05/04/2026: If we could leave a 10* review we would. We have recently returned from our stunning winter wedding weekend at Hotel Coutettaz. From start to finish James and the team made the experience a total joy. Nothing was too difficult and any wedding stresses we had were quickly dispelled by the seamless professionalism, hospitality and friendliness of the Coutettaz staff. We had 80 of our closest friends and family join us on our wedding day with our family staying in the 11 stunning bedrooms for 3 nights over the weekend. The food, both on the wedding day and on the other nights was worthy of Michelin stars, breakfast was an amazing mix of continental and cooked that constantly garnered praise from all the guests. The overall quality of the experience has left us feeling overwhelmed with joy and already planning our return visit! We want to say such a huge thank you for everything. If you are looking for a second to none experience (wedding, holiday or just a quick weekend stay) in the mountains you have to put Hotel Coutettaz at the top of your list.

03/10/2025: On 08/10/25, we bought, among other items, a bottle of Mas Blanc Sostrera. When we returned from our vacation, we discovered an uncorked, opened bottle. Never seen this anywhere else (untouched photo)

31/08/2024: Ambiance un peu nostalgique du Paris d'avant. Cuisine simple, à la fois sympa et gouteuse. Un petit coin de la France qu'on aime !

02/10/2025: And that's it! It's over! Permanent closure! After nearly 40 years, this store, which I had the honor of managing from 2002 to 2023, has not survived these last two years; and a disastrous management and the incompetence of the management following the takeover of Ducs De Gascogne in July 2023 by the company Quaterras ex French Food Gourmet: a textbook case of when apprentice financiers want to buy and sink one of the jewels of French gastronomy: shame and disgust.

07/08/2024: Galettes excellentes et produits de qualité. Ambiance familiale et très agréable. Établissement qui ne paie pas de mine mais qui mérite le détour

03/05/2024: Très bonne crêperie. Accueil hyper chaleureux. Les galettes étaient bien équilibrées, les crêpes terminaient bien le repas.

25/09/2024: Siamo stati al Skiroc Cafe ingolositi dalle foto e dalle buone recensioni. Il locale è molto informale, giovanile, contiguo ad altri ristoratori, e un po' decentrato, e con parcheggi comodi nelle vicinanze. Nulla da dire sulla cordialità e la celerità del servizio, ma molto probabilmente siamo stati ospiti di questo locale in una giornata poco felice per chi ha cotto le nostre pizze. Dall'aspetto superiore, erano molto invitanti, ma sotto erano bruciate in maniera importante, rendendo il loro sapore abbastanza indigesto. Noi, per principio e rispetto, non buttiamo mai il cibo, e quindi ci siamo imposti di mangiarlo, ma come si può vedere dalle foto, non è stato facile (chissà quanta acrilammide ci siamo mangiati...) Nessuno ci ha chiesto se tutto andasse bene, altrimenti avremmo fatto presente della cosa nell'immediato. Peccato. Nonostante ciò, quando avremo modo di tornare a Bourg Saint Maurice, andremo sicuramente al Skiroc Cafe, perchè una seconda possibilità si deve sempre dare, sperando in un'esperienza più positiva, così da aggiornare la presente con giudizi migliori.

31/08/2024: Bel agencement, bien situé, proche du centre ville et avec parking. Convivial, ambiance familiale et carte variée. Les plats sont faits maison et très bons. Bon rapport qualité prix.

07/08/2024: Unser Besuch im Restaurant war ein kulinarisches Highlight, das unsere Erwartungen in vielerlei Hinsicht übertraf. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet – jedes Gericht, das uns serviert wurde, war ein Meisterwerk für sich. Von den perfekt zubereiteten Vorspeisen bis zu den delikaten Hauptgerichten und Desserts konnte man die Sorgfalt und das Können des Küchenteams förmlich schmecken. Besonders beeindruckend war, dass der Chefkoch selbst in der Küche stand und die Speisen zubereitete, was dem Ganzen eine persönliche und authentische Note verlieh. Der Service war ebenfalls hervorragend. Das Personal war nicht nur aufmerksam und freundlich, sondern auch sehr gut geschult und konnte zu jedem Gericht und Wein kompetente Auskünfte geben. Unsere Wünsche wurden stets prompt und zuvorkommend erfüllt, was zu einem insgesamt sehr angenehmen und entspannten Abend beitrug. Leider gab es jedoch einen Aspekt, der unseren Besuch etwas getrübt hat: die Preise der Weine. Diese empfanden wir als unangemessen hoch. Für ein Glas Weißwein zahlten wir 18 Euro, obwohl die 75-cl-Flasche im Handel nur etwa 10 Euro kostet. Ein Glas Dessertwein schlug mit stolzen 32 Euro zu Buche, ebenfalls bei einem Flaschenpreis von rund 10 Euro im Handel. Der Preis für ein Glas Champagner lag bei 24 Euro, wobei die entsprechende Flasche im Handel etwa 49 Euro kostet. Während wir verstehen, dass in einem gehobenen Restaurant auch die Weine etwas teurer sind als im Einzelhandel, schienen uns diese Preise doch überzogen. Es wäre wünschenswert, wenn hier eine fairere Kalkulation gefunden werden könnte, die dem hohen Qualitätsstandard des Restaurants entspricht, ohne dass die Gäste das Gefühl haben, übermäßig zur Kasse gebeten zu werden. Insgesamt war unser Besuch im Restaurant jedoch ein kulinarisches Erlebnis, das wir sehr genossen haben. Mit einer Anpassung der Weinpreise würde der Abend zu einem rundum perfekten Erlebnis werden.

27/07/2024: Wer die Sterneküche mag, sollte diesem Restaurant einen Besuch abstatten. Für uns hat an dem Abend alles gepasst. Sehr hamonisches und aussergewöhnliched Menü mit stimmiger Weinbegleitung. Vom Team inkl. Vincent Favre wurden wir sehr charmant und sympatisch durch den Abend begleitet. Wir kommen wieder!

21/11/2024: Restaurant rénové avec beaucoup de goût. La cuisine est excellente et l ambiance très chaleureuse. Nous étions un groupe de huit et avons apprécié d être placés dans un une salle un peu à l écart Le maître d hôtel et les serveuses ont été aux petits soins Nous reviendrons …. 21/11/2024: Très bon dîner dans ce restaurant que nous ne connaissions que de nom. Les plats étaient excellents. Le serveur, aux petits soins, très accueillant et souriant, nous a conseillé un vin blanc fameux pour accompagner nos plats. La décoration est très belle et contribue à une ambiance très agréable. A recommander sans hésitation !
