14/07/2026: The owner was incredibly kind: my friend caught a stomach bug during the day, and the owner welcomed us warmly and helped us for a while. Thanks to her, my friend was perfectly fine by the afternoon. Thank you so much!

04/07/2026: We didn't understand the owner. We'd barely stepped inside. We had our dogs with us after our lovely walk along the canal. We were immediately accosted by the owner with a very curt, "I don't allow dogs." Which we completely understand. It's a food store (or at least I think so, since we didn't see any in the end). But why bark at us like that? I immediately left with the dogs, but after my wife called out to us, the owner doubled down with, "I don't allow dogs. Get out!" It's a shame, not a greeting, not a smile. I understand that dogs aren't allowed, but a little politeness in saying so wouldn't hurt. This review in no way judges the quality of the store, which we didn't have the opportunity to visit.

24/07/2026: Excellent kebab sandwich with raw vegetables like we used to eat in the 80s in the neighborhood. We called it a gee... very friendly owner.

18/05/2026: On a weekend in Paris, we had a great quick kebab! The homemade white sauce was delicious! A REAL kebab. A big THANK YOU for your warm welcome and generous smile.

13/07/2026: We stopped by chance, but we'll definitely be back! My mother had a homemade tarte tatin for afternoon tea, and I had wild blueberry ice cream. The dishes and pastries are made according to the season and what the chef finds at the market (I read it on the menu, and I readily believe it). Excellent value for money, served with kindness and a great sense of humor! A wonderful discovery! 🍀

08/07/2026: I didn't eat, just had an ice cream and a few other drinks. I met a boss like I wish I could meet more often. A bit like me when I ran my bakery. And yes, ladies and gentlemen, we are shopkeepers, always here to serve you, but don't overdo it, and don't take advantage of the situation to do whatever you want, as I unfortunately witnessed.

13/05/2026: Cocktail reception for 18 people. Perfect. Som, the restaurant manager, is very attentive and generous. We had a very pleasant evening. A place to recommend without hesitation.

02/04/2026: We wanted to have lunch there as a stopover during our walk on the Camino de Santiago, but the restaurant was full due to a seminar. The manager offered us a seat on the terrace and allowed us to eat what we had bought at the bakery. So we can't comment on the food, but the service and friendliness were excellent, and the terrace was very pleasant. Thank you very much!

21/04/2026: A place to avoid at all costs!!!! Arriving at 11:45 am and asking for a drink, we were refused service on the grounds that only regular customers were being served at that time. Thank you to the DDPP (Departmental Directorate for the Protection of Populations) for inspecting this type of establishment.

10/03/2026: The hotel is pet-friendly, which is why we chose it as our base, and it's not far from La Rochelle. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Their new "concept" is frankly a major drawback. No complimentary tray, no toilet brush in the restrooms 💩. Housekeeping is only available upon request.

13/01/2026: I spent one night in this hotel in January 2026. The reception was cold, as was the room! We had to ask for a space heater to raise the temperature! The heat loss through the ancient single-glazed window made the situation worse! The bathroom is outdated with few amenities! The entire hotel has been stuck in the past for generations; of course, some may like that, but neglecting guest comfort is unacceptable at this price! To make matters worse, there's a lack of trust! In fact, I left a sweater in the room and it wasn't returned!!! In conclusion, a hotel to absolutely avoid!

03/01/2026: We were passing through and had lunch at the restaurant, and it was a truly wonderful discovery. Elegance and refinement are the words that come to mind; the dishes were simply an explosion of flavors, beautifully presented. The waiter was lovely and explained the menu very well. I highly recommend it for anyone who truly wants to enjoy quality food. I had the tasting menu for €49.

16/07/2026: Passing through the area, we stopped at this restaurant. The food was simple but very good, and the portions were generous. Excellent value for money; the set menu (starter, main course, and dessert) was €15.90. A warm welcome. I recommend it.

01/05/2026: Nice roadside diner, a marquee in the back, plenty of seating. Decent meal, (good) set menu: (starter, main course, dessert) less than 18 euros. With a quarter-liter of wine. Small starter buffet... (only one serving per person) The waitstaff lacked focus at times (perhaps a little hard of hearing) but remained very friendly nonetheless. (Please don't overlook this!) At the end of the meal... I recommend the (house) dessert, a pure delight which, for me, is by far the best of all those I have had the opportunity to taste to date. Good value for money. 19/06/2026: Five stars for this hidden gem! It’s a lovely, cozy, privately-run spot where the chef also serves you, creating a wonderful and personal atmosphere. You can truly taste the sea in every bite. ​Fish Soup (9/10): Absolutely amazing. Intense, incredibly flavorful, and clearly made from the freshest stock. A must-try! ​Grilled Sea Bream (9/10): Perfectly fresh, meaty, well grilled, and paired beautifully with a classic jacket potato. ​Seafood Platter (8/10): Fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. Generous portion. ​Small Fried Fish (8/10): A generous portion that totally hit the spot. ​Highly recommended if you want authentic, fresh seafood! Price not bad considering the food quality.

16/05/2026: In fact a place you should not miss, if searching for a great seafood restaurant. We had delicious oysters with a glass of superbe champagne, followed by sardines and tartar salmon. Try out the desserts. Meeting a local couple our age and having a kind conversation made a great evening. We will come back!

13/03/2026: Food was excellent! Staff was very friendly and they had a menu in English. They let us do substitutions on our food. All around excellent food and service. I had the salade chevre chaud and it was amazing. I’ll have to come back and get another of these salads before I leave.
