04/04/2026: Remember to book! A unique place, home-style cooking with fresh, local ingredients! We've been several times; the bar and restaurant are fantastic! I highly recommend this place, with its panoramic view from the terrace, bathed in sunshine and overlooking snow-capped mountains.

17/03/2026: We arrived for lunch at 12:00 as a group of seven to a half-empty restaurant. Unfortunately, no one acknowledged us for 25 minutes. When we were finally able to order drinks, we were informed that we would not be served any food. What made the situation even more confusing was that the table next to us was allowed to order food without any issue. I honestly don’t understand this approach. At the very least, it would have been appropriate to inform us immediately upon arrival that food would not be available. Very disappointing experience.

09/02/2026: A friendly, family-run restaurant. The food is good, no complaints. Everything is homemade. This is the second time we've been back to the area and eaten here.

02/07/2026: I stopped for a glass of Monbazillac, which was good. The terrace is pleasant. However, there's a lot of shouting at the bar inside, which is very unwelcome, especially on market day.

30/06/2026: A very bad experience. The food seemed to be frozen, but the real problem was the poor cooking. The service was mediocre and didn't make me want to return. I, for one, will not be going back.

09/07/2026: Fantastic place! The food is excellent, the decor and service are perfect, especially Nicolas, who is always smiling and has a very strong sense of service. Thank you for the always impeccable welcome; I truly appreciate it and highly recommend this place.

02/08/2026: Conveniently located on the side of the square. The staff are friendly and attentive. The menu is varied, and the prices are reasonable. The service is quick, and you can eat all day until 1 a.m., which is very convenient.

19/03/2026: I followed the reviews and relied on the rating, but this time it was rather disappointing. The setting is clean and "adequate" for a business lunch. However, the food was disappointing. My set menu consisted of a slice of York ham rolled up with mixed vegetables inside, accompanied by a salad with no dressing. It was pretty basic, but it did the job. The main course was a sirloin steak with fries. I asked for it medium-rare, but it was served rare. Okay, I can adapt, but the meat wasn't even warm through. The fries were dry, brittle frozen fries, accompanied by a few salad leaves, again without any dressing! The dessert menu was just as lackluster, and I ended up with two scoops of ice cream. Frankly, steak and fries as the set menu isn't exactly original. That's what all restaurants offer for those who don't like the daily menu!

30/05/2026: Not much to say, I stopped thanks to the Château de Clayette, which is magnificent.

14/07/2026: It's shameful to refuse a large table of 14 people under the pretext that they would be overwhelmed. We understood perfectly well that children pose a problem, so they must not bring in enough money.

14/07/2026: It was simply delicious! Bravo to the chef, because frankly, it's been a long time since we've eaten so well. Bravo to the waitress and the welcome. For me, don't change a thing.

07/07/2026: A small, unpretentious inn that deserves a better rating. The staff is very helpful, the potato pancakes were delicious, and the price was competitive. A pleasant place to stay, 5 minutes from Saint-Étienne.

25/06/2026: The atmosphere in this restaurant was absolutely appalling. I do not recommend the experience at all. The owner is extremely unpleasant, both to the customers and to the waiter who was doing his best! We were rushed to eat (the owner even came to get us outside to get dessert!!), and we had to leave by 9:10 pm, even though the posted closing time is 11 pm! The bill was also exorbitant. Furthermore, they didn't offer a menu; everything was spoken aloud, and you had to hurry to choose! I will never set foot in this place again, and neither will my family.

23/05/2026: The service was excellent, and there's nothing to complain about; the welcome I received on each of my visits was pleasant, even as recently as May 22, 2026. Regarding the rooms, I can't give my opinion since I've never actually stayed there overnight.

20/07/2026: Despite a very pleasant terrace, the same cannot be said for the owners and the overall atmosphere. We witnessed several instances where the owner made inappropriate remarks to one of his employees, who was on the verge of tears. When we expressed our shock, we were met with vehement responses claiming that "we don't know the context." Unfortunately, we believe that no situation justifies speaking disrespectfully to employees, especially in front of customers. This kind of behavior should no longer be tolerated in 2026.

17/07/2026: Espresso for €2.80… Besides being badly burnt, with only the roasted flavor and absolutely no coffee taste, it's outrageously expensive. On top of that, they don't accept cards for orders under €10 (without even mentioning it beforehand).
