcellin cheese, which was very good nonetheless. In short, aiming to be a high-end bistro is all well and good; remembering your roots is even better. If we need reminding, Le Petit Paumé (another Lyonnais institution) provides a fine definition of what we have the right to expect from a traditional Lyonnais bistro.
