10/05/2026: Sleeping at the New World is like stepping back in time to the 60s and 70s, but in East Berlin: antique furniture, worn bedding, a security gate at reception, a kitschy lounge, and few TV channels. There were several positive points, however: a huge free parking lot opposite the hotel, a bathtub in the bathroom, books to take home, and a pod coffee machine available in the hotel lounge. The owner even gave us coffee pods. Except the pods tasted like... I couldn't describe it, but they definitely didn't taste like coffee. I think the pods themselves were from the 60s and 70s. Good luck.

They refused to take my money because I understand the fear of being scammed, but the holiday voucher I gave them was perfectly valid. Avoid at all costs. 30/06/2026: Dinner at this restaurant, which held great promise for a business dinner. The food was good, but disappointment came when we were served. We were told we'd be having beef, but unfortunately, we were served chicken instead… a set menu for everyone. The presentation and taste were lovely, but unfortunately, the dish wasn't very hot, and even though it was a large table, the portions were a bit small. Another downside was the service; we were served coffee without sugar or a spoon. The setting is pleasant, as is the outdoor terrace. The decor is trendy.

14/07/2026: We had a reservation for six people and ended up crammed into a table for four, while just two meters away, four people were seated at a table for six. To top it all off, a waiter spoke to us very rudely, telling us to return to our table of four simply because we were trying to find a more suitable solution. Otherwise, the food was good.

14/07/2026: The reservation system needs to be reviewed. We booked for 6 but were seated at a table for 4, while a table for 6 next door was given for 4. We spent the evening packed in like sardines.

19/07/2026: Disappointing. The mussels were translucent, just the smell of Roquefort cheese but no taste... I think the seasoning was very light. I'm rather disappointed and won't be back.
