22/05/2026: A fantastic lunch stop for us during our Bayeux-Vire cycling trip, a famous stage of the 2025 Tour de France. The owner also cycled this stage in 2025, so we were on the same wavelength. This is crucial for me, but it was entirely a happy coincidence, because the restaurant itself lived up to expectations. Excellent food and impeccable service in a simple yet bright setting. A wonderful day!

21/12/2025: We ate there after visiting the Christmas market and the cathedral. It was very good, homemade (ch'ti burger, fish and chips, chocolate fondant) and reasonably priced. The decor is lovely, and the owner was friendly.

15/03/2026: A very bad experience. The service was unpleasant, and the staff were condescending. The price-quality ratio is shocking compared to the restaurant next door. We ordered raclette, and the amount of charcuterie was minimal, and we never received the salad. When we pointed this out, we were told we had to ask for it, even though it's normally included. Hygiene is appalling… the owners' dog roams freely in the dining room and kitchen, and the manager smokes inside… I strongly advise against this establishment!

10/11/2025: Impossible to go, the restaurant was closed on November 10th even though it was advertised as open. It says "no cards" but there's a ridiculous sign on the door saying "no cards." In short, we didn't go and we won't go in the future; they're taking us for a ride.

However, the experience is marred by unfriendly service beforehand, the disappointing quality of the breakfast, and a crucial lack of explanation (particularly regarding how to turn off the jacuzzi at night, as its pump is very noisy and runs continuously). The breakfast, comparable to a budget Lidl breakfast, contrasts sharply with the advertised and actual standard. When this issue is raised, the staff's response—arguing that it's not worth driving 12 minutes for fresh produce and that it's not included in their salary—is, once again, remarkably inconsistent with the establishment's reputation. It's a shame that such potential is undermined by these oversights. I hope the owner takes note of this feedback and makes the necessary improvements.

14/07/2026: Exorbitant price for two merguez sausages, half a tomato, and a few hash browns; wine served piping hot; no dessert offered! So no starter, a meager main course, a beer as an aperitif, and a warm bottle of wine! A coffee: 37 euros per person!! Despite everything, the owner is friendly but would benefit from learning his trade. I received your reply; regarding the 22 euro set menu, you certainly didn't offer us the "tapas" you mentioned to justify the price!! As for the wine, simply immersing the bottle in a bucket with some ice cubes would have been sufficient, which is effective in this case. 15/07/2026: A very nice café that I've known for a long time, though it's quite a distance from my home. I stopped by to enjoy a nice cold beer, always in moderation of course, and I really appreciated it. You can come to this place in complete peace and quiet to have whatever drink you like—coffee, etc.—play the lottery, buy your tobacco... Go and stop by; I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

30/06/2026: La Plancha and its owner Rabah offer an exceptional welcome on Avenue d'Argenteuil. The pints are inexpensive and the mixed platter is well worth the trip... The clientele reflects the owner: friendly, dynamic, and interesting.

04/02/2026: Passing through Cerizay for a business meeting, I was recommended L'Atelier restaurant for lunch. The restaurant opens at noon. The warm welcome was excellent, and the explanation of the set menus was clear. The restrooms were very clean. The buffet was well-stocked, with three main course options—simple but generous—and a choice of three or four different desserts. The atmosphere was friendly, like a canteen. Consider making a reservation, as it's becoming increasingly popular.

10/12/2025: Overbooked at this hotel, they called me at 11:30 PM to tell me they no longer had a room and were moving me to another place! To top it all off, they called again between noon and 2 PM to ask me to move yet again because they hadn't noticed I had booked for two nights… A complete scandal!

08/12/2025: For me, what I expect from a hotel is a good night's sleep, so this one is great. The neighborhood is super quiet with government offices nearby. The reception staff are very good and professional. The hotel meets all the standards, although the breakfast could be improved, perhaps with boiled eggs, etc. Overall, I recommend this hotel.
